Great for Email Marketing

Pros

I really like the templates and how easy it is to use this platform. The cost is minimal and you can integrate with so many other platforms. Even with the new laws and restrictions with sending email, etc. this platform is ideal for bulk email usage.

Cons

I honestly cannot think of any cons. I have enjoyed using this product and will continue to do so as it meets my marketing needs.

Needs improvement

Pros

It helps you, in an agile and practical way, send mass emails to your customers, followers, employees

Cons

This is out of fashion, as a marketing strategy, it is useless, since usually, the mail is automatically saved in "junk mail". The client has preferred social networks. To be useful in the future, it could be for strictly internal purposes of any corporation, public or private, that has many employees. They could do, strategic alliance, with the big ones, suppliers, of messaging service, so that the emails sent, do not fall into "spam"

My contacts with iContact

iContact is a great solution for a US or American based company of medium size that needs to do email marketing. The steps to follow are simple, and templates and options provided are very helpful.

Pros

Reasonably simple to use which offers the best value for money solution for small to medium businesses. Sometimes less options are a blessing in disguise!
The release of sends can be laborious, and duplicates efforts unnecessary.

Cons

The support for international customers is difficult due to time constraints. When we have an urgent issue, and need assistance, the other half of the world is sleeping! By the time they send a solution, it's weekend for us.
The feed of information between SalesForce CRM and iContact isn't so great when updating contact information and segmenting lists.

iContact Email Marketing

Pros

What I like most about this email marketing program is the price and some of the templates were easy to use.

Cons

What I least like about this email marketing program was how difficult it was to code the templates. The preview did not show what was actually going to be sent. The fonts and text were also an issue and its time of sending.

Great Looking Form Templates and a Powerful Email Marketing Tool

Overall my experience with iContact was very positive. I even learned about iContacts young founder via an awesome slide show he created with 1285 slides sharing "lessons from my 20s"where he shared a ton of value. I highly recommend looking that up.

Pros

What I liked most about iContact are the form templates, which are an essential ingredient to growing a healthy email list.

Specifically I used a template for a client in the real estate niche that he was quite happy with.

Cons

What I like least about the tool is the price point. For my client who has a very small list the price was an issue for him and a robust free plan offering would have helped me retain my client for a longer period of time.

Easy to use

We needed an email marketing platform that could be used in our industry (natural supplements) and icontact allowed us to have an account with them. Other places do not want to bother with us. I do like that our rep is always there to help us with whatever problems that may arise.

Pros

I like the reporting of emails that I have sent out. I also like how easy it is to create an email and schedule or sent it out the email. I like that I am able to preview the email in different screen sizes. Very easy to use.

Cons

The new home dashboard I am not a fan of. It has changed to just show quick stats of a single email campaign. I like the way it was setup before. Where you could see the stats of multiple email campaigns at once. I also do not like the image upload portion. I feel you should be able to upload an image directly from the email editor.

Amazing and feature-rich

iContact is great in terms of features, customer support, and ease of use. If you can afford it, go for it. It will eventually pay off.

Pros

I have been using iContact for over 3 years now and never had any major issues with them. Email marketing gets a whole lot easier with iContact's features and amazing tools.

The best thing about iContact is the ease of use. You can get started without any training. They have kept things simple, user-friendly, and their interface is top-notch.

Drag-and-drop builder is another reason why its hard to switch to other email marketing services. I have tried drag-and-drop email builders of other email marketing services as well (GetResponse, MailChimpl, Mailerlite, etc.) but I personally find iContact the best in the game.

Subscriber management and ability to segment subscribers based on multiple variables is another advantage that has always helped me in understanding my subscribers and sending them relevant emails.

Cons

My only concern is price. It is expensive as compared to other email marketing services. Additionally, they don't have any free plan. Most of their competitors have like MailChimp and mailerlite.

Excellent product for Email Marketing

Pros

Templates are available to use, so you don't have to be an advanced tech to use this software. There are different tiered plans, so it can fit the budget of all businesses and nonprofits. Also, nonprofits receive a discount.

Cons

There is no free version. Although you can sign up for a free trial, once the trial is over you must select a paid plan to continue using iContact.

Great for keeping in touch with our customers...

We started with iContact about 7 years ago...when our list was 20,000 people strong. We've changed business models and our list is under 5,000 people now, but we've stuck with iContact because they've kept up with the times and made their product better along the way. Easy to jump into and build your marketing list if you know what you're doing - but iContact is there to help you each step of the way if you're a newbie.

Pros

iContact has made great improvements over the years. They did a big makeover about a year ago which was much needed - no complaints here. We manage our own list (which used to be nearly 20,000 strong) and a few small lists for our advertising clients - with great ease.

Cons

No complaints here, but there would have been before they did a big makeover a year ago. Their customer service was lacking - but now they've cleaned that up as well. They heard customer complaints and fixed them - that's Okay in my book!

No Value for Money.

Initially during the on-boarding process, they boasted a lot about the features and no suspensions, but once we paid and on-boarded the struggle started. We tried to import contacts and getting ready to send an email, we received an alert in the interface that the account is not active. This was immediately after we payment done for the quarter. On contacting the support, they did not give us a chance to explain their questions and told that they are suspending the account for a month. They did not even bother to respond to our emails on refund requests.

Pros

The interface and design templates are good.
Faster and user friendlier design of the application.

Cons

There are not much features available on this tool. The contacts upload tool was not even identifying the duplicates and appending them as new records(this might be fixed as of now)
