This was a fundamental choice for us. #### Cons There are a small number of things that could be improved. In order to send an invoice I have to either switch to Xero and send from there, or download the invoice and attach it to an email. It's simply easy to use if you are familiar with resource planning (and no app will help you if you're not well versed in resource planning). Works the same on iPhone, iPad and laptop. Support is responsive and actually helpful. The AI support chat works very well. Documentation is expansive. But it's the attention to detail in terms of data, functionality, and workflow that made me fall in love with it. As with any resource planning software - the key to success is understating, planning, and implementing the data architecture that is right for your business. From templates, video instruction, documentation to friendly and helpful onboarding assistance from real people, MRPeasy helps you get things right the first time. The fact that it integrates with QBO and other accounting packages is a huge plus. That you can track backwards from specific finished product lots to specific ingredient lots really helps out consumer packaged food manufactures who heed this ability as part of their HAACP plan. #### Cons Not much to dislike. There are a few interface quirks that can be annoying: Can't re-schedule an MO from the MO itself - need to move them around in the calendar view; CRM module is awkward, and not really of much use unless you plan to use it as your primary CRM. Robust enough to work for most manufacturers. I'm even able to find in system work arounds for a few use cases that aren't planned for in the software. #### Cons No good way to back date entries. As a small business you don't always have time to record everything into the software. This effects summary reporting. If we ship out an order on the 29th, but it doesn't get record until the 2nd. You can't make it appear in certain reports for the correct month. Multiple steps to workflows can be cumbersome. The software seems designed for a team of people. A sales person putting in a SO, another putting in request for shipment and someone in the warehouse pulling and releasing the order. We are a smaller company that primarily uses MRPeasy for cost tracking across complex manufactured products. I have already recommended this to many small business. Great visibility to cost structure, efficiency in production. Nothing but good things. I have used SAP Business 1 Manufacturing module and Netsuite, I love MRPEasy way better. #### Cons Lack of controls, not a big issue for small business. Template design flexibility. Returns and Credit management is bit tricky. You have to integrate with QB or an accounting software. I use this only for manufacturing and traceability. We are 8 months in and are functioning okay. A lot of our back end data is much more accessible and synced across all departments which is much better. We struggle with cycle counting inventory and need better reporting for sales analysis for items that are used in sub-assemblies and sold in many different kitted SKUs. We still have a few items to implement like productivity reporting and inventory syncing with our ecommerce platforms. Overall our staff has rated MRPeasy a 3.5 out of 5 on an internal grading compared against our own KPIs for the system. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 4/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros The UI is modern and clean without a lot of clutter. You can navigate through different contextual menus and settings pages that are provided in relevant places throughout the system. Their customer support, while sometimes borderline too concise, is prompt and helpful. They don't brush off issues and investigate issues and report back to you when they have been resolved. They know their manual well and reference it often when troubleshooting so you get to know it well too to refer back to in the future. Their system is highly standardized which helps companies who have not used an MRP system before standardize their work too. It may feel restrictive at first but they implement best practices in order to succeed in their software and you are better off for it. Their network of consultants proved helpful during initial implementation. We paid for this additional service and were pleased with its impact. #### Cons The learning curve is steep and will test your patience as you understand how different functionalities communicate with one another. It is easy to bring your assumptions into the system and have it not work as you hoped. A lot of times you will say "that makes sense if you think about it but I have never thought about it that way" in regards to system behaviors that seem like a bug or go against how you currently operate. If your company is complex, MRPeasy will visualize that for you and some staff may be uncomfortable with that initially. The capability means you may also overcomplicate some parts of setup and may simplify them later on. You may still need to rely on spreadsheets for reporting as not all the information and reporting may match your needs. #### Reasons for choosing MRPeasy The free trial allowed us to experiment with many different use cases ourselves instead of relying on a sales rep saying it would work. Improved our materials forecasting requirements for different factories based on current orders. And allowed us to do more with fewer people. #### Cons limiting the number of BOM's and Routing allowable on the system at any one time. The initial quantity is very high and took almost 2 year to reach the Cap but once it was reached is caused a lot of issues and we had to start doing regular maintenance on the old out dated BOM's to get the numbers down. #### Reasons for choosing MRPeasy Overall it offered more features and allowed us to track multiple sites simultaneously. #### Vendor response Thank you, Andre! The help docs are great and available right where you need them. And the price is good - we moved from something that looked a little nicer, but essentially did the same thing. In doing so, the page refreshes and extra parts appear. This seems logical but modern gui's dont usually work this way. My overall experience with MRPeasy has been very positive. Previously, I was maintaining several complicated excel files to manage our production. Switching to MRPeasy eliminated all of those and greatly simplified our processes. Currently, I have a virtual assistant that takes care of all aspects of our order fulfillment using MRPeasy. All information can easily be accessed from almost anywhere in the system. If all you have is a part name, or a few digits of a long item number. Its easily finds what you are looking for and you and trace the info with a click of the mouse. Very customisable. Excellent AI chat bot #### Cons As a UK user. That transition was not difficult. #### Cons The application did take some time to get used to. We use it to manage product and people from the purchasing of raw material to shipping finished goods. For the money it is the best program we've found. #### Cons It is really hard to get a detailed report on a manufacturing order. I like to see how our projected time matches up with actual on each process but I haven't found a way to do that. No incentive was offered MRPeasy has been a great way for us to transitioning to MRP. We've formalised our item and BOM structures, improved our production planning and made our operational purchasing more robust with this software. No issues with the software being slow. The program is intuitive and can be picked up easily. There is a surprising amount of functionality. The Junior MRP easily supports multi level BOMs, different production resources, customisable fields on items, adding images etc to items. Stocked and non-stocked items are supported, as are indivisible items (I've seen some much larger systems that don't support this). Safety stock levels can be easily set and maintained, allowing for simple planning. The inventory system allows a fair amount of freedom to define stock locations as needed. The purchasing system works fine, allowing easy tracking of what is on order. I'd say something similar for the Customer order interface -customer orders can be input easily, documents such as proforma or commercial invoices can be defined. We've definitely appreciated the customer support we've received. Answers come back within 24 hours and though not everything can always be changed, the answers are helpful. On more than one occasion I've provided feedback on certain screens and have had the response come back that yes, that sounds like a good change to make and we'll release that change in a week or so. We've found this super helpful and haven't seen that from too many other software companies. #### Cons There is not too much here, but the main bugbear for us is the work orders. Our BOMs have multiple levels and we would expect that MRP would spit out individual work orders for each operation that needs to be done. Instead, a single work order comes out, which can be worked on by different resources, but when a production process can take several weeks that means things like WIP become hard to manage. So we have to either accept this and make that work or split our work orders down, which makes production planning more manual. #### Vendor response Hello James, Thank you very much for kind words and detailed feedback! Regarding too big work orders. MRPeasy has a special environment optimized for workers: Internet-kiosk. It shows tasks that are assigned to a particular worker.
