Very Useful
There are somethings we have to work around but we were able to make it work for our business.
PROSSquare schedules appointments, takes payments and keeps track of customers all in one place at no additional charge.
CONSIt took a while to figure out. Start and end time feature on the appointment would be great.When making an edit in the auto text feature, I noticed the customer gets the default message & not what I changed it too, which enables me to not be able to use that feature.

Square is perfect for small businesses!
I love that I can integrate my google calendar with square. It’s amazing to have your days in one place! Square sends out reminders and confirmations which is amazing. My clients like the text message option. It goes right to their phone and all they have to do is look in their messages to check, no logins and passwords to worry about for them.
PROSI love that I can complete transactions and book the same client all in one place! I’m a one man show so this makes life easy and helps me retain business!
CONSI don’t have many complaints with square appointments. It’s worked well with keeping my schedule intact.

Square for barbershop
I’m currently searching for another appointment system that has some of the features square is lacking, there’s just many things Square should offer for the beauty industry that they don’t and for such a big company they would be such a small changes I don’t understand why they don’t initiate them.
PROSSquare is one of the first POS systems that I used so I’m very familiar with it. It integrates easily with many different applications and has a fair amount of necessary features.
CONSI pay a lot of money to use square for appointments square for payroll square for POS square for marketing etc. etc. I hate that every part of Square has a different app I wish I could all just be in one and I hate how they charge for every little thing, boy they make a ton of money off me and their customer service is horrible

So Easy To Use, Business Generating
Square Appointments has been fantastic for driving business to my private practice, as many people do not want to make a call or send an email to get started in therapy, but would prefer to just book an appointment. Also, it saves me time and energy with scheduling clients because we do not have to go back and forth discussing availability - they can just look at the calendar through the booking widget and book their own appointment.
PROSI love that it enables my clients to easily make appointments online and sends them automated reminders, that I don't have to be involved in sending.
CONSIf you encounter a problem it can be very difficult to find the contact number for customer service through the square site.
Reason for choosing Square Appointments
I actually just ultimately switched from Square appointments to simple practice, even though I had a fantastic experience with Square Appointments - because I had trouble with Square Point of Sale and the additional capabilities with Simple Practice were very helpful and desirable. If I had not had issues with Square POS I likely would not have switched. I would still recommend Square Appointments to other small businesses.

I needed a way to have clients schedule consulting and also pay for the time immediately. Before I was utilizing several online platforms that were not linked .
PROSThe ease in which you are able to set up the system was delightful,non invasive and efficient. I also like the fact someone can select from a menu to better customize their engagement with the process. ANd the mobile app is nearly identical to the desktop version which makes travel mode more efficient.
CONSMy initial set up was separate from my Square account however it is now an integral component. The new integration removed the need to work

Salon appointments
It's been okay. It took some time to get used to. Some things I would change.
PROSThis program is good for salon appointments BUT, it could be better. I love how it sends out confirmations for you.
CONSSomeone who runs a salon should really help make this program better. It's decent, but so much improvement can be made.

Bundle with Square
If the person is already using Square I would 100% recommend Square Appointments. If not, I'd still recommend they checked it out for sure but maybe look at some others as well.
PROSFirst off, this is really convenient for Square Point of Sale (P.O.S.) and payments users. Doing business with just one company is definitely preferable to using two or three. Less passwords and account information to remember, configure, and pay for. I think Square is a good company altogether, they're reputable and established. The Square Appointments app has a tidy layout that's easy to multi task from. Pop open the app and check the schedule or set reminders, either way no messaging or calling to figure out a time and day. Take care of payments and customer information in the same place.
CONSReaching out to Square for customer support or feature requests was the one place I felt dissatisfied. I don't think it should take so long especially now that it's a paid service. It's not like this for Squares other products so I don't really understand why either.

It served us well!
I love the streamline look of it on the customer side of things. The appointment scheduler was easy to use. There are a lot of options for salons on the backend with Square that I did enjoy.
CONSIt could be difficult to use on the business end. I hated that the app and the desktop version were so different. To make adjustments on my stylists booking options, I'd have to check in three different places to make sure everything looked correct online. The customer service was not great all the time or easy to get too. I am someone who does enough research and figures things out on my own, but for people who aren't great at problem solving, this isn't an easy app to use.

Excellent saas
This appointment system has changed the way we work and increased our revenue. And the regular updates are incredibly useful, systematically solving one issue after another. We are so happy with this service.
PROS-have customers pre-pay for appointments -manage multiple types of appointment and multiple employees -fine tune cancellation periods -charge cancellation fees -useful analytics
CONS-While there is a client list, which is great, it does not connect back to the charges or appointments made by that client, so it's very difficult to backtrack and figure out how a client has interacted with your company. For instance, a client calls and gives you their name and would like to cancel an appointment for a refund. The easy thing would be to find their name in the client list and see their appointment and charge, click over and cancel and refund. Right now, you'd have to click through and find their appointment by looking week-by-week. It gets even harder if someone has canceled the appointment. Then there's no way to find the payment they made, e.g. to verify that they've been refunded.

Online Scheduling for Chiropractic Practice
Square appointments is great for my chiropractic practice. Online scheduling is convenient for my customers and my staff. The platform is very user friendly, and easy to set up. My customers love the option to schedule online and ability to modify their own appointments. Appointment reminders have reduced the number of missed appointments.
PROSSquare appointments is extremely user friendly for my employees and for my customers. Email and text reminders reduce missed appointments.
CONSIt would be nice to have a feature that would allow you to schedule recurring appointments on certain days of the month (ex: 1st and 3rd Fridays).

My business is a referral based appointment only business. I have tried two other online schedule systems prior to square. Both proved to be complicated and confusing for myself and my clients causing many missed appointments by both of us. Since Square not only has my appointment calendar run like a well oil machine but I have been able to add therapists and because it’s so interactive I am able to now schedule for a massage client who would like to try a facial. Also, it is extremely easy to adjust the services to allow for monthly specials.
PROSEasy to use both for my staff and clients. Interactive, staff can view and help manage each other’s schedule. Also, can block off time if needed.
CONSI really haven’t found anything I don’t like with this system. Extremely pleased

Stress free appointments
This allows me to spend more time focusing on the clients rather then excusing myself to answer my phone. I also no longer have to carry my appointment book with me. Everything is right there!

Great Product!
This is a wonderful product. It makes owning a small business very doable. Most companies only offer of part of what square offers all in one package. They are easy to communicate with but rarely need to do so. I also like that if you don't want some of the services you have the option not to pay for them if you do not need that service.
PROSI can find everything I need in owning a small business all in one place. Other companies do not do everything that square provides in one.
CONSServices are more tailored to a product based business as opposed to a service based business making some of the features a little more difficult to utilize like I would like to use them.

Great app, needs more options
I really enjoyed using Square Appointments. It was so easy to use and I liked the entire set-up on the app. Everything was simple and to the point. I wish I could’ve continued using it though, but I had to switch my booking site because it came with some other options I needed most. If I could still run my booking site without those other options, I would still be using Square Appointments.
PROSI really liked how simple everything on the Square Appointments app was made to be. Literally, everything I needed to do with my calendar I did it on the app and it was perfect.
CONSI gave 4 stars for the Features and Functionality simply because if you are someone like me who offers a variety of services then it is a bit difficult to keep your booking site neat and organized without it looking like there are just a million things on a long list on your site. It would be much better to have an option where we can put our services into categories.

Basic Booking
What I like most about this software is the calendar view when appointments are scheduled. It is very easy to navigate through the mobile site when looking at your schedule. The calendar is sharp and I like how there are different tabs at the top to navigate through clients, the clients who have booked online, as well as the basic overview of booking details. There is a notes section in each clients account so you can put notes about the client or formulas/things to notate on their account.
CONSWhat I did not like while testing out this booking software is that it is too basic. The schedule is pretty much all one color and I like to see a breakdown in a detailed report for each client. I want to see a chart with the information of all the clients listed. It gets confusing when you are trying to view all these tools through the Square Appointments app. I also had a few issues with customer service where it took them longer than expected to get back to me.

Square has everything you could need and now offering appointments for free for individuals!
Square Appointments has been easy to use, the new updates are great, and it's a one stop shop for my business and my clients.
PROSthis is easy to use and you really have the ability to adapt easily to the interface. The Square Appointments app has now been combined with Square POS. You are able to book appointments, send invoices, and use the POS all using one app now! It's definintely streamlined for us busy business owners.
CONSThere is an option to create recurring appointments but you can only select it for that day. Ex: Monday for the next X amount of weeks. I haven't been able to set it for MWF for X amount of weeks.

Easy for people to make appointments
If you need customers to be able to make appointment online, this is the service for you!
PROSWhat I like best about Square Appointments is how easy it is for people to make appointments.
CONSGetting everything set up is relatively easy, it can be a little more difficult if you get overwhelmed by technical things. But I think it is the nature of the task, and not much they can do to make it easier.
