I would recommend CareCloud for any practice.
We have used CareCloud EHR for almost 4 years and it's been great. The EHR makes it simple to manage my clients and practitioners. It has great functionality and is user friendly overall. The billing app is the best. I actually eliminated an admin position by using the billing app.
I would like for the iPhone app and the calendar app to offer a few more features. It would also be nice if there was way to upload and store clinical documents.

The user-friendliness of the software is amazing! I love that the software basically moves from left to right and the tracking on denials and no-responses ensures that you aren't having to pull those ugly aging reports. It is the most user-friendly EHR/PM solution I've ever used!

Most EHRs and CRMs have the ability to create different access for different users and user types. Carecloud has a UserRights section that gives the illusion of being able to turn off access to different sections of a patient chart, but it is just an illusion. Any person who has access to the calendar/schedule for the day can click on a patient on today's schedule and have access to all financial information. Providers do not need access to billing but they do need to see the schedule of all patients being seen in the clinic on a day they are working. I would not recommend Carecloud EMR to any practice until they have figured out how to block access to financials from the schedule app.
Easily see financials which is a pro if you want everyone to see the financials, but a negative if you want access to financials to be appropriately limited.
No way to block access to patient financials despite their misinformation that access to financials can be controlled by UserRights.

Our practice didn't discover CareCloud years ago.
One minor challenge when dealing with self-pay payment ID's for easy posting. A work around though solved the problem.

The support staff is polite and this is the only thing that I can say that is positive.
Terrible functionality. The vital signs will not even populate the note. You have to rewrite the past medical history, social history, family history, etc every time. They do not pull up many routine symptoms for a review of systems, diagnoses for past medical or family history, etc., etc., etc. And they automatically renew your contract each year for a year without 60 days notice. So, if the frustration has become overwhelming because you finally realize they are not going to fix the glitches, and you are within 59 days of the end of the year term, they say "Too bad, so sad. You have to pay for a full extra year." No apologies. Do not waste your money on this software!

EMR without the strings!
CareCloud functions like any old app you may find on your smartphone. The set up is very intuitive and you know where to click to go find things. It is also web based so easy to access from wherever you may be!
CareCloud is, at it's root, still an EMR and has the hiccups that we see in all of them. There are glitches and problems, but the support team is amazing and has helped us through them all.

The software has great reports that are easy to run and include charts and graphs of the information.
The schedule window is zoomed in, so I can't view the whole day at a glance. It would be nice to be able to see the whole day with the names , times and appointments at an eye's glance instead of scrolling.

I am a solo practitioner in internal medicine. I used Athenahealth before Carecloud due to college's recommendation. But the feels for non closed loop orders were getting expensive so I looks for a program that won't charge me a dollar for each prescription. I was interested in Carecloud due to their App settings and made it look easy to document/chart.
I should have known when they were trying to get me to sign their contract that I was in for a big diasppointment. They, the sales rep gave me a deadline to sign the contract with appealing price if I sign before the timeline. He got me on the phone with the big boss, also the same thing,' its the lowest price so sign now', like a used car dealer to seal a deal. I was a fool, $36,000 lost due to my stupid action signing that day. I will regret for the rest of my life. After 1 month of use, I knew this isnt what I wanted to uses going forward. I plan to make a youtube video showing how slow Carecloud is. Whenever patient calls for appointment or refill, it takes long time to pull up their charts and all patients complain ' why does it take so long to pull up my chart?' and we say it's our carecloud program... But that's just the tip of the iceburg. Here are the reasons I gave them for terminating with them.
1 - Promise to incorporate clients' suggestion for improvement to their platform is an empty promise. We have offered them pages upon pages of suggestions, of which exactly NONE have been incorporated in their promise of "updates" every 3 weeks. When challenged on this, the company brushed us off, saying "do you know how many providers we take care of?" Pretty clear that we, as a individual client, are not important.
2 - It may look organized but when actually using it, it forces you to move back and forth all day long between different organizational icons. Even the simplest task of ordering a patient's lab requires at least 5 minutes. It is the farthest from "user-friendly" that we can imagine!!
3 - By definition, an EMR is an ELECTRONIC medical record. Despite this, any documents that require the provider to initial or sign (all home health documentations, labs to be reviewed, etc.) need to be printed, then hand signed, then re-scanned into the computer. Be prepared to have your support staff spend an extra-ordinary amount of time managing this challenge. Again, our practice has asked CareCloud to address this concern several times without any indication that they will actually become a
initial look of it, looks different, but it is an illusion to believe that you will be better organized provider/front desk/reception with the App functionality.

Jumping from app to app to just to see patient's insurance information, up coming appointment, and to see EOB, that is not allowed in carecloud. You have to download CMS program to see EOB.
When claim has issues, it can sit in an app and none of your manager or carecloud will let you know that there is problem in you A/R, help you to solve problems. You are on your own. I almost went broke due to using their concierge service. No money was coming in.... Be prepared to get a loan or go broke with their billing services.

I hope to warn others through the nightmare I went through.
Please contact me for more information I would be happy to discuss my issues with them personally.
Especially, if you are provider that wants to be hands on, or want to do more that just charting/documentation, this program would slow you down, or it would crash and would have to start the program all over again, up to 10 - 15 times a day minimum.

CareCloud’s intuitive design has made our office workflow seamless. The interface is very easy to use and our staff is very easily trained on new functionality. CareCloud is always working to improve the product and frequent updates are available for free to help users better navigate the system. The concierge service has been very helpful to us as a new practice. Having a case manager who is just a phone call or email away helps us solve any questions or problems quickly.

Care Cloud is an innovative EMR system that allows or practice, Westford Dermatology, to shorten our revenue cycle and maximize the financial growth of our practice without any of the paperwork.
This is a cloud based platform that is very easy to use, and the communication between the vendor and the client is great! They are very responsive and help alert us to problems before we even realize problems exist.
None at this time. I believe I am a hard client to please. I am also very price sensitive and Care Cloud continues to surpass my expectations, especially for the cost.

I have been using care cloud for over two years in my practice. Over the past four to five months, something has changed about there service model. I am one of their concierge practices, which means I am paying for them to provide a full service billing model. Unfortunately, they are now tasking billing issues back to my practice to take care of, and I have had to hire a billing person to deal with these tasks. (The purpose of me using their full service billing model was so that i would not need to have a billing person full time.) I can only say that I have become more and more frustrated with them and their increasing lack of service. We used to get weekly reports from the person assigned to our practice and she was easily accessible by email, but they no longer provide this type of service. When I brought up several of my concerns, I was told that this is not the way that they are doing it anymore. I have begun the search for a new EMR. It is disappointing because they used to provide excellent service and I could recommend them to other people.

Coming to CareCloud from our previous practice management and billing company was such a relief. The software itself is intuitive and easy to use. There is total transparency as to reports and analytics, which was really, really important to us. The denial process is logical. I also appreciate that they actively request and listen to feedback - and then actually make changes. For example, after feedback from clients, CareCloud revised their patient statements to make them much easier to understand. I'm glad we chose CareCloud and would recommend them to other practices.

We have been on Care Cloud since 2011 and never looked back at any other systems since.
Down time has been minimal and any issues have always been addressed and answered promptly. My staff are pleased with the user friendly touch we get with our system and the notes module save us looking for info because it pops up when a patient is accessed. Having insurance verification in the system without having to always go on the actual insurance web sites to save us work time.

I have worked in healthcare for over 25 years, many of those with EHR systems. CareCloud is very simple and easy to use, has most of the features the legacy systems have, without all the layers of people to get through to fix a small problem. It is not perfect, none of them are and if the doctors are happy using CareCloud then it is a win-win for both of us.
Best part for me is the reporting and data analysis. Managing a practice takes data so you can tell how you are performing. I get all the information I need when I want it, without going through a third party to get a printed report. Yahoo! Gotta love it.

If you are thinking about CareCloud, run the other way. The sales team kept telling us that they will do the billing. (They just wanted the sale.) It was explained, MANY times, that we are a private practice, we are not billers. CareCloud kept assuring that we would not need to know how to bill and that we did not need the biller that we currently had. They lied. I have claims from February 2015 that are not resolved. CareCloud does not allow you to speak with their "concierge" staff, so all is done by e-mail. (They Concierge program is supposedly their billing staff.) Their training videos for the software are outdated and only cover the bare basics of processes. The customer support staff will refuse to let you speak with any form of a manager and the new CEO does not return any emails. Just waiting for the moment we can complete our contract.

CareCloud's sales team lied to my company in order to win our contract. We clearly stated that we would be an iPad based clinic and providers would be using iPads exclusively in the exam rooms....no problem, they said, its fully compatible in fact designed with the iPad in mind....but during the initial setup training calls, we are told the iPad functionality is a READ ONLY format. What good is that? And, so we told them we could not use their software because like we had stated in the very first demo, we are an iPad based clinic. They turned our account over to collections. Would highly alert you to reconsider signing with a company that does not stand by what they say and will lie to win your business. Buyer Beware!
