Constant Contact

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

Overall, Constant Contact is a good product. Its limitations do not necessarily outweigh its good points but I recommend a test run to make sure it is the best fit for you.

Pros

1. Simple to add email addresses and contacts.
2. Several templates and pre-designed options for new users
3. CC integrates will several CRMs
4. Easy to reuse completed emails to quickly update and resend.

Cons

1. Design customization is limited. You cannot always put a picture or text exactly where you want it.
2. Sometimes what you see on your screen is not was is sent out. ALWAYS send a test email!
3. It is more expensive than other e-marketing options.

Good for a newly started small to medium sized companies with only few emails to send in a month

Pros

There are good basic templates which help when you are trying to finish it faster and get an email out immediately

Cons

It costs way too much and not really that helpful in many ways like other sites which offer advertising options too and integrations and sending emails integrated to ecommerce sites.

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

Pros

Constant Contact has tons of templates, an easy edit interface and integrations with many other software platforms to help streamline the marketing flow for myself and my clients. Lots of extras including surveys and sign-up forms. They also have a great library of video tutorials and excellent customer service.

Cons

Constant Contact can get expensive when you start getting lists over 5000. Also list maintenance (with any software) is a time consuming process. It would be nice to see bi-directional sync with some integrations like QBO so that when an customer is deleted or inactivated in QBO, it would also be deleted or inactivated in Constant Contact.

Pros

This plugin has free plans within Wordpress. They have a video (youTube) on integration, which is cool and necesarry for people like me. Great way to keep in contact with your clients/readers or whatever businees you're in. I use it for one of my blogs.

Cons

Sometimes, the newsletters go to my reader's spam. I'm having an issue pulling my current subscribers over. Right now, I have to send out 2 sets of emails. One for my past and one for my current. They just will not merge.

Ease-of-use

Customer Support

Value for Money

Pros

I guess it's a good database to keep information on customers and send an email blast.

Cons

I have 75 contacts with the same company. I do not want to enter the companies name, address and phone number 75 times. So I called customer service and asked if there was a way that I could place those 75 contacts (with email addresses) in Constant Contacts and then add the company one time. there is no way to do that. So I have to go in and enter the SAME COMPANY 75 times. Not Cool!!

Also, as I am entering contact information, the screen will jump around so I am constantly having to go back up to the top of the page to continue to enter the info.

Decent Email Marketing Solution

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

Pros

Constant Contact contains all the features you will need for your email marketing. There is a free two month trial that will help you determine if it is a good fit for your business. With no limitations to how many campaigns and emails you send per month some users will find they get the best price here.

Cons

Though there are unlimited emails / campaigns per month, you do pay for the amount of subscribers you have. And the pricing is not as affordable as some of their competitors. Additionally, there is a lack of sophistication in their templates, but with some work you can get it where you want it.

Value for Money

Pros

Constant Contact is a great software for email marketing needs and offers a 2 month free trial for small business owners. It also offers discounted pricing for non-profits and the best part is it doesn't limit the amount of emails or campaigns you send per month.

Cons

While the features and functionality are great it does have a few glitches that pop up here and there. The price for the software is on the higher end compared to other products like MailChimp.

Pros

This email system is a great tool for delivering news and updates to subscribers. The reporting tools are extremely useful when sharing important statistics with your marketing team and superiors (like a board of directors). The templates are super easy to use -- and nicely designed!

Cons

My only complaint about ConstantContact is that it seems more emails from CC seem to land in "promotions" folders than other systems I have used.

Of the 5-6 email marketing software's that I have tried in the last year... This one seems to be the best... and you pay for the best.

Pros

After trying simpler and less expensive alternatives, I decided to go ahead and use this marketing platform. I love the amount of emails you can send, and the lack of them that go into spam folders. The reporting is basically what you get almost anywhere, but so far it actually works and is accurate (that was a major issue is others.) Templates are easy to use and getting good at creating flyers is simple. Customer support chat feature is a bug plus.

Cons

This is at the top end of price for the type service rendered. The templates are simple, but full customization is very lacking.

Pros

It is easy to use, if all you want to do is upload a bunch of emails and send out. Sure you can segment a little, but nothing close to other tools that were created more recently, or updated. Constant Contact does offer many templates, but again if you send templates with these designs and that many images, deliverability is so so.

Cons

It's inflexible, unable to take a list and break it out into segments easily. Automations are not even applicable here, but basics like good tagging and following up on visitors is missing. While you can segment your list, this software is still stuck in the old days when opens and clicks were the sole measure. Plus they don't pull in extra data to give you a better idea of your contacts, like social media presence.

It is very user-friendly and consumer-focused. For the novice email marketer or the small business owner that is looking to venture into email marketing, it is a great solution to get started.

Cons

It's lack of customization. The email builder, while nice, severely lacks in the details area. There is nothing that compares to a hand-coded email, but I understand that not everybody knows how to do that, or has the budget to pay for it. That being said, there are competitors that have more advanced email builders.

I can create groups of people for different email purposes, including based on what the readers are clicking on and it makes it more specialized in a very easy to use way. If I don't know where to start with a new email, there are a lot of template options available as well that can be customized to fit our organization.

Pros

The new editor makes it a lot easier to customize so that it looks good for both the desktop user and the mobile viewer. Drag and drop features make it nice to adjust and edit quickly.

Cons

I wish there were a better way to add videos without it having to be a link, I know this is something that a lot of emails don't support, but there has to be a way that can pop up or use it another way so it looks better.

Overall, it's a great tool for those who are trying to send out messages.

Cons

Tracking is not the best so if your an SMB, trying to follow-up with opens, clicks, or downloads then I wouldn't suggest this tool as you need something larger. As I stated above, I can see how it might be difficult if you sign up and have never used a tool like this before.

Easy way to develop an email marketing campaign that provides tracking on open and click-though activity.

Pros

The free trial is a nice option allowing me to gain knowledge of email marketing tactics. They have a ton of self-help tools as well as awesome customer support.

Cons

Have to generate own content every time I want to launch. Wish they had an article library which I could drag & drop based on categories.

Pros

The good thing about Constant Contact is that you can send customized emails out to mass quantities of people whenever you want, but there are things that I wish it had to help people without a designer background.

Cons

For an email/newsletter campaign monitor application, I just think there should be more options of templates for people who don't have a background in design. I get emails from companies who use Constant Contact and they usually aren't aesthetically pleasing to the eye, almost ever. I think they need to update the templates and what you can do with the program. There are some people who can make it work, but some people need a little more help.
