AlphaFlex is a cloud-based medical billing and electronic medical records (EMR) solution. It is suitable for midsize healthcare practices.

The revenue cycle management feature helps in monitoring the billing activity, the status of claims, cash posting and more. AlphaFlex billing solution integrates with managed care organizations and other insurance companies for the handling of insurance claims. It also features system-based management, the creation of financial and operations reports using templates and data fields present in the system.

The solution helps in managing clinical requirements by organizing patient tracking data, sending automatic updates on insurance, monitoring daily appointments, alerts, client notes and more.

AlphaFlex EMR solution features e-prescription, which allows physicians to send prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of patient’s choice. It also includes tools to store information generated from measuring patient outcome using tools such as the PHQ-9, addiction severity index and young mania rating scale.

Modular system

Pros

System developers knowledgeable about behavioral health care.

Cons

Slow. Modular system. Very expensive. Learning curve with navigating the system for people who aren’t very computer savvy.

Very positive experience overall.

Pros

They are very responsive, and their pricing structure aligns well with being a positive two-way relationship. Their pricing structure works in the best interest of both parties.

Cons

We have been pleased with this vendor overall. Alpha upgrades often and takes our support tickets into account when they do so. We are pleased.
