Much better than paper charting; ability for interdisciplinary communication.

Problems that arise because of difficulty to navigate certain areas; users are unaware and unable to utilize full capacity of software.

I am not involved with EMR purchasing decisions but from what I understand, Cerner PowerChart is a good product for the money.

Easy customization and integration with third party tools, amazing customer support. Customize macros and auto text feature available in Powerchart.

M a believer of you get what you pay for. However in a world of limited options this could be better for the cost.

Ease of communication with staff through the EMR.

Support was spotty at best, often the IT people been forced to resolve the problems themselves, or improvise, while the agency I'm working was paying Cerner money.

Learning to manually alter settings takes some time and user know-how. Getting settings to stay over time can be difficult.

Overall, i have had a pleasant experience with this software, it is definitely user friendly and provides healthcare workers a variety of tools that make charting much easier.

I liked that it was user friendly and intuitive. I had a basic training and was able to figure most of it out by myself.

For the purpose of my job, I don't really have any problems with Cerner. While I do not find it hard to use at all, I  had older nurse colleagues who struggled with it initally.

It is clunky, and a bit disconnected especially between departments which leaves communication gaps which can be dangerous in the hospital situation.

Fairly easy to document and order labs and do your notes. Calendar and patient appointments are easy to manage.

Occasionally there are problems with the serve, errors when logging in, which are addressed by support team in a timely matter.

I find that this software is not oriented towards the physical therapist, and it is very tough to integrate information between departments in the hospital.

There is so much information placed in odd places throughout a patient's chart.

Ease of use - it was great to not need much training to use this software.

If an error is made entering information into a patient's chart, it can be challenging to fix.

This is an unfortunate drawback which points to the lack of autosave features.

I like how easy it is to navigate through the EMR. I have used tons of EMRs but this one has been my favorite.

Very steep learning curve, and not user-friendly at all. Multiple confusing steps required to complete each entry.

Our database recently got updated, which made a few of the features better, and a few worse.

I like the ability to review patients medical history, encounters with all health care departments and status updates.

The support staff has been very helpful. Without them standing behind the doctors and nurses charting on this system would be impossible.

I work with this on a daily basis and it is a godsend, I pull records on a daily basis filing appeals and what not.

I like that PowerChart is easy to navigate and customize depending on the user. The customer support is always a phone call away if you need them.

There are a few little things that drive me crazy with using this database. It's not always easy using the search feature to look up patients, for example.

I dislike that the software is not always intuitive.

Implementing Cerner has been nothing but a positive experience and we have continued to find ways to improve our program to benefit each department within our clinic.

I dislike that sometimes errors can pop up on the screen when they aren't supposed to and at my institution, the application can crash frequently.

Amazingly poor UX/UI layout, and often confusing. The customer services has been all along a nightmare.

Patients have also experienced the increased efficiency since implementing Cerner - This has been our biggest win.

Lastly, even if you want to get out of this portion of the contract, ModMed will not let you. You are forced to pay for it for the full 3 year opt in time even if you no longer use it.

The EMA system is intuitive, the analytics are pretty robust and the PM system is easy to learn.

Also, the patient reminder system ( Relatient) is awful. It does not connect in real time to the practice schedule and requires extra work to find out if a patient has cancelled an appointment.

Our entire practice runs on ModMed EHR and practice management. This is the best business move I have ever made.

EMA's Customer Support personnel are superb - it is a pleasure to speak with them and I know my issue will be resolved in a timely fashion. I can't imagine going back to the old way of doing things.

The best EMR for Dermatology on the market (we’ve had three). Fully integrated PM, Path and clinical in one system.

EMA is a great, they keep you informed and are always up to date with all new and important information that pertains to your practice.

Third, Modernizing Medicine is very customer friendly and they are very good at continuously improving the system and making it even more user friendly.

Best dermatology EMR out there, very streamlined and easy to use. I am incredibly happy with my choice because it gives me efficiency, and it has very nice built in capabilities for dermatology.

Disappointment in EMR  with terrible billing capacity.

We had looked at several EMR's, but was frustrated by the inability to customize the products.

It is capable of producing a comprehensive clear note. The ability to access pictures and notes is good.

We have been a ModMed EMA and PM customer since 2016 and are very pleased. We have implemented a very streamlined workflow within the office which has created room for more productivity and revenue.

It saves us time and improves the quality of our care, hence we are more productive and profitable. The built in PT education features (handout and vDX links) are incredibly helpful.

I personally use Kareo which integrates quite well with it. Great support team when you need them.

Our group had searched for 3-4 years prior to selecting Modernizing Medicine, and are thrilled with the choice we made.

Modernizing medicine as a company is a pleasure to deal with and provides unparalleled customer support. They are very responsive to our office and are an extremely progressive company.

EMA has allowed us to cut down on the time that our providers spend entering notes by orders of magnitude over other systems we have tried.

This means loss of revenue for the practice. The reminder system is also very redundant and I have had numerous patient complaints over it.
