Pros/Cons
Pros
- I love that Canto allows us to get a better handle of our digital assets through customized tagging and make sure the appropriate people or groups to see the right images.
- I also love the Facial Recognition feature - no more tagging the same people over and over. The company consistently improves the software and innovates - releasing frequent feature updates.
- The simplicity for the system and the search is brilliant. Users find it very easy to locate the files they need and download in the resolution that suits them right up to max original size.
Cons
- The extension always disappears from our extensions, and it has to be cleared out of our computer which leaves all of our documents with missing links.
- There are fewer project management-related features in Canto than in some other products. The inability to assign tasks, for example, is absent from Canto at this time.
- I always seem to have trouble navigating the different folders. Sometimes things are not in the folders or expired.
Pros
- He's helped solve minor issues and answered common questions/concerns in a very speedy manner. It's also reassuring to know our assets are backed up on a cloud-based system and very safe and secure.
- MediaValet is a huge improvement over working with shared drives, we could never go back, the time saved searching for assets or even previewing an asset for a new project is never-ending.
- How organized you can be with your assets. It easy to use and the customer support team is absolutely amazing.
Cons
- Simply put: before MediaValet we had no Golden Master of any of our published resources. We now do, and so much more.
- Search function is hard to use and doesn't capture results easily.
- Wrike allows for all information for a project to be located in one place. No more searching through emails and folders to find information.
