  • Pros

  • Charm is a user friendly, patient friendly, online EMR system. It has many different features that help to automate many tedious tasks and help take the burden off of smaller clinics/teams.
  • I heard from a colleague that Charm had fabulous customer support and that is what made me give it a try. I absolutely can say that I have gotten excellent customer support from Charm.
  • Charm has been a wonderful addition to my practice. I use only the medical records portion of it because I am happy with the practice management software that I currently use.
  • Cons

  • There have been problems with sending eprescriptions - The software can not locate the particular medication and you must know the generic as well as the trade name on occasion to get it through.
  • Minor problem exists with entering patient email addresses. Software sometimes flags as invalid email address with anything that ends in.
  • Net then got back and re-enter the correct email address. Customer service has yet to fix this problem.

  • I've recommended Elation to everyone I know who's looking for an EMR and I can't overstate how delighted I am with their product and their service.
  • I can tell you- Elation staff is super smart. Customer service is not needed much as everything works great.
  • We tried two other EMRs before purchasing Elation and the difference between Elation and the other two is night and day. Elation is easy to use, intuitive, and helps us to be more productive.
  • Cons

  • I have lost so much data from my previous EHR that I never would have switched. The data migration team told me on several occasions that data could not be used or mapped into the charts.
  • I had a list of questions of what I needed in an EHR Software and was lied by the Implementation Team. The templates in the system are not customizable.
  • Customer service and support is abysmal -- this is the primary reason for the 1 star review. Why is customer service experience is so poor in a product that has been out for so many years.
