Missing the heatmap/session recording functionalities, but I understand the team has a really good explanation for this: performance. Who can argue with that!

Hockeystack is a smart choice, instead to watch heat map sessions, because focuses on the result what they click on, without having to watch the entire journey of each person or wasting time with session replays. Because of that you can create filters of people who take certain actions and pick out trends quickly. Literally, It shows me exactly what I need and I want to see. It allows me to discover insights that I didn't even know about. It concentrates on highlighting the insights and information that I need to run my online businesses

Since data privacy is a big issue in Europe and most recently Google Analytics became problematic in the EU, I switched to HockeyStack. It works completely without setting cookies. So I don't need to get extra consent from visitors, nor do I lose any statistics. The setup is very easy and in no time the tracking code is integrated on the own website.

The dashboard should urgently be made mobile responsive, also a mobile app would be desirable. Goal tracking did not work yet in my case. Recently it was rather quiet around HockeyStack, I hope that this will change in the future and more updates will be released.

HockeyStack helps me track visitors on my websites and know where the weak spots are and why visitors leave. Based on the actual data, it is easier to make improvements. Funnel tracking is a great helper in terms of website analytics, which I use regularly to understand conversion issues.

HockeyStack is an easy-to-use software that is a nice alternative to many of the expensive and complicated analytical tools on the market. To start, you simply need to add a line of code to your website and the code itself is only a few kilobytes in size. What is especially good about this tool is that is cookieless and has a good potential in light of the future cookieless tracking that is on the agenda nowadays. Thanks to this software users can track every step of the funnel their website visitors make and know where exactly they fall off. You can use various tracking tags like browsers, countries, devices, language and so on. This tool does not provide session recordings or heatmaps as the founders claim they do not lead to actionable insights.

I don't see cons as the product is still under development and they constantly add new features and take their users' feedback into account. It would be great to see heatmaps and sessions recording as well, as they are open-source and affordable solutions to have them on board so it becomes an all-in-one solution for marketers and web designers. It would be great to have a chance to add more team members as well.

Took this tool to replace Google Analytics and it was a wonderful idea. It's simple, powerful and cheap tx to the Appsumo LTD

- It's incredibly easy to set up and monitor on a daily basis - I had the chance to buy it in LTD on Appsumo and the price is incredibly interesting - My data is no longer with google (I used to use G.Analytics) - It offers me goals that it has identified itself so that I can make goals that will be statistically tracked - I can see the people who browse my site and the pages they have seen. It's very interesting to understand why some visitors leave the site without making a purchase - there is no need for a cookie! This is really the future of this kind of tool - It really measures everything that is measurable - Detailed reports can be downloaded and provided to the client - You can share a dashboard with the client so that they can see their statistics

Still searching... For me it's just perfect.

Overall, I'm very happy user of HS, and can recommend it to anyone trying to track user journey.

- In the "new era" of iOS14 update my favourite is Cookie-less tracking - simple 1-line website integration - automated insights are giving you valuable information without the need for you to dig deep into data - cross domain tracking - visual funnels are also useful

I'd like to have more data available to look at and lack of possible column customization. I'm using tracking software on a daily basis (Bemob at present) and it gives me plenty of different ways to look at the data. HockeyStack has got filters to provide you with what you're looking for, but still another way to dig into the data would be v. beneficial I believe

The dashboard is clean and easy to take information from. The goals and funnels are easy to set up and is preferred to Google Analytics events any day of the week. I am enjoying the ease in which you can swap URLs and the team member share feature is also great.

I work predominantly on iPad Pro and there was a period where it became unresponsive on my device, but sent to a video to the guys behind it and the issue ceased and has been running fine ever since.

Google Analytics is complicated for many, especially for business owners and those who are less tech-savvy. HockeyStack makes analyzing and stats reading as beautiful as it goes. More importantly, my clients love the dark mode which is awesome.

Some reports are limited (limitation applies) and need a little time to dive in (learning curve).

Simple to set up. Smart insights. It’s really one of a kind and the insights they give you is really, really good. eg: I can filter people who spent more than 3 mins on my website and checked out our silicone bibs. Then I can click on each of them and see person A went to check out one of our products as well (scrolled for 60 of the page), checked out our blog post about Y (scrolled 40%), added which item to cart etc… Can give you some real actionable insights, eg: most of these people i filtered who read this blog post ended up buying item A and also checked out item B, so I can do a product pairing recommendation.

More suggestions and a Shopify native app (I heard it's coming)

The best feature of this software is, there is no learning curve needed for it. It is easy of use. The Automatic Goal feature is what needed for every marketers to track their goals. You don't even have to skim through pages to understand the the traffic behavious. They kept everything under a hood.

There are no heatmaps and session recordings to understand what is missing from my article. Why are the visitors bouncing?

I love how I can see what actions users are taking on our site. With heatmaps you only see some red spots with hockey stack Ivan see where customers are coming from what customers are clicking where they are navigating to and what do they read and when do they make their purchase. Makes optimisation much easier.

A genius alternative to Google Analytics/Fathom/Splitbee and Hotjar etc My name is Haider Shah and I own a WordPress Hosting business called WP Buzz. We are one of the few WordPress hosting companies that do not only promise lightning-fast WordPress hosting but also practically demonstrate it by hosting our site on the same servers as our customers and openly displaying our site speed and letting the users test it. Here is how this tool solves my problems. Anyone who is a WordPress speed enthusiast would understand that other than being extremely complex, GA code can slows down the load time of the site thus affecting the User Experience. In order to find a solution to this, I was looking at lightweight GA alternatives. I came across multiple tools like Fathom, Splitbee and few others. All of them were impressive in the fact that they simplified GA reporting but they lacked one key element. The user interaction and journey mapping in order to assess how your users act on your page. Now for this purpose, you would probably need something like Hotjar. This means another subscription along with another external request which may slow down your site. Lo and behold. Here comes Hockey Stack. Not only is this tool a lightweight simplified analytics alternative to GA but it is a GENIUS combination of Fathom/Splitbee etc and hotjar. The user journey tracking was exactly what their competitors were lacking and hockey stack has nailed this feature.

No Cons whatsoever. Still adding features.

I love the setup speed of this product. In a matter of minute you begin seeing traffic and you can setup the first goal, like a button click, or the visit of a page. Integration in wordpress for all my sites and blog are as easy as copy and paste. I love how goal are managed, and how easy is to create funnel that leave by that goals.

I think that actually the product is really impressive. I hope to see however some good addition, for example some automatic insight about best keywords used from visitors, or a better notification system.

It might not replace GA/GTM (just for analytics and tracking, not script injection) for power users YET, but the hope is HockeyStack will replace GA/GTM in a year's time or so. The tool looks promising so definitely in for the ride.

This can solve my problems regarding google analytics and tag manager and i can now see every move on my websites better.

Its very simple to add to any type of website. Very easy to create Goals and see user actions. Better than any heatmap, this create the actions to track automatically. The [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is very receptive to new ideas and processes.

Needs more Woocommerce integrations to see all the interactions, but I know that this will be implemented.

Overall I prefer using Hockeystack to Google Analytics, much simpler, easier it install and setup

The thing i like most about Hockeystack is its simplicity. Very easy to install and use. Gives actionable insights into the way visitors are interacting with your site.

Great experience so far. Within months, a lot of useful insights have been added, and it's now a very thorough tool to get stats from the website.

The software makes it very easy to track useful stats, it's extremely intuitive to use and within minutes you're up and running and whenever you're looking for a particular goal completion or other detail, you can drill down to it and gain useful insights. Easy, to the point, constantly updated.

Not much not to like. Everything works well. Overtime any kink gets resolved, so it's pretty smooth so far.

We are moving from an existing application to a new one build from scratch. But we have poor understanding how the current one is being used. It has been developed by a third party, without documentation. And the roles under which the users are using it is diverse. With Hockeystack we should be able to get more insight in how the user goes through the application.

It's easy to install. It adds incredible value overall. It's fast. It's non-obtrusive. It's spot on, on what we need.

The name Hockeystack is broken. Happily the software is not. I know it's a pun, but even then they could have thought beyond the pun and come up with something even more clever. The look and feel in the UI looks as amateur and minimalist. I assume this as being done on purpose. However, this might come across as not complete or buggy. It's all about perception, I know. But how something looks definitely influences how you feel about it too.

Great, provides an easy way to understand website visitors

The User journey tracking data is awesome. You can see the steps each visitor takes on your site without needing to set up each action manually like you would for Google Analytics.

There’s some limitations for what you can set as a goal. For example, as of this review, you’re unable to set a URL click as a goal. You can only track URL clicks based on anchor text or CSS selector, which isn’t the most useful for people in affiliate marketing.

Hockeystack is an early stage analytics platform that gives us actionable data which we can send to clients (we’re a web development agency). It’s early, but that’s a benefit as we have a direct say in how this platform grows into the future.

It’s early stage and raw. So there are things that aren’t aesthetically pleasing, but all of the functionality works well!

I like the simplicity of being able to log and see my site KPIs daily.

Installation was simple. Copy and paste the code into my theme and I could immediately see data in the system.

I am still trying to understand how to best utilize the data. I can see the potential, but I am having a hard time deciding which data to track.

I love this software coz it allows me to track the activities of the visitors who visit my websites. I am also using HockeyStack for my clients to help them to get a better understanding of what their website visitors look for and/or doing on their websites. I have migrated all my websites from Google Analytics to HockeyStack due to its ease of implementation and use!

The software is still very new and therefore, it does not have all the deep analytics and features of Google Analytics. However, it is progressing in the right direction in terms of balancing between ease of implementation+usage versus the complexities that one gets with Google Analytics.

HockeyStack is equipping me with the tools to run a more profitable website. That is something I hold in high regard.

Before HockeyStack, I was guessing at what worked. Any legitimate marketer will tell you that this is not an effective strategy. Linking HockeyStack with my website was incredibly easy (I have a WordPress site). Now, I can see my website's sessions, users, pageviews, bounce rates, etc. all in one simple dashboard.

I have no complaints about HockeyStack. Perhaps I will realize some possible improvements as I use it more. For now, I wish I had purchased this software sooner.

This product is easy to setup. It is not at all difficult to setup. I love that I don't have to worry about it messing up my site or causing any issues with my site. I like the fact that I can see exactly where my traffic is coming from. For example, I would like to see what specific pages and site are driving traffic. I like the product very much.

Hockeystack allowed me to track my visitors and see which pages they liked. This is very helpful because I can see which pages, I need to write more content for, or which pages are not worth putting any more effort into.

No propose action by the system to improve the website

We use Hockeystack in our agency to pull in additional information for our clients and to also be able to present some of the data in an understandable & visual way.

Getting started with the product is very easy, and it doesn't require much additional configuration for each site. We found it very intuitive and quick compared to the Google Tag Manager event setup.

Still limited in its functionality, there isn't a lot of different data to pull (I know the team is working on this though).

This tool is super easy to use and intuitive. It helps measure my site performance without impacting the load time or installing any additional software. Just a single code line to add. The dashboard and the funnel are pretty useful for the analytics, too.

I'm still waiting to access the Insights tool to see what it offers. I have yet to find a way to reset the stats when I need to.
