Textedly is a cloud-based SMS marketing tool for businesses of all sizes.

The system offers mass group texting, text scheduling and customizable auto replies. Users can send texts over 300 characters long. The system also offers a link-shrinking feature to minimize the number of characters taken up by hyperlinks.

Textedly automatically gathers city, state and zipcode information for each subscriber. Users can also access analytics such as subscriber timestamps, activity, user history and other performance metrics. Incoming messages are free, and there is no limit to the number of subscribers Textedly users may have.

Textedly is priced on a per-month subscription basis.

Good Texting Program, but Not Efficient

Pros

I like that I can schedule out my texts for the whole month, choosing the times and days with ease. It's an affordable solution for SMS Marketing.

Cons

My biggest complaint with Textedly is how long it takes to schedule. There are only 100 numbers per page and you can only choose one page as a time. So if I am sending 500 texts at noon today, I have to go to page one, choose ALL on that page, go to page two, choose ALL, etc... until I have my five pages/500 texts. BUT, if I want to send the same text to another 500 people at 2pm (so we're spacing texts and not overloading phones/websites) I have to go through pages 1 -5 first to get to the next set. When we have 10k+ texts, that can take a long time to schedule -- and it does.

Great Product!

Wonderful experience! Human Resources is utilizing Textedly to keep in communication with our employees. We have received positive feedback from our workforce

Easy to utilize from an administrative perspective. A fast and convenient way for our company to stay in communication with our employees.

Cons

I wish the email notifications that we have turned on to notify us that a message is in our Textedly inbox would include the subscribers full name - not just their cell phone number.

Overall I like Textedly. It's easy to use and if I ever have any questions customer service is always there to help.

Pros

I like the overall ease of use. Once they went over the initial introduction of the basics I found it easy to navigate.

Cons

I like to use my own graphics to grab more attention but doing this automatically counts as more messages being sent.

Interesting marketing tool

Great!

Pros

I love the idea of mass group texting to your customers and the way how easy you can text scheduling. It's pretty innovative and it's good to use it in mobile-centered marketing era when digital advertising is getting so crowded. A good way to remind your customers about the update in the software or app they use.

Analytics are also very robust!

Cons

Not much, I really like it. If they won't get too expensive I keep using it.

Great resource to help you stay connected

Allows us to connect with people we might not otherwise connect with. Has allowed us to keep current info in front of people that other forms of media might not reach.

Pros

That it's easy to connect with people who want to receive your info. So much better than list or spamming practices.

Cons

Wish it would allow you to use a word that someone else is already using. I suppose the limitation is the number that you text too.

2. There service works! - it's is reliable and does not break the bank.
3. When you want to grow your business... use this service. You need to be where your customers eyes are because Obscurity is a bigger problem than money.

Like Mailchimp, but for Text

We are a subscription based e-commerce company and we use Textedly to connect with users when their credit card has expired such that they can update their payment method.

Pros

Cost! Of the various texting platforms, we found Textedly to be among the most economical.

Additionally, I like that customers can join our text message lists by sending us a text message. This comes in very useful when we are delivering s presentation or are at a convention.

Cons

When you sign up, you’re assigned a phone number like “555-222”. I wish that the number was a normal number, like 612-555-5555, because customer tune out the corporate looking number.

Secondly, it is very difficult to text customers individually. Rather, the platform is built for “mass” texts that go to an entire list of people.

Finally, there is no ability to add in unique elements into the text. For example, in email marketing you can add tags to include an individual’s name into the body of an email. That type of customization doesn’t exist via Textedly.

Great inexpensive mass texting service

Overall it's great! Very helpful for communicating with subscribers.

Pros

I love that Textedly does what it says. So many other services are way too over-involved; with Textedly, people just text a keyword to a number and you can send and receive messages to them once they sign up. Easy Peasy.

Cons

The GUI isn't very good for figuring out how to use Textedly. Too many bells and whistles and distractions. Should be easier to just send a message.

Great service, easy to use

Pros

Textedly is a great tool for my business. It's the first texting service I've used, and I'm very happy with how easy it is to use. It adds a whole new element to our customer relations, without demanding a lot of time.

Cons

When I receive replies to my email, it would be great if the customer name is listed with number, since I include names in my contact lists. But this is only a minor annoyance.
