Pros/Cons
Pros
- I liked it's system setup, ease of use, report editing ability is among the best with Report Builder and online control. BOM layout and ability to edit an order specific BOM with ease.
- Their security is as robust or simple as you'd like it to be. Lastly, if you're familiar with SQL databases, they have a very nice interface through their own Analytics Product and Power BI.
- Overall I am very happy with Genius, the help from their team resulted in a successful deployment and.
Cons
- You have to pay for everything all thetime; Very poor customer service.
- I have often been very frustrated when I had to spend an hour or even 2 hours sometimes to get a simple question answered that could literally have been done in less then 5 minutes.
- Lots of windows opened for all the different modules. Lack of online access to modules.
Pros
- My favorite thing about Teamcenter is to ease of use. Saving and uploading is easy, CATIA integration is fantastic.
- Extreamly powerful software, endless customizations , secure & reliable, works great with NX.
- It has great capability to interface with other ALM Tools like which stores information for Requirements Management, Design Management, Test Management, Change Management, etc.
Cons
- Overall I have had a fairly negative experience with Teamcenter and it is overall a difficult program to use and work with.
- If you are a small to medium size company, forget it. It will be the costliest mistake you will ever make.
- Our administrator is bogged down with explaining this software to users, and there are plenty of ways people can go wrong with this.
