Amazing and feature-rich

iContact is great in terms of features, customer support, and ease of use. If you can afford it, go for it. It will eventually pay off.

Pros

I have been using iContact for over 3 years now and never had any major issues with them. Email marketing gets a whole lot easier with iContact's features and amazing tools.

The best thing about iContact is the ease of use. You can get started without any training. They have kept things simple, user-friendly, and their interface is top-notch.

Drag-and-drop builder is another reason why its hard to switch to other email marketing services. I have tried drag-and-drop email builders of other email marketing services as well (GetResponse, MailChimpl, Mailerlite, etc.) but I personally find iContact the best in the game.

Subscriber management and ability to segment subscribers based on multiple variables is another advantage that has always helped me in understanding my subscribers and sending them relevant emails.

Cons

My only concern is price. It is expensive as compared to other email marketing services. Additionally, they don't have any free plan. Most of their competitors have like MailChimp and mailerlite.

Excellent product for Email Marketing

Pros

Templates are available to use, so you don't have to be an advanced tech to use this software. There are different tiered plans, so it can fit the budget of all businesses and nonprofits. Also, nonprofits receive a discount.

Cons

There is no free version. Although you can sign up for a free trial, once the trial is over you must select a paid plan to continue using iContact.

Great for keeping in touch with our customers...

We started with iContact about 7 years ago...when our list was 20,000 people strong. We've changed business models and our list is under 5,000 people now, but we've stuck with iContact because they've kept up with the times and made their product better along the way. Easy to jump into and build your marketing list if you know what you're doing - but iContact is there to help you each step of the way if you're a newbie.

Pros

iContact has made great improvements over the years. They did a big makeover about a year ago which was much needed - no complaints here. We manage our own list (which used to be nearly 20,000 strong) and a few small lists for our advertising clients - with great ease.

Cons

No complaints here, but there would have been before they did a big makeover a year ago. Their customer service was lacking - but now they've cleaned that up as well. They heard customer complaints and fixed them - that's Okay in my book!

No Value for Money.

Initially during the on-boarding process, they boasted a lot about the features and no suspensions, but once we paid and on-boarded the struggle started. We tried to import contacts and getting ready to send an email, we received an alert in the interface that the account is not active. This was immediately after we payment done for the quarter. On contacting the support, they did not give us a chance to explain their questions and told that they are suspending the account for a month. They did not even bother to respond to our emails on refund requests.

Pros

The interface and design templates are good.
Faster and user friendlier design of the application.

Cons

There are not much features available on this tool. The contacts upload tool was not even identifying the duplicates and appending them as new records(this might be fixed as of now)

An ideal email marketing software that lets you create newsletters easily with its easy to use application. Manage your contacts by creating lists with contacts that match your campaign. What i like about icontact is that aside from uploading or grag and drop option for adding contacts is that it has a sign up form feature thatyou can embed in your website. When a customer signs up the information goes straight to your contact list. Create your email content easily with its content creator tool with thousands of themes or designs to choose from. Add links, images and texts to the content with its drag and drop tool feature and create designs that match your campaign perfectly.

Cons

The csv file should be compatible to add contacts. It is easier to add one by one or download their file and add your contacts for an easier upload. If you have existing excel files with thousands of contacts, it may not work. Fixing your contacts file might take longer especially if you have thousands of subscribers.
