Best ABM Tool Out There
I wish I had more of an opportunity to use the tool as I am no longer at the company I set it up for. But if your company has a difficult time understanding what prospects/accounts to prioritize and understanding your strongest target audiences/market, then Demandbase One is an absolute must. Especially if you use Salesforce as your CRM.
PROSAs a Salesforce administrator, I especially love the SFDC integration of Demandbase for starters. But I love the UI of the tool itself, that you can add custom tags & fields & dashboard/report views. I love the intuitive ability of the account scoring feature and while we hadn't setup lead scoring as well, I can imagine it's just as valuable for companies who use leads and get a lot of them.
CONSIt's a bit tedious to setup from the admin perspective if you don't have a very big ops team to do it together with.But aside from that, it's hard to find a complaint otherwise.

Best ABM Platform I've used
One of the biggest reasons I stay with demandbase is the customer service. Our CSM is fantastic, preemptive, and keeps our goals top of mind.
PROSDemandbase has a seamless UI that makes it easy to work in. I don't expect sales to actually log into the platform, so the salesforce integration is really helpful.
CONSThe CPM is high for the DSP - I would love to see that come down.

The team was friendly, incredibly knowledgable, and convinced me that they'd be there every step of the way, from implementation to day-to-day operations.

Overall, this may be a great tool for organizations with great sfdc information. However, not all organizations have great information. Especially ones that are still learning and growing rapidly. If your company is still growing, then this isn't the tool for you. There are other tools out there that can be more helpful for your outbound and inbound teams.
PROSIt's nice that it gives you insights on how and who (company) to connect with.
CONSI've used this tool for over 3 years and nothing has changed about the tool. It's rare to see anyone generate opportunities from the tool. It takes a very long time to get the tool out to everyone and once you do, the information is rarely correct. It'll provide you with lead information for other reps. If your company doesn't have great sfdc information then this tool will not be great for your organization. The customer support is not great. The sales reps make a lot of false promises and when asked about issues with the tool they don't have any answers. The tool is like advertising, nothing is guaranteed and the support team can't say much when it comes to help and issues.

Intent Data to Better Target
So far, my experience has been good. They have a really solid CSM team and have been very responsive.
PROSDemandBase is easy to use and has some great reporting features to measure trend over time for your target accounts.
CONSThe ad-serving capability is manual (meaning you have to provide their team with all of the assets and lists and their team sets up the campaigns and manages them. I have used other tools in the past (e.g. 6Sense and Terminus) where they just allow you to run the campaigns directly from their platform, which seems easier and faster.
Reason for choosing Demandbase One
Primarily because the ease of purchase - the platform was already an existing vendor within the larger company I am a part of, so the purchase process was faster and easier than starting from scratch.

Customee service A+ and great reporting and analytics across integrated systems
The most impactful features is the ability to personalize experiences by being able to create custom lists with many different filters/selectors. The lists created can also be integrated with our marketing systems such as LinkedIn/Marketo which is crucial for our lead generation. The reporting aspect is also great since our sales and marketing teams can measure success by tracking engagement at different journey stages. Lastly, our CSM is great and we always get the best support we need from her.
CONSWhile our CSM support is great, I feel that technical support and solutions from their engineers are not quick to respond and thorough enough.

Loads of great engagement features
Overall pretty happy with it as it does provide great insights.
PROSThis is a really useful tool for our sales teams in terms of seeing if their prospects are engaged. Really valuable from a sales and marketing perspective.
CONSI really wasn't impressed with the reporting aspect. Not simple at all and a rather confined process.

There are so many insight about what companies are doing and how they are interacting with your site. The visibility is so helpful with my day to day.
CONSI do not always agree with the rankings, but It is never an issue

Great platform
DemandBase has been great across the board. Our support team is great and provided us with tips on how to best leverage the tool.
PROSWe be been using DemandBase for almost 6 months and have had great success with the tool. Our sales people live the insights into prospects and current customers which allowed a them to act proactively.
CONSThat we can only operate it in incognito mode which is frustrating. Also it can sometimes be glitchy but not enough to be annoying.

I love the insights, very actionable.
I come from a digital marketing background and I can't get enough of the data and insights Demandbase provides. Being able to see which companies and accounts are actively searching for our solution helps our team make very timely touch points.
CONSI wish I could add more keywords to track. If I had more flexibility there I'd love it.

Lots of great features, if you pay top dollar
Customer service was slow to respond to my inquiries and routinely provided little to no help. After our most recent campaign and the reporting difficulties we faced, we were pitched on a new analytics platform they have available (for a large fee on top of what we already pay). I was not impressed with our first campaign run and have low expectations moving forward.
PROSIt gave us the ability to target the exact accounts we wanted to no matter where they were on the web in multiple ad formats.
CONSThe reporting platform was awful. Any type of data manipulation that I wanted to perform had to be done outside of the platform with a csv export. Even still, you were confined to the metrics that they defined, and those definitions were anything but simple. It took me 10 times longer than it should have to create a concise and easy to digest report from our efforts in our most recent campaign.

Great information but difficult to access and implement. Integrations and documentation not great.
The obvious positive is that the information they provide is extremely valuable. For marketing, understanding when people are looking for information on your product on and off your site is the holy grail. The problem is that this product does not make it easy to utilize this information outside of paid ads.
CONSPoor documentation, weak implementation consultants, shoddy integrations with Salesforce and Pardot, hardly any reporting functionality to make the information easy to access and understand. Support staff is not familiar with the product.

Recommend for Account Based Marketing
We can divide accounts into various stages based on the customer journey and target them using personalised ads with Demandbase. It helped us to shift to Account Based Marketing
CONSIf an account name or domain is not in the Demandbase system it can't target that account.

Great to Target Customers
I liked that we could see which companies in certain geographic areas were looking for our products and then be able to tailor messaging to their needs
