Overall its very positive, great tool for marketers. Lots of supporting material to train yourself at making the most of the system too.

    Pros

The most valuable thing is probably the fact that it combines a huge array of tools under one umbrella. And they keep adding new features. Live chat was the latest great addition, it can basically be switched on with couple of clips, not extra development time required.

    Cons

The fact that it tracks the users with Cookies, which means same user coming to our website twice from different locations will not cause data problems. Equally 2 different users using same computer, have same issue.

    Pros

The automated workflows are easy to set up, and there's a huge variety of options that you can figure out with them. They work exactly as intended when set up, and keep going

You can also request to use a free demo if you're still on the fence

    Cons

Getting all of your workflows to be seamless and work in tandem with each other can be slightly buggy or a pain. It takes some working around to ensure all are working correctly

An integrated approach to deploy marketing materials and analyze performance

    Ease-of-use
    Functionality
    Quality
    Support
    N/A
    Pros

    - the integration of every marketing platform. Blogs, email, landing pages, workflows and more can easily
be created - and integrated - for an easy to use, all in one marketing portal.

    - Primarily, my company uses HubSpot to quickly build and publish blog posts. With the built-in social
media tool, you can easily share the blog post to your audiences. Then, you can re-purpose the content
you already created for an email campaign.

    - the landing page builder. With this, you can create beautiful landing pages that make it easy for customers
to convert to a sale, or marketing qualified lead.

    - the analytics tool. You can see the performance of every marketing element in one detailed dashboard.
This helps you see what's working - and what's not.

    Cons

From a social tool standpoint, I wish publishing across platforms was more consistent, often images and text sizing is a bit off in the actual social site. I also wish they would increase monitoring from just Twitter to both LinkedIn and Facebook.

Design limitations have been a slight issue for us in the past as well, but usually we can work around these and design items in house

    Pros

The best thing about HubSpot is that you don't need to be a developer to implement the tools. I'm a marketer with limited tech background and was easily able to execute for my business.

    Cons

What I wanted was ONE program to manage all the things, and HubSpot does that. However, it's a big expense for a small business... definitely more expensive than all the separate programs I was using when you combine them. But it's more effective than piecing these things together on my own.

The right marketing automation suite for startups

    Ease-of-use
    Functionality

    Value for Money

As a marketer at a lean startup, I loved my experience with Hubspot the product and Hubspot the company. It allowed me to get marketing automation going in our company without learning complex software or hiring implementation specialists. We might have to consider one of those other more-complex solutions someday, but that'll be a nice problem to have... and the switching costs will be worth the time we saved getting ramped up with our first marketing automation solution.

    Pros

As a marketer at a lean startup, we don't have the resources to have a dedicated marketing automation specialist on staff. We don't have the bandwidth to learn the intricacies of complex marketing automation tools.

Hubspot is *perfect* for startups, as (1) it's got everything you need, and nothing you don't, (2) is very easy to learn and use, thanks in part to the design, and (3) the customer support resources are very, very good. No need to hire any external consultants to help you get set up.

Between the extensive help resources, easy-to-learn design, and exceptional customer support resources, it's easy to get up-and-running with Hubspot. And that's what every lean startup wants and needs to do: keep running!

    Cons

Hubspot is perfect for lean startups, but--in spite of what they'll tell you--it won't necessarily grow with you if you're lucky(?) enough to evolve into a large organization with complex marketing needs.

Here's a specific example: The premium version of Hubspot includes mutli-touch attribution, but it's limited in the number of touches it'll track. If you're in B2B marketing, you're familiar with customer journeys that take 7-9 or more touches before a lead converts. If you're using Hubspot, you don't get that level of insights.

Handles every marketing function - email marketing, content, blog, landing pages, analytics etc. Their analytics are pretty detailed.

    Cons

Doesn't do anything well. Forgot to add security certificate to our landing pages for a couple of months. Managing content schedule is such a headache. Also the recent hubspot outage crippled us. Also, too darn expensive!!

It’s a good product that makes the world of marketing automation easier for the “do it all” people with a lot of job roles.

    Pros

As someone brand new to the social media world it was really easy to use! I liked the way it organized my platforms and postings and made it easy to show my team the social media plan

    Cons

It was a little difficult to explain to someone who had little experience in the social media world

We implemented HubSpot to replace the use of 5 different systems for marketing. Using multiple systems caused issues between them, and most importantly between the tracking. The amount of upkeep they required was huge compared to HubSpot. I hit a few snags along the way when implementing it, but thankfully I was able to find solutions for most of my issues and workarounds for the rest. I do recommend this software to small and medium businesses that are just starting with Marketing Automation, but not for advanced users and companies that need high levels of customization

    Pros

It's really easy to use, easy to set up and features a lot of great built-in features. It gives companies some amazing tracking features that can benefit both the marketing and the sales team. And everything you need regarding marketing is in one place. Social media, emails, website, blog, SEO, Analytics, etc.
We haven't used the Sales part of it much, but it has some great features too. It provides a lot of transparency to the sales person having to deal with a certain client. Even before the sales person calls, they already have so much information on the client, that can be the difference between closing a deal or not. They are also updating the system constantly with new tools and features.

    Cons

The biggest downside for me is the lack of advanced features and customization. We use Salesforce as our main CRM which offers an unthinkable amount of customization with its own programming language and everything. HubSpot unfortunately does not work this way. It provides a lot of tools that are built-in and are the way they are, with little to no customization. This is one of the biggest problems I have with the system still.

Overall, we use Hubspot to create landing pages without needing the help of a developer, and to create automatic emails workflows (for example, the onboarding automatic emails that are sent to new users to help them know the app, its features and our company itself). As a sidenote, we are also using the free version of Hubspot CRM to manage our database of influencers and keep track of our exchanges with them.

    Pros

Hubspot Marketing Hub offers a series of tools that almost any digital business need, and they're integrated between themselves offering even more features and analytics. Once your developer has it implemented into your website, you won't need her again for the most common marketing tasks. This alone is one of the major benefits of Hubspot, because in your day-to-day operations you want to have as few bottlenecks as possible.

    Cons

While the integrations between tools are awesome, I feel that they alone could be better. One example for this is the landing page creator, which really needs a revamp to be fully flexible. On the other hand, Hubspot can be pricey: I'm pretty sure that you can have much cheaper options if you use a competitor's tool for every tool that Hubspot has (but you'll lose the integrations between them)
