About RamBase

RamBase is a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution that caters to mechanical, electronic and high-tech manufacturing businesses as well as wholesale distribution companies. With the application, you will be able to integrate data and processes across various departments and locations.

RamBase enables users to define sales pipelines, manage procurement, perform quality assurance tasks and more. The solution's production applications include bill of materials (BOM), process routing, master production schedule management, material requirement planning, shop floor control and capacity planning. The logistics module helps users gain visibility into the incoming and outbound flow of goods, as well as in-house management. Users can track and manage freight rates, carriers, shipment tracking and approvals.

RamBase also offers an integrated development platform to customize, adapt and extend the solution according to your business needs

    Excellent control and smooth operation

    If you are a manufacturing company, you will have complete controll of even the most complex manufacturing processes. I'm a bit unsure if it hits project-intesive companies just as good. I guess it depends on if you "make" something or not. If you do, RamBase is a winner. If your mainly into services it's maybe not the right choice

    It just works. Preconfigured processes gives access to advanced functionalty almost right out of the box. The sales/delivery and procurement processes are closely tied together and all kinds of demands are calculated and re-calculated in realtime. This makes it nearly impossible to ignore the effect of your commitment against the customer. In addition, a very fine-grained and detailed control in production gives tracing of all possible changes in your project. From the smallest "swap" in materials to large variation orders
    Cons:
    You are a little bit locked into the RamBase preconfigured processes. But I know that this is an area that is undergoing changes the next couple of years, so i guess the users just have to be patient about this. The use of open webstandards throughout the product will at least make it possible to make it a very adaptable product

    good training, but we had to create our own training guides so i would say for future reference that you should have more detailed step by step guides available (our scribe documents that we created as much better than any of the teaching guides that Rambase had available)

    full traceability, detailed structures and quite easy to follow steps in each process
    Cons:
    some basic functionalities such as issuing stock not available so have to find a way around it.
