Synergy excellent for collecting data
Overall, it's a breeze for Capturing data and project management.
Pros
I like the ease and the intuitive way the structure is set up and the logical process
Cons
I do not like the interface finding specific tabs can be confusing I also find some menus difficult to work with this may be because we're an international companh
Reasons for switching to Synergy SPC

Synergy 2000 Software
We have been using the synergy software since 2010. The software is extremely easy to set up, use and maintain. I also like the fact that I can insert documents and video into a data bank which help the operator to understand the measurement points, and technique. The customer support is superior. They follow up with the customer to make sure that all the needs are being met, and are always available when questions arise. I have used many different types of statistical software over the course of my quality career, but have found the Synergy software to be the best.

Overall, I enjoy the software. Easy to use, live run charts making understanding trends easier.
Live in-line data trends. Saves time and money in being able to make quick judgement calls to help best streamline our production process.
Pros
The live run chart is a crucial piece of information for us. It allows us the opportunity to make on-line decisions and changes to adapt to changing parameters. We have everything separated into designated data banks which make it easy to organize.
Cons
There are some functionality items that we are wishing to incorporate. Working with the technical team to figure out what would work best. The only issue that I have is the ease of setting up various data banks. I am able to set up a template and save the characteristics, but I still have to go through and check off boxes in the data bank map for graphs and whatnot. Not terribly hard, just time consuming.

over all its been a decent product but I don't feel we got what we paid for and continue to pay
allows us to record and SPC parts with ease
Pros
its easy to deploy and simple for operators to use, once the database is all setup and users created adding data is much easier and can be taught in 1 day training
Cons
I bout the Synergy3000 SQL version and we did not have SQL server pro so we used the free version. had trouble after the first year and the support blamed it on the sql server being free not full, so we upgraded started all over and had to transfer all our data, here we are a year after that and its running slow again, then then tell me that we need to hire a DBA to help clean our database all the time. not something you want if your a 1 man IT department. we frequently would get programming errors that someone with no database experience could fix. and we pay annually for updates and service and rarely see updates so not sure what we are paying for because we rarely call service

Works great for controlling a process or working variation out of the process.
Improved process control and improved product performance. The software also helps with containment of bad by recording lots numbers, time and date stamping, alerts (in software and email options and logging assignable clauses.
Pros
Easy to use for operators and set up engineers for all types of parts, stores data and makes all types of SPC charts in seconds. Synergy manager is easy to use dashboard to monitor operations performance. Software can produce reports as needed for part performance by lot, over a specified period of time. I work auto and industrial industry and would recommend this software for any manufacturing that validates dimensions.
Cons
Annual renewal per seat is pricy. Recommend using only the number of seats needed for your company. A discount on number of seats renewal would be nice.
