CaregiverDesktop is a cloud-based EHR solution designed for practices to assist them in managing medical documentation, patient billing, scripting, lab ordering and more. It is suitable for small size Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology, OB/GYN and Orthopedics practices. The solution integrates with current practice management software and interfaces with hospital systems. Also available in the suite are medical billing and patient scheduling applications.

CaregiverDesktop helps to automate paper charts and allows practices to build digital forms that can be modified according to their needs. The solution automatically populates forms into the patient’s chart and find diagnosis codes and descriptions on the encounter form.

CaregiverDesktop is ONC-ATCB certified and helps practices to receive Meaningful Use incentives from the government. Additional features include internal messaging, workflow automation, task prioritization, preauthorization and patient reminders.

    The Neighborhood Center is a Human Service organization with a variety of Behavioral Health Care programs. Programs include: a 24/7 Mobile Crisis Assessment Team, 2 Article 31 Clinics, and a large Supportive Case Managment program. When we first began looking at converting to an electronic record we had many concerns. The biggest were: being non-profit we could never afford it for all of programs. We did not think an "out of the box" program would ever meet all of our program unique needs and we knew we could not afford to have a system "built" for us. How to convince staff this was a good thing and could some individuals who barely use a computer be able to learn the system (we have staff who have been employed with us long before computers became a staple office supply). It is a pleasure to report that Inforia quickly allievated all of our fears. First, the Internet system was very affordable and, most importantly, conformed to each of our individual programs - the computerized record used our forms and the layout of the record matched our paper record! This individualized approach to building our case records made it very easy for our clinicians and providers to learn, it already looked familiar! A very reassuring feature when computer use was so intimidating to many of our staff. Implemenatation was quick, when considering the major changes we were making. The Inforia staff were responsive, quick to allay our staff's fears, and provided the hands on training to over 50 staff. Customer support is available when needed! If the system had a few more built in fail safes - such as report reminders and supervisory notifications if certain required documentation was not completed, I would rate functionality 5 stars.

    Surgical Associates of Ithaca is a 4 surgeon practice in Ithaca, NY specializing in General and Bariatric Surgery. We had been actively seeking to purchase our first EMR system for 4 years when we discovered Inforia and their Caregiver product. I had interviewed and seen so many products in the last 4 years, so when I first talked to their salesman, I was intrigued by their concept. I needed a system that would work for the surgeons that were still not ready for EMR and the surgeons that were ready. She assured me that by incorporating the forms we already used into an electronic format, that we would be able to accommodate everyone’s needs, and they have! They took time right upfront to follow the flow of our office, map our needs and then recreate all of that in the EMR. We went live with our EMR in March of 2012; with a full patient schedule that day. There needed to be minor adjustments here and there that first week but our transition was very smooth. Our employees were thrilled to take the leap into the advanced technology and had it mastered in a few days. As you can imagine, the amount of paper in office notes, surgical reports, referrals, lab, and pathology reports was cumbersome and always a mess in the paper charts. With Caregiver, everything now comes into the practice via fax and is turned into an electronic form that is dropped right into the patient chart under the correct tab. We have saved thousands of dollars in paper and ink costs alone, not to mention the man hours we used to spend on keeping charts sorted. Caregiver continues to meet our changing needs, and tweaks just what we need to make everything work - even a year later. We met our Meaningful Use goals and received our incentive payment just last week. I do not hesitate to offer a recommendation on Caregiver and the staff at Inforia that makes this product work. The customer service has been exceptional, and I look forward to a long relationship with this Inforia.

    Farah Dermatology and Cosmetics is a family-based dermatology practice specializing in medical/cosmetic adult and pediatric dermatology. All three of our physicians, Drs. Fuad, Ramsay and Joyce Farah, hold academic positions at the Upstate Medical University where they teach medical students and residents. Our office is thankfully very busy on days when we are in our private office. Our main goal is to provide the best dermatological care to our patients, while giving them the time needed to assess a given dermatological issue and provide them with the best treatment plan. We wanted to improve overall office efficiency and to that end, we needed to make some changes in our current electronic management software. We also wanted to be able to participate in the Meaningful Use program and additionally wanted something customizable and very user-friendly. The existing software we had in place did not satisfy these criteria. We were therefore in search of a new program that could satisfy all of these criteria. The practice went live with CaregiverDesktop on December 21, 2011. The trainers were on-site. The beauty of the system was that it was almost just like using paper. It was quick, easy and accurate. The transition was seamless – in fact, we didn’t cut down on our patient load at all. Our office is more efficient. We keep track of patient throughput much more easily. Lastly, we are able to meet Meaningful Use criteria. Our goals have been met – the physicians and staff are happy. We have already recommended Inforia to several other practices. Simple solutions are usually the best.

    CNY Obstetrics & Gynecology, PC has been in practice since 1991. We began looking to go from paper to an electronic medical record in 1998. We had the unique opportunity because our administrator also worked as a consultant for multiple medical practices over the years. She used various EMRs in her role as a trouble shooter, giving us a head start on many of the products available. It quickly became clear to us that Inforia was willing to meet the unique needs of the OB/GYN practice. They understood that each patient in our practice needs two medical records once they become pregnant. Their ability to create their software to meet this "chart within a chart" aspect was one of the most convincing selling points. The fact that Inforia tailored our EMR to match how the paper charts looked down to the smallest detail ensured that all employees were able to understand the flow of information easily. Flow of information in the CaregiverDesktop platform is efficient. Patient safety is of the utmost importance and their product ensures accurate, safe transition of patient information. The staff at Inforia continue to be as attentive to our needs as they were in the beginning.
