  • Pros

  • Charm is a user friendly, patient friendly, online EMR system. It has many different features that help to automate many tedious tasks and help take the burden off of smaller clinics/teams.
  • I heard from a colleague that Charm had fabulous customer support and that is what made me give it a try. I absolutely can say that I have gotten excellent customer support from Charm.
  • Charm has been a wonderful addition to my practice. I use only the medical records portion of it because I am happy with the practice management software that I currently use.
  • Cons

  • There have been problems with sending eprescriptions - The software can not locate the particular medication and you must know the generic as well as the trade name on occasion to get it through.
  • Minor problem exists with entering patient email addresses. Software sometimes flags as invalid email address with anything that ends in.
  • Net then got back and re-enter the correct email address. Customer service has yet to fix this problem.

  • As long as I have secure internet access, I can use it anywhere. And once again, I very much endorse the ease, speed and quality of the integrated transcription service.
  • Valant support has been very responsive and helpful. Product of Valant has been great to use.
  • This is wonderful software for a mental health provider. The staff is very helpful and made implementation very easy.
  • Cons

  • Problem is it rejects nearly every claim, which causes backups. My providers complain about how complicated notes were, I have lost sever providers because of it.
  • It has been incredibly frustrating and difficult. We have not opened our doors yet and are being sent invoices for service that were not even using.
  • Getting started was frustrating. Once you sign the contract, the customer service team stop replying to emails.
