The tool just needs to tie the company, Contacts, Deals and Content records together better in the near future and it would make a lot of Company's lives easier.

Pros

This tool is great for inbound marketing where you are attracting people in from your content on your website. It's also nice to see through the Customer lifecycle stage field on where the customer is within the buyers journey.

Cons

The campaign tool needs a lot of updating. It's only meant for inbound campaigns and it's hard to send out campaigns to specific people. The reporting for campaigns only show you a deals that are closed as won if the contact was influenced by that campaign and associated to the Deal but you can't report out on Deals that are open which is a huge challenge for our company. Support told us to put many custom fields and have a manual process which won't work for our company and then they said to trial the report ad on tool which did nothing as it was just additional dashboards and not any new functionality gained within the report ad on. Their other reports offered are all around the sources and views. Getting a report on how many clicks and views on certain content doesn't help us make decisions unless we know what deals were started from that content and the revenue associated.

I have used CRM systems for years and all of them were horrible. HubSpot allowed me to build a system around my needs. In around 4 hours I built a system that destroys the system I used at a billion dollar company.

Pros

Highly Customizable to meet your needs.

Many tasks can be automated tasks via Zapier.

G Suite Integration

Cons

The mobile app leaves much to be desired.
Upgrading from the free version is very expensive for small businesses.

Pros

Having all the necessary data and metrics in one place is amazing, to say the least! Our company lives in HubSpot. As a content marketer, I love that I am able to produce, format, schedule, my blog posts in one central location. The social media tools are on par with most social media management tools out there. I appreciate that HubSpot continues to update their CRM frequently to keep up with other competitors. They are consistently incorporating new tools and functionality. It's extremely versatile!

Cons

One of the more frustrating parts about the HubSpot CRM is that I've found it to take some time to report out on data. That is really the only "issue" I have experienced, needless to say, their support team has been extremely helpful in addressing the issue.

I was not expecting to have something from one source that is so comprehensive and well thought out.

Pros

The software combined with the training (which is priceless) far exceeded my expectations. I was not expecting such a high level of customer support that is personalized. It not only helps you use the product, having people you see again motivates you to get everything done so that you can move to the next stage in your development online.

Cons

There's so much here it takes someone to point out what's available. You need the close at hand support because if you didn't have it, you would miss out on so many of the features and capabilities.

We love the data made available by Hubspot Marketing

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Customer Support

Value for Money

Pros

Our favorite part of Hubspot Marketing is the data that is made available on lead source, web traffic, and blog and email marketing performance. Prior to Hubspot we were not running any website analytics. By tying marketing efforts to website performance we are able to see what is working and what isn't and make better decisions going forward.

Cons

The cost was big concern for us initially. As a small company that had never used a program like this before we weren't sure this would be worth the investment.

Overall very satisfied with this product, definitely easier to use than many, and incorporates some of the newer advancements in marketing technology.

Pros

Good general functionality for tracking activity and reporting, and nice to have automatic download of company contact information when entering new contacts. Campaigns are fairly easy to set up.

Cons

The filtering process is a bit manual, could be configured a little more user friendly. Also have found that there is no direct links in the reports, and have to exit to a separate screen to view details.

Overall Hubspot is great. It just works flawlessly and gives me the Marketing metrics I need.

Pros

It's easy to use and intuitive. Everything just makes sense. The best part is the analytics, tracking, and reporting. Help and support is great too.

Cons

I have only found 2 things - if you send an email and use the Smart Send feature to accommodate for different time zones, then it disables the ability to "Send to More". Second: at first, there are what feels like a lot of pieces to fit together - a form, campaign, landing page, emails, etc. Until you get that mapped out, it felt a little overwhelming.

Great tool to rev up your digital marketing strategy with

Pros

Well thought out and integrated approach to online marketing. Includes tools for creating content, monitoring website traffic, running outbound campaigns. Hits upon all major aspects of digital marketing

Cons

Could add some additional features for SEO, unless I missed that functionality in the tool. Also arguably one could cobble together similar functionality using a mix of tools. So what is included is no rocket science.

Gmail integration needs improvement.
When I click to send an email, sometimes it doesn't send and I have to click the send button again.

Pros

Free for small companies. This is the best attribute. It allows a small company to really get acquainted with the software, implement it and then expand to the paid version.

Cons

Layout is a little out dated.
You can't change the default on the list of company names from recently added to alphabetical.
You can change the sort, but the next time you sign in or refresh, it goes back to sorting by recently added.

Phenomenal experience with the platform and the staff!

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Customer Support

Value for Money

HubSpot's marketing platform is very robust and contains everything an inbound marketer needs. Every time I speak with their support team, they are friendly and quickly resolve my issue. Since HubSpot is a pay-per-contact platform, the cost can easily increase if your organization is rapidly growing or doesn't keep a clean list of contacts. If your company currently uses a WordPress blog, integrating it with HubSpot is easy, but may result in having to create 301 redirects if the templates don't match up exactly. I recommend, if possible, converting the entire website (including the blog) to HubSpot.

Pros

Aside from the ease of use, the product is continually evolving to meet the needs of current marketing trends. HubSpot requests user feedback on a variety of aspects - from design to feature functionality - to make their product the best. It also integrates well with a variety of other platforms, including WordPress and Salesforce.

Cons

Creating a robust form (that includes more than one email or formatting a multi-check section) is cumbersome, and, in some cases, not possible. If you have more than one HubSpot account, all of the premium features are per user per account, which isn't ideal.

Pros

The on-boarding for this product is great. Although there is a ton of features to sift through, the abundance of helping hints, training videos and online resources helped get me up to speed very quickly and integrate this into my day to day marketing tasks.

Cons

Sometimes I found myself wishing the interface was slightly more customizable. Although many of the tools were invaluable to my company, there were also sections that I never touched and the tips or shoutouts often got in the way. Would be great to turn off annoying tools that I never plan on using.

Pros

Hubspot, with a little trial and error, is an easy platform to master - especially if you utilize all the functions...which you should!

Cons

The interface changes a few times a year, so it is a bit clunky to navigate after an upgrade. Typically the upgrades are totally worth it, but an 'update video' would be a nice touch so it is a) not a surprise and b) easier to navigate after watching the update.

Pros

Good UI, extensive library of support materials in the Academy. Great features and functionality designed around the needs of modern marketeers. Comprehensive reporting enables clearer attribution of marketing to closed new business to prove ROI. I like the landing page builder and the ease of assigning sources to different campaigns. Dashboards are great for at a glance metrics.

Cons

Highly recommend if you're starting from scratch and don't have expectations for how to run email marketing campaigns. They give you all the tools you need to succeed. However, if you have something specific in mind, you may not be able execute on a process that doesn't align with "The Hubspot Way".

Pros

Very easy to get started. Significantly easier to use than Marketo, but still has a learning curve. They emphasize learning how to do inbound marketing "their" way, which is very good for SMBs looking to break into generating inbound leads. Their 90 day onboarding coach process is incredible - we've learned so much about inbound, blogging, webinars, and general email marketing automation. They train both for best practices AND for how to do the technical set up, which is nice.

Cons

While this is expensive, this contains everything a company needs to do inbound well. However, if you need more flexibility and already have something in mind for how to generate leads and use email marketing, then you may need to opt for a Marketo. For example, they only offer 2 unsubscribe options: "unsubscribe from all" and "manage preferences". They do not offer a "unsubscribe from THIS TYPE of email". They also do not let you integrate the subscription preferences page with a user's profile on the main website, and do not have a flexible way to manage re-subscribes via API.

If you have a team for internet marketing and are looking for a comprehensive platform, Hubspot is a great solution. If you just beginning or intermediate level of marketing and a small company, it's not the best ROI till you are ready for it.

Cons

Requires an extensive training ramp. It is almost like high-level programming to use the flexibility. Its capability is not for the small marketing department.

Cons

Switching from Eloqua, there are some features I took for granted and viewed as more basic that aren't in Hubspot. I don't love working in templates and having to edit the template in order to change the email versus just making a change on the fly and wish you could create a workflow for specific dates.

Knowledge and Insight. Knowlege is power and having insight into all activities your marketing, sales and business development team implement is extremely powerful in knowing where to tweak things and where you excel.

Shooting blindly from the hip on massive marketing campaigns is extremely expensive and rarely effective for increasing your ROI.

But with the knowledge and insight, the HubSpot MAP provides you, you always know what you're doing, why you're doing it, the ROI of your campaigns and where you are lacking.

Not having to rely on the complexity of Google Analytics or manual entry of Excel is a huge time and money saver. You also don't have to have a million different tools, software and extensions to try to piece together your marketing strategy, analytics and results. This eliminates about 90% of all the tools you are paying for and using and brings it all into one single platform. Not to mention that it's merely impossible to get all the third-party tools and integrations to talk to each other to give you one bottom line result.

With the HubSpot MAP's benefit of cutting hours and labor basically pays for the cost of the software itself.

Knowledge is power and time is money.

Pros

Obviously, as it's stated in its name, but the Automation part of the platform. The workflows, lists, how a published blog with automatically distribute your blog via your social media accounts, the analytics of how well your strategy, content, and workflows are working, etc. are all exceptional qualities to the HubSpot MAP.

The abundance of features and abilities available to a user is endless and always being updated, upgraded or enhanced.

I love how the HubSpot MAP is 100% synced with the HubSpot CRM and CMS. In fact, since they are open to third-party integrations, you can enhance any or all of the features given to you all throughout the HubSpot system.

Cons

From experience in teaching the software to our clients, it can be an overwhelming learning curve. Especially for the CEOs and people in non-related marketing departments that have to learn to use the system as well, since it is meant to effect a company as a whole, obviously in a positive way.

As stated above, HubSpot MAP is open to third-party integrations to better your user experience and insights into your marketing performance. The only downside to that is the budget. If you're a startup company, purchasing the HubSpot MAP and platform is expensive by itself. And when you add on purchasing other third-party integrations to get all the features you want, can be extremely costly or just over-budget in general.

The other feature I would like to see HubSpot improve is their Social Media Platform, included in the HubSpot MAP. Yes, you can schedule tweets in bulk or a month's worth of social media posts for the next month, but in reality, it is very time-consuming. Especially for a feature that is meant to cut the manual labor out of your day.

One reason for this is because you have to create a customized shortened tracking URL, located in a different area of the platform, to place into each social media message. That means a separate URL for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & Google+, all for the same message. Now imagine having to do that for social media posts for the next week. It does get exhausting. That is one area you would want to get a third-party integration.

Pros

It´s a perfect all in one tool, you have complete visibility of all of your marketing efforts and its pretty easy to use. Besides it has lots of resources to make the best out of your marketing campaigns. Their certifications, tutorials and blog posts are always clear and useful. Im a big Hubspot fan.

Cons

This is hard to tell, as I really like all about it. Maybe the customization of the templates, if you want to change your templates you can't do it on your own, you have to pay for them to change them. Pros

I am originally someone who has championed Marketo (and still do), but I have to say that the folks at HubSpot really thought through how to make the email marketing and segmentation process easier. While there is not as much customization, the platform focuses on what you expect it to do (eg. Marketo requires you to create a Smart List or look at Program Membership to see a list of people who clicked, while HubSpot has all of that information prepared in an easy-to-navigate dashboard after any email send). I'm also impressed with how easy their Smart List feature is to use. Very easy-to-use platform and a good choice for small businesses and enterprises alike as I've used it for both!

Cons

Because it is a platform, the migration process is not always very precise for the websites. It can add little pieces of code. They often do updates and do not inform about it and may cause problems. The SEO modules of this software are basic and only assistive. Functionality does not include many instruments, and the data lacks depth. The price for the whole platform is very high, and you can not reduce costs by paying only for the modules you need.

There really aren't too many cons. I like the software overall. If t could be upgraded, it would be pretty cool if it integrated with your phone contacts automatically like Outlook does.

Marketing automation, social media insights, and publishing as well as basic landing page creation.

Pros

The product features are fantastic. It is 100% scalable and is intuitive to a fault. I would be comfortable launching and enterprise on HubSpot as well as a small business.

Cons

The price point is definitely the biggest drawback. Since HubSpot is modular, you end up paying forever feature. The customer service is fine but they are always seemingly trying to get you to buy more and do more with them. It can come across as insensitive to your business needs.

This software is like having a marketing team working 24/7. In this digital age, having one centralized system like Hubspot to manage all of our campaigns is exactly what we were looking for to streamline our work.

Pros

The pros of HubSpot marketing automation are managing all campaigns to consolidate and oversee everything inside the module. For many years, I had to manage our marketing using different tools. At first it's manageable but as you begin adding more marketing tools it becomes a nightmare. Hubspot tethers everything into one account.

Cons

No cons to report at this time. Perhaps some users struggle getting their marketing campaigns into Hubspot. But they have excellent help documentation which walks you through the process step-by-step.

It helped track visitors on my website and their activity before they filled a form on my blog.

Pros

I use Hubspot Marketing Free formerly called leadin on a personal blog. Initially, I had installed the leadin WordPress plugin to use as an opt-in form especially the slide-in box and the drop-down banner. I "deactivated" the forms because I didn't like the "not using lead-in yet, signup now" that showed underneath my form, it's kind of like powered by Hubspot, either way, it took visitors away from my blog something I wasn't very happy with. However Lead-in has a really amazing feature, It tracks all non-HubSpot form submissions. I have Gravity forms on my blog and Ninja form on one of the websites I manage.
Hubspot marketing (Leadin) tracks all form submissions so I know what pages they visited prior to filling the form, I know how they got to my blog, what pages they landed on first etc. even better the entry is automatically sent to Hubspot CRM as a contact.

Hubspot Marketing has just introduced Facebook and Instagram Ads that open into a form, I'm yet to try them but it sounds interesting.

Cons

Data from non HubSpot form submissions is only available for 15 days. That's frustrating. the contacts would still be in the CRM but information such as what form they filled, what pages they visited etc, disappears.

Pros

HubSpot Marketing is extremely well made. It is the industry-standard for features, connectivity (with other platforms) and performance.

Cons

Where HubSpot will suit any needs of a big organization in my opinion it still lacks something like isolated accounts so departments can work independantly.

It basically helped save our business by providing a stream of leads and marketing presence. We have a Webmaster and she was able to get up to speed on it in a few short weeks.

Pros

We were introduced to Hubspot in 2011 by the support staff and he undersold it as a good way for non-techie people to build a website. It turned out to be the best marketing tool in the history of the world. Hubspot support is beyond great, words cannot describe how much we love Hubspot!
