Great corporate personalisation Cons: Without analytics I can see the data in Google analytics but it's a mess!! and to pay 499 extra just to see those analytics is to much. Also the editable layer with links can be improved eg by a alignment tool for index pages. Sometime links are missing from InDesign and a part is created on a layer so we have double text. Oh, and I love the new bookshelves feature! Great way of displaying more than one publication. Definitely recommended! I've been using the platform now for over six years. I produce a quarterly specialist magazine on behalf of Mountain Rescue England and Wales. We're an organisation set up to help support the 48 volunteer mountain rescue teams based across England and Wales and the magazine is a key communication tool for us, both internally and externally. Until 2020, publication was purely print, delivered to team bases, often some distance from where team members live. But when Covid-19 hit, we were faced with a dilemma: how to get to team members when they might no longer be assembling at bases before heading out to rescue call-outs. Thanks to FlippingBook, we were able to create a digital version and share that widely, not just with teams but with individual team members. It's also enabled us to raise a wider awareness of mountain rescue, building a stronger base for our supporters and fundraisers. I like the sense of reading through a publication, page by page, rather than simply scrolling a webpage. That said, it's great to be able to harness web technology too, adding in hyperlinks and pop-out videos where appropriate. It really does create a 'living' PDF. I love that they are constantly looking at ways to improve their offering — witness the bookshelves — and great customer service too. It's extremely user friendly, both for me as creator and for the reader, it's easy to personalise and brand, and stunning to look at, and it's helped us hugely to expand our readership, to communicate with members, supporters and fundraisers. I especially like the new bookshelves feature — a great marketing tool! Customer support has been excellent too, when I've needed it. Cons: Honestly can't think of anything from a user POV. I like the way it simulates the print reading experience, with the page turn effect — so much better than simply scrolling a webpage or static PDF! After spending hours if not days creating print-ready publications and having the individual PDFs ready to go its just a case of uploading the file and bang it's there ready to add links etc. The software is very simple to use and has given our company an extra wow factor that our competitors don't have. Cons: It would be great to be able to overlay videos on to the flipbook or have some form of lightbox to show additional advertising of a product or service. By providing users our materials in Flippingbook format, they are more engaged, are able to share these links with others and in turn have saved us printing costs. Cons: We do like the ability to turn off things like printing, sharing, etc, however a lot of these things are easy to crack (i.e. if you disable saving, you can still print and save as pdf to retain the information on the screen). I reviewed a fair amount of options before choosing FlippingBook and this one was a good value with a lot of great features. I also like that you can send the book as an email with a nice template that shows a thumbnail of the image. Also, FlippingBook has stayed on top of keeping the software up-to-date and phasing out the old Flash versions. Cons: I don't like that the books that get loaded to the cloud can be indexed by Google. I sometimes see our books getting picked up by search engines, and I wish there was a way to avoid that.
