Overall, I have had a very positive experience with SPC for Excel. I have outlined some opportunities for additional improvements in the "Cons" section. However, more YouTube video instructional tutorials around interpretation would be very helpful. Excellent software package!

I found SPC for Excel most sophisticated of the three that I tried. It was easy to use, had the capacity to analyze data, conduct SPC testing in the simplest and advanced forms, and I thought it would be best used to teach novice learners.

More YouTube video instructional tutorials; especially around interpretation of the statistics. It would be great if y’all would have the ability to produce an interpretation of the SPC output in basic narrative form for the user to read and digest, in application to the SPC visual. For example, when splitting an Xmr chart, how are the control limits changing at the rare event interpreted. What does this change in control limits mean?

Prior to having SPC for Excel, we used another software that we already had to create control charts manually. The process was tedious, but we did manage to produce something approximating a control chart. Now that we have SPC for Excel, there’s no turning back. It’s incredibly simple to use, Excel based, flexible to the user’s needs, and produces very professional looking control charts and other statistical analyses. I’ve also learned so much by dipping into articles saved in the SPC Knowledge Base. Thank you for creating this remarkable tool and all the supporting materials – it’s transformed the way we present and think about cycle time metrics.

- It's extremely simple to use. After I watched the 5-min video, I could produce control charts easily. - It's Excel based. I no longer need to switch between applications or worry that another team member can't open the file because they don't have the software. - It's flexible. I can adapt the run test rules according to the norms of my organisation. - Results are very professional looking. - Although not a comment about the software, the articles saved in the SPC Knowledge base are extremely helpful. SPC for Excel is a powerful complete statistical program for every Green Belt and Black Belt no matter the industry. High recommended for the easy of use, intuitive menus and seamless interface with excel. From Graphical to Variable Analysis and advance statistics - the software is foundational for all Black Belts and highly recommended for its user interface, help menus and straight forward outputs for interpretation.

Only con - it would be nice to have user guides with examples and data sets for leading a hand with interpretation of the advance topics (p-values), Normality, anderson darling, ANOVA, Hypot, DOE’s etc

The use of this software has reduced the amount of time we formerly spent creating data packs for DOD products by over 80%. The company offers a free trial for all features of the software. Customer support has been phenomenal. I have ordered copies for all personnel in my department.

The program works seamlessly with Excel and has superior graphics capability (control charts, histograms, etc.). It is very intuitive and easy to learn how to use. The price of the software is very reasonable as well. A user manual is provided that offers exceptional documentation, but because the software is so intuitive, I refer to the user manual infrequently. The company also offers a knowledge base of excellent, well-written articles about statistics. However, by far the most notable advantage of this software is the customer support that is offered, which is without equal.

There are no aspects of this software that I dislike.

SPC is a tool everyone in aviation SMS must have. A Safety Management System for airlines or airport does simply not work without SPCforExcel Process Control. SMS is all about control of processes and if an airline or airport operate within their own wishful safety boundaries. Without Data and analyzing this data in SPCforExcel, it's just your, or some else's opinion. In Aviation Safety opinions have no value, they are just words. By integrating SPCforExcel into an organization, an extremely high confidence level can be establish that operation is safe and have processes in place for safety. SPC forExcel is not just a safety tool, but also a sales tool. How great would it not be to present potential customer with facts that the operation is safe? And that's what SPCforExcel can do. I have used SPCforExcel in SMS for many years, both in the aviation industry and as an inspector with Transport Canada. I found that by managing processes there are huge cash-savings. Not knowing what is behind the data is lost revenue, and SPCforExcel is an excellent tool to catch money-wasting processes. There is a saying that there is "never enough time to do the job right, but alway enough time to do the job twice". SPCforExcel is a tool to avoid doing the job twice, since it can be established if what we do works or not. Without SMS in aviation, the confidence level of regulatory compliance and operational processes for safe operation of airport or aircraft are unknown. In a non-SMS organization, and without SPCforExcel, the confidence level is 100% certain to be completely unknown for performance of safety and often these unknown processes are skewing towards unsafe operations. My experience is that SPCforExcel is the Moneyball in Baseball. I can now see what is happening, and select the best "players" to achieve the highest possible safety level. These "players" are not people, but applicable processes on how we do thing in aviation to achieve safety. SPCforExcel is data analysis and it eliminate emotions in making effective decisions. Statistical Process Control and SMS are profit makers when applied to desired operational results. When applying SPC to Aviation Safety, an organization has established measurable parameters. Without measurable parameters it is all just guess-work. I asked myself many years ago why would someone apply a process when they knew the outcome would be an airplane crash? The answer is that they did not have statistical process control.

I am a Machine Shop Quality Manager and a 6Sigma Black Belt and I use statistics in almost everything I do and therefore love the simplicity of this software. I do have to use other statistical software packages due to customer specific requirements but SPC for Excel really is my "Go To" software for statistical analysis. I find myself recommending this software to others almost every time I discuss a statistical report.

The fact that this statistical package sits nicely within Excel means that with just a few clicks you can integrate meaningful and easy to understand statistical reports within any project without moving from software package to software package.

I have been using SPC for Excel for a number of years now and when I compare the software to other statistical packages I have used, this software really doesn’t have any flaws or niggles that I can find. I have no negative feedback to offer!

Mainly I'm solving the process improvement s and MSA with use of DOE, SPC, BACI charts and other tevhniques.

I like the most the easy access and very intulitive menu. Moreover as a user in the past other software this did not required learning from begining. Here just plug and play

Multivariante Cpk analisys and weibull reliability options shuld be incorporated. That will make SPC for Excel more valuable

The SPC for Excel has kept up good with the updated Operating Systems and Office platforms. The Tech support has been quick. Once i have the charts that i like, I can easily update what i have instead of recreating new charts every time. Much easier to learn than Mini-tab and gives me what i need for my peers at the plant to understand. Many people are visual learners and can see problems better with the correct SPC charts. The SPC for excel helps get the information to those that need it.

I like the common features of using Excel. You don't have to learn a new set of navigational tools. I can easily prepare presentations for upper management to identify problem areas and help reduce production cost. Additionally, i can present data for team meetings to help make the teams more productive.

For the price, there is not much to not like. the instructions are readily available and the system helps to walk you through the process in the different modules.

Overall it has been a life saver, not only allowing us to meet tight deadlines on PPAP submissions but also an excellent tool to monitor our processes.

Your plugin is fantastic - it really has accelerated the process of getting insights from my data, and your fast response to support and theoretical questions alike has really accelerated my learning. I have used it to analyze incident reports at work, and to see what the trend is in my personal weight loss program.

BPI introduced SPC for Excel to us back in the 90's. It worked great then and it's even better now. It is a great tool for someone that believes in the power of SPC. This helpful tool allows you to spend your time analyzing and improving your process instead of trying to find the best way to measure it and then wrestle with tedious calculations. SPC for Excel can do all of that for you. You will find this tool intuitive and user friendly whether you've been using Excel for 20 years or 20 minutes. Customer service is outstanding. I highly recommend it!

May be difficult for new excel user and cost

The most that I like about this product is the SPC software is very cost effective and user-friendly.

Easy to use, easy to train even for novice Excel/SPC associates. Fits right into our LEAN culture. Support requests are few and far between but are promptly handled with 100% satisfaction. Will not use anything else!
