Great tool to rev up your digital marketing strategy with

Pros

Well thought out and integrated approach to online marketing. Includes tools for creating content, monitoring website traffic, running outbound campaigns. Hits upon all major aspects of digital marketing

Cons

Could add some additional features for SEO, unless I missed that functionality in the tool. Also arguably one could cobble together similar functionality using a mix of tools. So what is included is no rocket science.

Ease-of-use

Gmail integration needs improvement.
When I click to send an email, sometimes it doesn't send and I have to click the send button again.

Pros

Free for small companies. This is the best attribute. It allows a small company to really get acquainted with the software, implement it and then expand to the paid version.

Cons

Layout is a little out dated.
You can't change the default on the list of company names from recently added to alphabetical.
You can change the sort, but the next time you sign in or refresh, it goes back to sorting by recently added.

Phenomenal experience with the platform and the staff!

HubSpot's marketing platform is very robust and contains everything an inbound marketer needs. Every time I speak with their support team, they are friendly and quickly resolve my issue. Since HubSpot is a pay-per-contact platform, the cost can easily increase if your organization is rapidly growing or doesn't keep a clean list of contacts. If your company currently uses a WordPress blog, integrating it with HubSpot is easy, but may result in having to create 301 redirects if the templates don't match up exactly. I recommend, if possible, converting the entire website (including the blog) to HubSpot.

Pros

Aside from the ease of use, the product is continually evolving to meet the needs of current marketing trends. HubSpot requests user feedback on a variety of aspects - from design to feature functionality - to make their product the best. It also integrates well with a variety of other platforms, including WordPress and Salesforce.

Cons

Creating a robust form (that includes more than one email or formatting a multi-check section) is cumbersome, and, in some cases, not possible. If you have more than one HubSpot account, all of the premium features are per user per account, which isn't ideal.

Pros

The on-boarding for this product is great. Although there is a ton of features to sift through, the abundance of helping hints, training videos and online resources helped get me up to speed very quickly and integrate this into my day to day marketing tasks.

Cons

Sometimes I found myself wishing the interface was slightly more customizable. Although many of the tools were invaluable to my company, there were also sections that I never touched and the tips or shoutouts often got in the way. Would be great to turn off annoying tools that I never plan on using.

Hubspot is a winner.

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Product Quality

Customer Support

Value for Money

Pros

Hubspot, with a little trial and error, is an easy platform to master - especially if you utilize all the functions...which you should!

Cons

The interface changes a few times a year, so it is a bit clunky to navigate after an upgrade. Typically the upgrades are totally worth it, but an 'update video' would be a nice touch so it is a) not a surprise and b) easier to navigate after watching the update.

Powerful marketing automation platform - best on the market for SMB's

Ease-of-use

Customer Support

Value for Money

Pros

Good UI, extensive library of support materials in the Academy. Great features and functionality designed around the needs of modern marketeers. Comprehensive reporting enables clearer attribution of marketing to closed new business to prove ROI. I like the landing page builder and the ease of assigning sources to different campaigns. Dashboards are great for at a glance metrics.

Cons

Implementation was a little too light touch, expected more support from a strategic perspective. Double opt-in feature does not quite work yet. Does not support multiple Salesforce pipelines although due to be fixed later this year. Social tool does not have the ability to repeat posts.

Highly recommend if you're starting from scratch and don't have expectations for how to run email marketing campaigns. They give you all the tools you need to succeed. However, if you have something specific in mind, you may not be able execute on a process that doesn't align with "The Hubspot Way".

Pros

Very easy to get started. Significantly easier to use than Marketo, but still has a learning curve. They emphasize learning how to do inbound marketing "their" way, which is very good for SMBs looking to break into generating inbound leads. Their 90 day onboarding coach process is incredible - we've learned so much about inbound, blogging, webinars, and general email marketing automation. They train both for best practices AND for how to do the technical set up, which is nice.

Cons

While this is expensive, this contains everything a company needs to do inbound well. However, if you need more flexibility and already have something in mind for how to generate leads and use email marketing, then you may need to opt for a Marketo. For example, they only offer 2 unsubscribe options: "unsubscribe from all" and "manage preferences". They do not offer a "unsubscribe from THIS TYPE of email". They also do not let you integrate the subscription preferences page with a user's profile on the main website, and do not have a flexible way to manage re-subscribes via API.

If you have a team for internet marketing and are looking for a comprehensive platform, Hubspot is a great solution. If you just beginning or intermediate level of marketing and a small company, it's not the best ROI till you are ready for it.

Pros

It can do just about everything you or your team need to accomplish. It has great flexibility and covers most areas of a complete marketing department. The support is great and willingly given. Good automation.

Cons

Requires an extensive training ramp. It is almost like high-level programming to use the flexibility. Its capability is not for the small marketing department.

I'm still getting to know the software and know there are beneficial features I'm not yet taking advantage of-I'm excited to get more proficient.

Pros

Customer support is stellar. You can get someone on the phone very quickly and most are able to resolve your problem or question right away. Online training videos are very helpful. Interesting reporting statistics are available.

Cons

Switching from Eloqua, there are some features I took for granted and viewed as more basic that aren't in Hubspot. I don't love working in templates and having to edit the template in order to change the email versus just making a change on the fly and wish you could create a workflow for specific dates.

Value for Money

Pros

Hubspot succeeds as a platform for companies with fewer territories, product lines, or audiences. Ease of use is clearly their main driver and is best suited for a company without dedicated staff for marketing operations or automation. Uniquely designed tools with a great user interface.

Cons

Hubspot is limited and won't match up well at all with enterprise level automation software. Workflows are clunky, and an experienced marketing automation manager will not be satisfied with Hubspot's suite of tools for processing data. All major data manipulations will need to happen in your CRM, which can be a challenge for many organizations.

Beware of the hard sell. They use lock in contracts to keep you paying even when the system is clearly not working for you.

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Customer Support

Value for Money

Hubspot is way over priced and the complexity of the system makes it hard to fully understand what you are buying into until you are bound by a lock-in contract. My advice is to thoroughly do your research as there are much much better and more economical solutions out there. Do not believe the hype from the sales team.

Pros

The CRM is free, but the rest of the system is overpriced and a waste of money. The tool is much more of a marketing course than it is a useful tool and you can get this information easily online without paying every year. Do not believe the hype!
The marketing course info is also very shallow and way to sales-y for most businesses.

Cons

The system has lock in contracts that are there to force you into paying and selling to the system to your customers and for me, I liked my customers' way too much to force them into lock in contracts. Lock in contracts are only used when companies struggle to demonstrate value over the long term.
The system did not work for us as it was way to salse-y for our clients base and despite numerous attempts to communicate with Hubspot about this they just shut it down.

Where even begin? Whether you're looking for a basic CRM, Sales tool, or Marketing software -- HubSpot's got you. I work in a company that uses both HubSpot Sales and HubSpot Marketing and needless to say the integration is seamless and used by all members of our team. As an inbound marketing agency, we've used HubSpot's marketing automation tool to grow one of our client's business by 600% in just 6 months. If used correctly, it can take your business to a whole new level. Oh, and the service is incredible.

Cons

As good as Hubspot is in implementing your website, there is only one valid point I'd make in terms of dislking the software, and that is not having a support member working with you (as part of the initial cost). The Hubspot Support system is very good, as there are solutions handled by the team, instantly via telephone or within 24 hours via email - however, a one-to-one with a Hubspot rep would be ideally better as they'd have a complete understanding of what you'd like to achieve.

I like that it's fairly straightforward and easy to use, it provides clear data on how our marketing assets and different campaigns are working together, and it gives us complete control of our websites. I previously used another marketing automation software and HubSpot is much easier to implement and use.

Cons

Some features aren't as built out as they need to be in order to be fully functional. Lead Rotation is an example of this. You can host multiple domains on HubSpot, but separate domain analytics aren't that clear either, it can get confusing.

The articles and blogs provide. They're so easy to find on google and knowing it's not a novel makes it more efficient. Before I was stressed considering that it would take me a lot of time to teach myself more, but doing it more regularly gives me a better sense of how communication is evolving.

Cons

There's not a substantial connection to social media as I wish there were. My company uses facebook quite a bit, so it would be helpful to have more access to the combination of social media through HubSpot. We are running into the problem of having too many different platforms, but we like all of the sources that HubSpot provides. Naturally having it in one place would be the most helpful.

With a range of services provided by one marketing software, it is hard to know where to begin. In my honest opinion the most applicable and useful feature is the online web analytics. When compared to the same service provided by Google, they are on the same level. Hubspot simply provides real time analytics based on online browsing, and content realization. The analytical reports can be customized and this would work incredibly in various business aspects.

Cons

With this software, marketing is at the edge of the finger tips, but there is a downfall to this as a user the filtering is a bit of an issue when trying to sort through the information. If this can be improved on then they will have a software which is rival to any other currently on the market.

1. There is a free version of the software that is not for a limited time (typically 14 days), this allows you to test or use the software with limited functionality indefinitely.

2. Integrating into outlook is easy and emails are automatically tracked.

3. There are notifications on any device I choose to use: Currently, I get a push notification to my desktop and to my phone, this allows me to see when people read or view my emails at all times, but if this gets annoying... (read point 4)

4. Notifications can be muted for specific conversations: If I send an email to 50 people, I don't need to see everytime someone opens the email, specific threads can be muted.

5. The invisible image pixel that loads is not visible: some software requires that you have a footer that states that the email is being tracked, this defeats half of the purpose I am using the email program - *detection free tracking

Cons

Again, this is relating primarily to the email tracking feature, which is integrated with outlook:

1. It can be difficult to find if a specific email was read within outlook (I used to use other software that would show if the email was read when I clicked on the sent email within outlook)

2. There is a limit to the free versions functionality, which isn't really a con but rather an area I like least.

I love knowing when and if my email is ever opened.

Pros

So far it has great marketing automation tools . I can see when my emails have been opened by prospects. It has been easy to use and learn. everything is on one page.

Cons

Some of the data did not migrate or upload over so I have had to go back and manually enter data

Pros

I like using hubspot to be able to track my emails and see who has opened them. It is a useful feature that I can use when trying to reach prospects.

Cons

I don't like that the free version now only gives you 200 views a month. I send a lot of email and I run out pretty quickly. The lowest tier is 50 a month, and that's all I use it for so it's not worth the money.

Pros

The ability to create a work flow that of automated communication. Many people can track and utilize the software. It provides one spot to look for all your people data.

Cons

The learning curve. Hubspot notifies via email in a nutshell but then you have to go back to hubspot, which a times feels redundant.
