Intelligence2day review

Intelligence2day has improved our ability to deliver timely and accurate market, industry and competitve intelligence in a consistent manner. They are easy to work with and have a community of users who share ideas and best practices.

Pros

Easy to deploy and use. Fits the way in which we think about market and competitive intelligence - using key topics, regular reporting, identfying trends, etc.

Cons

They have built out usage reporting recently and that was appreciated. There is lots of self-support material with videos and articles but a searchable knowledgebase would be nice.

Intelligence Today Review

A good experience, once the teething problems are done. New users would be mindful of being careful to get a very good set of Topics together and talk about how large numbers of users will be managed.

Pros

I like the simple premise of storing and tagging intelligence which then allows us to send out alerts to interested parties in the business. This happens daily. Different groups are sent different alerts depending on their area of interest. Over the last decade we have built a huge store of tagged market intelligence, relevant just to us as a business, which really comes into its own during the strategy making cycle. Our version of I2Day has a strong internal brand now. We dont over use it (ie. no automatic publishing of news feeds, its all hand picked content, although we use Contify and then pick from that). This means its trusted and not seen as spam.

Cons

Its not easy to deploy and link up to organisational systems, such as our CRM and Single Sign On, or Active Directories for user management. Had many a headache trying to make it work, not necessarily the fault of the platform or Comintelli, but this is the real world and a bit more pre-empting of problems would help. So major upgrades over the years have been problematic. Having said that, customer support from this (small) company is very good , they do their utmost, and we have built up a personal relationship with them over the years that would now be hard to break.

Intelligence2day keeps track of your business environment

Starting with the on-premises system in 2014 we faced the limitation that feeds from outside the company could not be connected with exceptions to API's and some selected feeds. So when we switched to the cloud in 2018, suddenly lots of feeds became available. The structures in the system which were developed in the first year now became a crucial part in our upscaling efforts. Because at the same time we reduced in staff and went from serving only one business unit to rolling it out across the company. The overall experience is very positive. On the one hand through intelligence2day we met the need of the company in driving down cost, reducing staff and deliver a high level of reliability. On the other hand with Intelligence2day we were able to deliver a customized view of the business environment to an expanding group of users.

Pros

The fact that you can serve a multitude of groups of users at the same time. The ability to fulfill users’ needs by simple customizations for groups as well as individual users. And the possibility to have it run completely automated with high reliability and low noise levels.

Cons

Not much actually. Ever since the platform moved from on-premises to the cloud all the downsides have disappeared.
