  • Pros

  • Overall, AthenaOne is an excellent platform for healthcare providers to use for improved quality care and better business results.
  • This software is sleek and beautiful. It has great ease of use for patients and myself and the office.
  • I love the ability to customize my reports, letters and templates. I love the photo capture.
  • Cons

  • The layout of this software is terrible. Very confusing and it takes a lot of clicking to access any part of the patient’s chart.
  • Once they implemented their "streamlined" version, Athena went from just terrible to the absolute worst EHR on the planet. Nothing is streamlined about it.
  • Once you start with Athena you feel trapped because you have to stick it out or you could go bankrupt.

  • A fantastic app that effectively engages with patients in a user friendly interface. Developed for clinicians for clinicians.
  • The app is great for patient communication and makes virtual appointments simple, it was a great tool during the pandemic. Support is easy to contact, and is very reliable especially Ben.
  • It is a work in progress - and I like that. Plastic surgery is about changing the way we see things - and Symplast for the time I’ve used it - has been very responsive to feedback and innovation.
  • Cons

  • Symplast is a daily frustration for our practice. While overall it has a logical arrangement, it has MANY features with illogical implementation.
  • There's already a button for returning to the current day, which should suffice. Dosespot is very disappointing for eRx.
  • When using the mobile app you are forced to type your notes in three predefined sections.
