truDigital Signage is a cloud-based digital signage solution designed to help with digital communications. It allows users to upload files, including videos and images to the truDigital cloud. From there, users can add the files to any of their display screens.

truDigital Signage helps users manage files, organize content and manage multiple screens from a centralized dashboard. Users can also send content to individual locations or groups, and they can download reports.

truDigital Signage tracks ads and other content to monitor how they are played, so users can identify what content their audiences respond to more. The system also offers photo editing capabilities, file import/export options, search functionalities and a summarized view of users’ media assets on a single dashboard.

truDigital is targeted at small, midsize and large enterprises in a wide range of industries, including automotive, financial services, government, healthcare, retail and education.

Our experience with TruDigital has been enjoyable, professional, and seamless.

The benefits we received from this software were broad. We placed our system in a historical museum on our campus. This allowed us to showcase relevant content throughout the school year. When we knew certain groups would be on campus, we could feature content that would be relevant to them. Aside from sharing content we also used our system to spread awareness of events that were going on at the University. Lastly, our system provided us another medium to showcase the video productions that we created throughout the year. We showcase these videos at events and on social media, and our signage system provided us another unique way to showcase these projects that we are proud of. Overall the system has allowed us to produce and display timely and relevant content to a variety of audiences on our campus.

Pros

TruDigital provides a great total package. We love the cloud-based management that allows users to update content from any computer either on site or virtually. Also, the personable nature of TruDigital stands out. Our sales rep has remained in contact with us well over a year after we purchased our system. She has been a great resource for questions and ideas throughout our process. Aside from our sales rep, the support staff is excellent. Whenever we email over an issue we receive a personalized detailed response with screenshots and instructions within the hour. Overall both quality of the system and the personal nature of TruDigital stand out as what we like best about the software.

Cons

At times it feels like the templates are somewhat limited. Having our system for over a year I would have liked to see more change and innovation in relation to the themes. They have changed some but I still believe there is room for improvement and creativity around developing new theme designs and features for consumers. Sometimes users do not know what they want, so you have to develop it for them. I would encourage TruDigital to consider innovative signage theme ideas that could improve the user experience even more.

Great solution for the price.

After trying to implement a MUCH more expensive server-based program that did not perform as advertised, our second round of research uncovered TruDigital. One of our prime directives was that the program needed to 100% web based/hosted and accessible to all our users via PC or Mac without any software install required. We have been amazingly happy with this service, and quickly and easily built a robust program for multiple users to display announcements to our students on three adjacent 75" screens in our dining commons. It is also used on a smaller screen in the back by our food service contractor for communicating with their employees. Creating and posting content is super easy. We can use our own slides created with Photoshop or Powerpoint, or use templates provided by TruDigital. We have displayed video "commercials" we've created. We used the video feature to create cool decor for our annual Christmas dinner....a video fireplace on the center screen, and snow (again, video) falling outside the "windows" on either side! The students also appreciate the AP news feeds and weather info that are TruDigtital templates. The technical support staff are terrific, and almost all issues are resolved in minutes via their chat feature (including adding users in seconds), but they'll also call you right away when the phone is going to work better. Another imperative for us that TruDigital provides is different users having different access to any combination of the content players we need them to have. We expect to expand the program to other parts of the campus in the coming year. If there is any downside at all, it would just be that I'd like to see some other options in the templates provided, but that hasn't slowed us down. Good value, good product, great service

We recently switched to TruDigital after being slightly burned by a different digital signage company. We manage several auto dealerships, a hotel and a restaurant, so finding a software platform that allows cross promotion between different locations, as well as different business types was important. After sitting through a live demo with Jake from the TruDigital sales team, I was able to make an educated decision. The demo was one on one, with no pressure, and was scheduled when it was convenient for my schedule. The required player hardware seems robust enough to handle just about anything I want to load it with, and was reasonably priced. The software is easy to navigate, and the templates that TruDigital has for use are simple enough to edit. Since everything is based on their website, I can make basic changes to playlists and images from any computer I happen to be near. I have even made a few tweaks from my smartphone. I am not a graphic artist by any stretch of the imagination, so when I am adding my own images for slide shows from PowerPoint, or a PDF, they can appear a little grainy in resolution on larger presentation screens. However, this only seems to occur when using a full screen slide presentation on a 60" screen. When a slide show is merged with one of TruDigitals 'corkboard' style templates, the images are very clear. I have had some issues with playing certain video streams from YouTube or MP4. On occasion, the player just simply won't play the video. I have reported this to the TruDigital customer service group, and they pointed me in the right direction of proper video conversion. Speaking of customer service...these guys are great. If you have an issue, they will work with you on getting it fixed. If you have a question, someone will get back to you promptly. If you forget how to change something on your play list, you can watch one of their many tutorials, or submit a help ticket, and they will get back to you quickly. Overall, I am very pleased to be working with TruDigital. They continue to roll out helpful new features, and slick new templates on a regular basis. I look forward to working with them in the future.

Top shelf all the way; software and hardware are easy and efficient and customer service excellent.

It isn't just software... the "software" helps me to monitor my screens 24/7 which is my primary reason for switching from another provider. The "hardware" seems to be very solid and easy to work with.

Pros

I've used other systems that are cumbersome and anything but intuitive. truDigital dashboard is easy to understand and I was up and running in minutes. I have complete control over all my screens and the content, including 24/7 monitoring; which is truly pivotal in my business. All the features I could possibly need are included with the base price.
Keep in mind, it isn't just about the software. The hardware to make all of this work is virtually bulletproof. Other systems I've used are complicated and almost impossible to work with. The truDigital box came with a remote controller so there's no need to attach a mouse or keyboard to do set-up or maintenance.
I need a solution that is reliable, intuitive, and worry free. truDigital has it all in one bag at a price I can afford.

Cons

If you're asking me to throw a stone at anything, my only reservation is the "transitions" between videos within a single template don't exist. I can use a variation of transitions from one template to another which is great. But video to video or slide to slide within a single template doesn't exist. To achieve transitions, each video or slide has to be loaded into an independent template; thus making the entire process more tedious to achieve.

Does exactly what we want

The setup was painless; the day-to-day use is easy. Our receptionist started off insisting she wasn't going to be responsible for the lobby TV. Once we showed her how easy it was, though, she took right to it and doesn't ever have a problem. The only issue we've had has been when the power blinks. The little TruDigital unit is velcroed behind the TV, so when the power blinks, someone has to walk over there and hit the power button. Even a small built-in battery to keep the unit up for a minute would save that grief. Since the remote is IR and requires line of sight, you have to walk over to the wall to point the remote behind the TV, but we almost never need to use the remote for anything. So an RF remote might be a good addition, but really not necessary. It's very flexible, has lots of handy built-in content, and works seamlessly with our custom content. It even makes our FaceBook presence look good.

GREAT system for digital announcement screens.

This system has perfectly met our need for multiple users to post announcements on screens on our campus.

Pros

Very easy to use and versatile for the very reasonable price. Most importantly, all cloud based and can be accessed by PC and Mac in our organization. We looked at several systems (and even bought and canceled one) before choosing TruDigital. Sadly, this review would not let me give them TEN stars for customer service. I highly recommend them!

Cons

Can run a little slow if you clog it up with too much content or files. I'd like to see them expand our capability in that way a little bit.

Excellent Customer Service! Great Product!

Everyone that walks in to our dispatch office is intrigued and impressed by our digital menu board. It adds a professional appearance with an unlimited amount of potential uses. We communicate important information within the company, like policy and procedural changes, current goals and metrics. It's a tool that we use daily. There are a ton of applications for this menu board, we only use a small percentage of what it's capable of. The only issue I had was a connectivity issue when I changed our router. It was immediately resolved with excellent customer service. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!

Engaging.

Originally when looking to utilize truDigital it was simply to provide information to residents and guests of our assisted living community. This product did exactly that. What we quickly realized is that having older adults with cognitive impairments, this product opened up an entire new world to the residents. Instead of repeating ourselves what was happening in our community, this allowed a resource for residents to obtain the information on their own, without having to ask, and maintaining their personal dignity. We can upload pictures families have sent to rotate through and the residents love waiting to see what is coming next. Whether it be today, tomorrow, or later in the week. I love seeing the smiles on their faces when they see a picture of family, a vacation, an old photo that sparks a memory. truDigital has revolutionized the way we engage our residents, families, guests and staff. Thank you!

We do not have a lot of issues with our TruDigital signs, so I was a little surprised when ours would not work. After I reported our problem it wasn't any time before I got a call from our rep to help me with my issues. He was very professional and took care of all my problems. It's great to have the screen back up for my employees.

Friendly, efficient customer service

I have been a customer of TruDigital for over 3 years and can always count on excellent customer service from the team. It was easy to figure out and locate everything I could edit. I had it down in about two days.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use this product and design the slides as I would prefer them, for the most part.

Cons

When I'm updating the background images, sometimes they don't fit correctly or they'll multiply but in a funky way. And I'd like to be able to move the text around rather than having it in one spot.

Service is Awesome!!!

If I could give service 100 stars I would. Justin is always so helpful when I need to call and follows up with me once we have solved my problem to make sure its seen through till the end. I absolutely love my digital sign. Hands down one of the easiest platforms I have seen and definitely worth the money.

Terrific Product!

I installed several of the truDigital devices in doctors offices, a church and even my own office building. So far the overall experience, including customer service has been outstanding. I love that I can pick up the phone and speak to someone (in the USA) if I need a question answered. There is a good selection of templates which are all super easy to edit and add to the play list's. The website is easy to understand and navigate. Users can be added to only see a specified device or multiple devices, which is a must if you are reselling the product like I am. The only way to add users is to contact customer support. I am hoping a future release will allow me to manage users in the future. The hardware setup and installation is a breeze. I found the time on the weather template aligns with the device's time. So when you first set it up, be sure to change the time zone on the device to match your area. Overall, I am very happy with the product, people and service of this company. I would highly recommend this solution to anyone that is looking to display digital information.

TruDigital solution is far superior than it's competitors.

Pros

From start to finish TruDigital has been great. We started out contacting for a demo and chose TruDigital as our digital signage vendor. Ordering the players and setting up our account was a breeze. Players are configured and already assigned to our account before they ship.

Customer support is great. Once you log into TruDigital's admin portal you can start a chat and work with support right away.

Cons

The only thing I could see that I would like to have changed is the ability to see and manage admin/users better. I had to submit a ticket to add additional admins. Once our environment gets larger I see this being an issue.

Ease of use makes Trudigital a great way to begin digital signage for your company

Trudigital Signage is a very easy to use offering for digital sign development. I appreciate the fact that I can design and post my day-to-day content without the help of an in-house graphic design team. When there have been glitches or if I've needed a new overall template, the customer support team has been quite responsive. Trudigital also does a good job of continuously reviewing their offering and adding to the functionality/templates in the system. If you're looking for an "entry level" way to begin using digital signage, I'd recommend Trudigital. You can get started easily and they are clearly interested in growing with their customers' needs.

Flexibility can be lacking when it comes to setting up a template - has to go through Trudigital's process and that can be a bit slow.

New User with TruDigital

When I first signed up, I was surprised that there were no tutorials available. I called customer service and they set up an online demonstration As a new user, there was a lot to take in at once. But once I had the basic knowledge of setting a playlist and file manager the process became simple. I like the fact that I can contact support to run through an issue. The more I play around with the features the easier it gets. Once I got the basics, it was easy to explain to our other users. At the present time, we are using the three screen cork-board and 5 additional info screens. Easy to switch time of screen view and delete and add screens as necessary. We are very happy with the product. In the past, we have an info board with notes pined for the drivers to check. Many times the drivers forget to check the board. With the screen directly over the driver sign in area, their focus in directed to the screen with all of the info for the day in a 120-second blast. My only issue is changing the time on the screen. The customer service is working to resolve that issue today.

We upgraded the devices to the newest versions but still seem to have disconnecting issues sometimes

Pros

The software is easy to use the implement. Customer support is fantastic as I like being to chat online and they are fast to respond and help resolve issues.

Cons

Just the disconnecting part is problematic. It still very good though. It is possible the disconnecting part could be the local network but it's hard to tell
