This was a fundamental choice for us. #### Cons There are a small number of things that could be improved. In order to send an invoice I have to either switch to Xero and send from there, or download the invoice and attach it to an email. Robust enough to work for most manufacturers. I'm even able to find in system work arounds for a few use cases that aren't planned for in the software. #### Cons No good way to back date entries. As a small business you don't always have time to record everything into the software. This effects summary reporting. If we ship out an order on the 29th, but it doesn't get record until the 2nd. You can't make it appear in certain reports for the correct month. Multiple steps to workflows can be cumbersome. The software seems designed for a team of people. A sales person putting in a SO, another putting in request for shipment and someone in the warehouse pulling and releasing the order. We are a smaller company that primarily uses MRPeasy for cost tracking across complex manufactured products. It does exactly what we need for managing manufacturing orders and tracking raw materials. For a small to mid-sized manufacturer, the underlying engine provides the necessary discipline without the overhead of a massive ERP system. #### Cons Pricing: While the admin cost is fair, paying $50+ USD per worker just to have them "punch in/out" on the floor feels steep, especially since we don't use 70% of the features (like CRM or POs). UI/UX: The interface is outdated. We use iPads on the factory floor, and the layout isn't touch-friendly—the "Stop" and "Go" buttons should be much larger. Regional Logic: As a Canadian company, we’d prefer CAD pricing. Additionally, we’d love a smoother "currency toggle" in the UI. I have already recommended this to many small business. Great visibility to cost structure, efficiency in production. Nothing but good things. I have used SAP Business 1 Manufacturing module and Netsuite, I love MRPEasy way better. #### Cons Lack of controls, not a big issue for small business. Template design flexibility. Returns and Credit management is bit tricky. You have to integrate with QB or an accounting software. I use this only for manufacturing and traceability. We are 8 months in and are functioning okay. A lot of our back end data is much more accessible and synced across all departments which is much better. We struggle with cycle counting inventory and need better reporting for sales analysis for items that are used in sub-assemblies and sold in many different kitted SKUs. We still have a few items to implement like productivity reporting and inventory syncing with our ecommerce platforms. You can navigate through different contextual menus and settings pages that are provided in relevant places throughout the system. Their customer support, while sometimes borderline too concise, is prompt and helpful. They don't brush off issues and investigate issues and report back to you when they have been resolved. They know their manual well and reference it often when troubleshooting so you get to know it well too to refer back to in the future. Their system is highly standardized which helps companies who have not used an MRP system before standardize their work too. It may feel restrictive at first but they implement best practices in order to succeed in their software and you are better off for it. Their network of consultants proved helpful during initial implementation. We paid for this additional service and were pleased with its impact. #### Cons The learning curve is steep and will test your patience as you understand how different functionalities communicate with one another. It is easy to bring your assumptions into the system and have it not work as you hoped. A lot of times you will say "that makes sense if you think about it but I have never thought about it that way" in regards to system behaviors that seem like a bug or go against how you currently operate. If your company is complex, MRPeasy will visualize that for you and some staff may be uncomfortable with that initially. The capability means you may also overcomplicate some parts of setup and may simplify them later on. You may still need to rely on spreadsheets for reporting as not all the information and reporting may match your needs. #### Reasons for choosing MRPeasy The free trial allowed us to experiment with many different use cases ourselves instead of relying on a sales rep saying it would work. And allowed us to do more with fewer people. #### Cons limiting the number of BOM's and Routing allowable on the system at any one time. The help docs are great and available right where you need them. And the price is good - we moved from something that looked a little nicer, but essentially did the same thing. In doing so, the page refreshes and extra parts appear. This seems logical but modern gui's dont usually work this way. My overall experience with MRPeasy has been very positive. Previously, I was maintaining several complicated excel files to manage our production. Switching to MRPeasy eliminated all of those and greatly simplified our processes. Currently, I have a virtual assistant that takes care of all aspects of our order fulfillment using MRPeasy. No incentive was offered MRPeasy was already partially implemented when I joined the company, and I did not have any previous experience with MRP systems when I joined. I initially thought that it was not the most user friendly system. It looks very "old school". We have been trying a few different systems, exact because our finace department uses exact, and we also gave odoo a try to perhaps move to more of a ERP system. However I felt that both exact and odoo was inferior to MRP easy, BUT, for the functionality that MRP easy offer I do feel that you charge a very high price for it. We pay 79 per user simply for a MRP system when for instance Odoo charges 39 for a ERP solution. We will definitely move away from MRP easy in the future, when we grow our manufacturing team, if you do not change this. Though the link with pipe drive is intriguing, I need to see how seamless this is so we can manage CRM and MRP all under one roof. We also use it as our inventory management tool to process all our purchase orders, packaging consumptions during productions. We also use the CRM option to plan all our customer orders, and this is really brillant. Basically, it's our complete backbone for all production related tasks about managing our cosmetic production process. We can also have all the tracking on batch that is highly critical in cosmetic, and it enables us to be fully GMP compliant. I can only recommend MRPEasy as it is really one of the only tool we found out that is not only super powerful, but can be adapted to any type of manufacturing, with a very good quality/price ratio and plenty of features that are really useful. We can run our entire Cosmetic production business for our brand and for our third-party customers from this application, at the exception of "formula" specific work (which is run by a specific professional cosmetic app). We can run from purchase order to CRM to Manufacturing Order and Plannification within one single app, and this is very powerful. The speed and reactivity of the SaaS platform is also great, which makes it very pleasant to use. It also let us being fully GMP compliant thanks to the traceability function which is critical for Cosmetics Manufacturing. #### Cons Sometimes, some operations are quite repetitive like adding a file to many different items: manufacturing order, item with batch produced, inspection, ... But it's manageable.
