highly recommend WFX

Previously to WFX our Product lifecycle was handled in the ecomm platform and using sheets. needless to say it didn't scale well. WFX

PROS

Its extremely simple but amazingly complex at the same time, allowed for us to ease into the PLM slowly adding functionality and new processes to the team. The ease of use helped a lot when migrating the company processes. BUT THE single best thing about WFX is the company and the level of support. We've had several PM/AM's over the past years and they have all been outstanding, there is a LOT of functionality in WFX so having excellent support from WFX means we can discuss industry standards and implement on best path for us.

CONS

not a lot to be honest that we dislike. a lot of our initial worries have all been addressed, the company is also very quick to implement functionality or fix areas.

Reason for choosing WFX PLM

Pricing had a lot to do with it, BUT functionality, and technical support were the main keys that sold us on WFX.

WFX Customized PLM

Extremely positive, WFX has significantly improved our efficiency and productivity. The support team are always available to assist with any issue.

PROS

Apparel Techpack's with the ability to add fit comments with photo's giving clear direction to the manufactures. All information stored within an item for ease of reference for season to season. B.O.M listing all required components for easy reference and procurement.

CONS

Not having the ability to see small icon item views across more than 1 Collection. Cannot capture Cost in an item on a colour / style level. Not having a screen view function of care instructions, therefore having to repeating the process of select & print to ensure correct selection has been made.

Great potential but scope for improvement

Pros - Intuitive interface, good customer service, competitively priced, good for basic spec building software cons - Functionality, speed and features leave a lot to be desired. Slow speed, constant bugs, poor performance plague heavy user. Do not rely exclusively for PLM usage. slow speeds do not allow for efficiency. Good option as a spec software if on a budget, but be prepared for frustrating experiences if heavy user.

Fit for purpose & size

WFX has given us better transparency over our products lifecycle stages and better accuracy on our product data.

PROS

WFX has been the right tool for the stage & size of our business without bogging the team down in excess features. It's highly customisable & the team are flexible with configuration. It's very visual which allows us to plan our ranges more efficiently. The ability to easily export data is very useful.

CONS

The T&A critical path function is quite clunky & doesn't seem built for large volumes of SKU's. We wish there was better ability to export or view data at a colour level not within collections.

Reason for choosing WFX PLM

WFX was the best fit of cost &+ features for our needs at the time.

WFX - PLM adopted by Spell

It has been a long and stable relationship between Spell and WFX. We have continued to use more functionality of WFX and also refine our business practices as we continue to grow.

PROS

Having a one stop shop that stored all images, details and also data of our products. Using the critical path tracking has allowed us to identify any production delays earlier and act with a solution forward. WFX also integrates seamlessly with our current system NetsuiteIn a hybrid workplace like Spell, working on a cloud platform, compared to Server access, this means that updates and happening in real time without delay or difficulties

CONS

I would like to be able to scroll and freeze the T & A cockpit

A Great PLM System

All of our techpacks were done on Excel Spread sheets and had little to no details. Our previous process was time consuming to do category reviews, update specs and properly communicate. Since starting to use WFX, we are able to produce professional techpacks, give our suppliers all the information we need. It has allowed our Tech department to be so much more productive. As I learn of upcoming changes, I am even more excited about new ways i can use the system

PROS

What I like most about the system is the ability to customize for our business. The support has been fantastic- we can get training as needed, if we need specific reports our needs are quickly addressed. I love how the system keeps getting more user friendly and is adapting to how we really use it

CONS

Initially some reports were more difficult to run as we needed, but as we communicate, this is always addressed

Reason for choosing WFX PLM

We felt that we would get more personalized treatment and a more customized product with WFX

Cloud based PLM optimized work of our 6 person team

PROS

Immediate adaptability: adding new categories of information to be captured is easy and quick Communication of updates across all teams: our teams travel out of the office and need to keep the in office crew updated on all changes. WFX being cloud based makes it extremely easy to keep everyone on the same page. Reporting: Being able to pull from entire history of work with a few clicks and have it presented in a neat pdf is workday changing! Support: The support team responds quickly - we have seen system updates that directly address issues we are encountering

CONS

Our office uses Windows PCs, a few of the design functionalities only work on Macs. We are unable to fully use some features. Our design team still works in Illustrator quite often for these functions. Reliability of some functions is questionable, saves are not always captured.

A Happy Satisfied Client!

WFX has significantly improved our product design and development process. The productivity and efficiency of our design team has been increased by automating style creation through native integration with Adobe Illustrator. This allows our designers to be focused on designing products rather than managing data. WFX Cloud PLM was easy to adapt and roll out across our business. Online supplier collaboration enables us to share techpack details and receive vendor quotes directly in the system, so that our teams can more easily evaluate, negotiate, and track costs. Thanks, Sachin Luthra (PLM Specialist at Kit and Ace)
