Bye bye Google

Took this tool to replace Google Analytics and it was a wonderful idea. It's simple, powerful and cheap tx to the Appsumo LTD

Pros:

- It's incredibly easy to set up and monitor on a daily basis - I had the chance to buy it in LTD on Appsumo and the price is incredibly interesting - My data is no longer with google (I used to use G.Analytics) - It offers me goals that it has identified itself so that I can make goals that will be statistically tracked - I can see the people who browse my site and the pages they have seen. It's very interesting to understand why some visitors leave the site without making a purchase - there is no need for a cookie! This is really the future of this kind of tool - It really measures everything that is measurable - Detailed reports can be downloaded and provided to the client - You can share a dashboard with the client so that they can see their statistics

Cons:

Still searching... For me it's just perfect.

Smart Tracker of Insights: Better than Hotmaps

Hockeystack is a smart choice, instead to watch heat map sessions, because focuses on the result what they click on, without having to watch the entire journey of each person or wasting time with session replays. Because of that you can create filters of people who take certain actions and pick out trends quickly. Literally, It shows me exactly what I need and I want to see. It allows me to discover insights that I didn't even know about. It concentrates on highlighting the insights and information that I need to run my online businesses

Pros:

Since data privacy is a big issue in Europe and most recently Google Analytics became problematic in the EU, I switched to HockeyStack. It works completely without setting cookies. So I don't need to get extra consent from visitors, nor do I lose any statistics. The setup is very easy and in no time the tracking code is integrated on the own website.

Cons:

The dashboard should urgently be made mobile responsive, also a mobile app would be desirable. Goal tracking did not work yet in my case. Recently it was rather quiet around HockeyStack, I hope that this will change in the future and more updates will be released.

Good alternative to expensive and complicated website analytics tools

HockeyStack helps me track visitors on my websites and know where the weak spots are and why visitors leave. Based on the actual data, it is easier to make improvements. Funnel tracking is a great helper in terms of website analytics, which I use regularly to understand conversion issues.

Pros:

HockeyStack is an easy-to-use software that is a nice alternative to many of the expensive and complicated analytical tools on the market. To start, you simply need to add a line of code to your website and the code itself is only a few kilobytes in size. What is especially good about this tool is that is cookieless and has a good potential in light of the future cookieless tracking that is on the agenda nowadays. Thanks to this software users can track every step of the funnel their website visitors make and know where exactly they fall off. You can use various tracking tags like browsers, countries, devices, language and so on. This tool does not provide session recordings or heatmaps as the founders claim they do not lead to actionable insights.

Cons:

I don't see cons as the product is still under development and they constantly add new features and take their users' feedback into account. It would be great to see heatmaps and sessions recording as well, as they are open-source and affordable solutions to have them on board so it becomes an all-in-one solution for marketers and web designers. It would be great to have a chance to add more team members as well.

Ease of use and creation of "automatic goals", finally an easy way to really track the performance of any button, element or action.

Cons:

Missing the heatmap/session recording functionalities, but I understand the team has a really good explanation for this: performance. Who can argue with that!

Google Analytics is complicated for many, especially for business owners and those who are less tech-savvy. HockeyStack makes analyzing and stats reading as beautiful as it goes. More importantly, my clients love the dark mode which is awesome.

Cons:

Some reports are limited (limitation applies) and need a little time to dive in (learning curve).

- In the "new era" of iOS14 update my favourite is Cookie-less tracking - simple 1-line website integration - automated insights are giving you valuable information without the need for you to dig deep into data - cross domain tracking - visual funnels are also useful

Cons:

I'd like to have more data available to look at and lack of possible column customization. I'm using tracking software on a daily basis (Bemob at present) and it gives me plenty of different ways to look at the data. HockeyStack has got filters to provide you with what you're looking for, but still another way to dig into the data would be v. beneficial I believe

Undervalued. Great alternative to Google Analytic and Oribi

Pros:

The dashboard is clean and easy to take information from. The goals and funnels are easy to set up and is preferred to Google Analytics events any day of the week. I am enjoying the ease in which you can swap URLs and the team member share feature is also great.

Cons:

I work predominantly on iPad Pro and there was a period where it became unresponsive on my device, but sent to a video to the guys behind it and the issue ceased and has been running fine ever since.

Reasons for switching to HockeyStack

Oribi was originally priced very well, but their pricing is now obscene. Cant warrant paying those prices for analytical data is free from Google at the end of the day. I’m happy to pay for something that improves my workflow, but not over the odds.

Simple to set up. Smart insights. It’s really one of a kind and the insights they give you is really, really good. eg: I can filter people who spent more than 3 mins on my website and checked out our silicone bibs. Then I can click on each of them and see person A went to check out one of our products as well (scrolled for 60 of the page), checked out our blog post about Y (scrolled 40%), added which item to cart etc… Can give you some real actionable insights, eg: most of these people i filtered who read this blog post ended up buying item A and also checked out item B, so I can do a product pairing recommendation.

Cons:

More suggestions and a Shopify native app (I heard it's coming)

Pros:

The best feature of this software is, there is no learning curve needed for it. It is easy of use. The Automatic Goal feature is what needed for every marketers to track their goals. You don't even have to skim through pages to understand the the traffic behavious. They kept everything under a hood.

Cons:

There are no heatmaps and session recordings to understand what is missing from my article. Why are the visitors bouncing?
