Enplug Software


 

Enplug is a cloud-based signage solution used to display digital content. Businesses across various industries can use Enplug to communicate their message to their target audience via social feeds, blogs, videos and other digital content.

Enplug allows companies to customize their content following their brand communication strategies. They can enhance their digital content by selecting apps from the Enplug’s app market. Users can monitor social media content’s run time on a visual dashboard. They can track viewers’ engagement with their content using posts tagged on Twitter handles and hashtags.

Additionally, Enplug offers features like content scheduling that enables users to decide the play time of an application, automatic filtering, device monitoring, built-in analytics and SSL data encryption.

Enplug offers services on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via email and through an online knowledge base.

It's easy to deploy Enplug quickly. They have a lot of features built-in that enabled me to get up and running quickly and it fit my business case. Once you have it configured, it is easy to copy your configuration to multiple displays. Honestly, I thought this project would be more difficult than it was. The hardest part was getting the paperwork through my Fiance department.

Cons

I think the interface could be improved. Setting up my display groups and apps was easy and it was easy to replicate it for new display groups, but if I wanted to change a similar setting across multiple display groups, I need to make the change on each display group. Minor, but it can be annoying.

Pros

The product is easy to set up and using the software is very easy. It's very simple to plug in the device and get started.

Cons

I can't think of anything that I like the least, but I would like if there was a way to create image files inside the software for social media branding.

Simple and effective digital signage for the front lobby of our business.
Had to call tech service only once but it was not an issue with the software.

Pros

Cloud based, user friendly menus allow easy updates and changes. Plenty of apps to choose from to customize your display. Once changes are made, the update to the digital sign is very fast.

I like how quickly you can customize your content and how quickly it shows up on the the TV. I really like how easy it is to upload images.

Cons

Still having a bit of issues getting the zoning app to work. I've tried it twice with no luck. I haven't had time to troubleshoot it longer so it might be something I'm missing/skipping. Also wish you could always have a real-time view when logged into the account as an admin to view what's being displayed in the lobby. Not a fan of capturing a screenshot.

We use enplug for events and they are flexible with our subscription that we can come back at anytime to use their services. The device is small and non-intrusive. Back-end software is simple to use, and manage. Great product.

Cons

Using enplug out of the box into a TV with HDMI is simple. When the setup becomes more complex, there isn't enough documentation to assist in configuration.

As a leader of an inside sales department, I use Enplug's digital signage to keep my team informed and motivated. We display things like key sales metrics, important announcements and company information, inspirational quotes, team photos, memes--the applications are limitless. This makes tech easy, it pushes the promotions we want, drives traffic to the places, times, and sites we desire, all with remote updates and easy installation. Cannot say enough great things about this product and all of its functionality.

Cons

It's a touch expensive TBH. But after time passes and text continues to improve, I believe that will change.

More social interactive, a great platform to showcase promotions, customers enjoy the changing content such as news, weather, maps, etc.

Pros

It creates a social platform for our customers to view promotions, menus, media posts, news, weather, traffic, sports and other fun apps. The digital ease of it allows me to keep it updated with fresh content that can keep viewers engaged. I enjoy being able to manage it from any computer and the changes take effect instantly. Our customers love seeing their photos/videos displayed on screen and getting to see other people's experiences be showcased. It's a great product, quick customer service, and having this as a feature in our center really adds to the overall social customer experience.

Cons

There will be times when the apps have issues which makes our display have a big "error" screen appear - this is obviously very unsightly, but normally after contacting their support team they get the issue resolved quickly and easily. If not, a quick system reset typically solves most problems. The available app selection has been increasing over the months, which I love, so I would like to continue to see a wider selection of apps to display. This service is not cheap, but if you want to add a social and digital experience to your business then it's a great feature to invest in.

For the "html web page display app". I understand the scheduling features aren't yet available. We would be thrilled to use that feature when it is possible.

Lovely team at Enplug Africa. Used Enplug on 3 occasions, Like the team's response time on and off offline. Also like the flexibility in your prices.

Pros

SOlution is unique, your simple and beautiful display interface is the killer for me. Of the several platforms I have explored, giving yours my best rating. On the backend, I like the fact that you can prime SM images engagement by uploading photos yourself.

Cons

Not cool with fact that when you upload multiple photos on facebook, the solution picks on the first photo for display.
Inability to get a selected tweet/post stay long on the screen for a long time. (see livetweetapp as ref.)
Software/Platform loading time. locations with poor bandwith should also be taken into consideration.
I dont like the fact that when I remove a selected tweet/post that has been displayed, I cant recall again easily till I refresh the page.

Advice to Others

Cost. Affordability is key. Please make this possible.

Our Facebook integration only shows posts on your Facebook wall, and it can only support one photo as you noticed. If you want to show more photos, the easiest way is using our Graphics App with import options from Dropbox, Google Drive, and many others.
We're working on making the platform better for areas with low bandwidth, and the device should keep running when the internet is disconnected.

From an IT standpoint, it was a really easy install. Another provider has required us to open up ports on the firewall to make their solution work. After finding out that enplug syncs without network modifications, that was the huge win from IT.

Pros

Ease of deployment. Simplicity of cloud setup.

Cons

None that i know of

From a technical standpoint it is perfect. The marcomm department really likes it too
