WSP implementation

Very good customer service experience from the LASTRADA team

PROS

Automating a very manual process in our field and laboratories will have the most impact to our team. Integrating a workflow from field investigations to sample inventory to final reporting will save our firm valuable time and considerable resources as well as provide the digital solution that our clients need. Providing a digital platform to organize and automate the most manual aspects of our business, integrating our testing and field investigations, automating our reporting and synchronizing with our internal and external partners will have exponential benefits. Change is always difficult but like any software implementation, the tool gets easier every day that you use it. The LASTRADA team has been available to support WSP at every step in the process to ensure a successful launch.

CONS

Construction laboratory workflow solutions are not readily available in Canada and customizing the software/templates to Canadian standards requires considerable effort from both our team and the LASTRADA team. Transitioning from a manual quality system to an automated quality system requires some initial effort to establish an appropriate database both current and historical but once established, the process will save time and effort throughout our labs. Software security is paramount to our firm and requires regular attention and updating with our IT team, the integration with our digital partners requires regular attention and will continue as we customize our digital solution for our clients.

Availability in Canada, the desire to accommodate the Canadian technical standards and the ability to be bilingual.

it has been both good and frustrating. we enjoy working with the team, but feel over-promised on things regularly.

the idea of it sounds great and is intended to increase efficiency and workflow

it seems like it is not quite there. there are a lot of bugs and things that are needing to be worked out.
