ChiroFusion is a cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) solution designed for chiropractors to help them manage key clinical activities such as scheduling, reporting and billing.

ChiroFusion EHR offers integrated practice management features that allow practitioners to schedule and manage patient appointments, send appointment reminders to both doctors and patients, create reports and bill patients for medical services. Appointments can be booked, confirmed, rescheduled or canceled via an email or text message, allowing clinics to track daily bookings, no-shows and cancellations.

ChiroFusion allows clinics to create SOAP compliant notes, submit claims to insurance companies and process payments electronically. Medical documents and clinical records are automatically backed up in an online repository in real time. A self-service portal allows patients to check in using an iPad or tablet, submit their medical history, access prescriptions, pay bills and more.

It is available for a monthly subscription and support is offered via online webinars, phone and email.

This software is a good purchase and reasonable price for a chiropractic clinic.

Pros

It is Not two separate programs for billing and documentation. The customer service is outstanding. The program is easy to use. They do take advice so I expect that the cons I have now will disappear in the future.

Cons

I have to type in differential diagnoses and there are not many options for long-term and short-term goals so I have to type these in if I want to be more specific.
They are not accepting new clients for their billing.

I have an upper cervical practice. I believe ChiroFusion is built great for a full spine chiropractor, but with no ability to save or customize templates in the objective findings, there are downfalls for UC chiropractors.

Pros

Simple and easy to learn and implement into practice.
Customer support is always helpful.
Can submit insurance claims electronically or print HCFA forms.
Small, monthly fee
SOAP notes are easy and quick to write and save

Cons

No customizable templates
Cannot add orthopedic examinations in examination section (you have a list of exams to choose from and document)

Chirofusion

Chirofusion is great for cash practices and startup companies. It was very useful and the support was great however if you have more of an insurance and PI based office, the software becomes more difficult to use with billing and you have basically a set SOAP note with not much room to change anything. All of your notes are pretty much the same.

Pros

Support was great and they would call you back fairly quickly and do what they can to help in any situation.

Cons

Even though they are willing to help, there was not always a solution to your issue. Billing was often an issue especially with Office Alley. Office Alley wouldn't always input the electronic EOBs correctly cause us to have to input ourselves to correct the mistakes.

Convenience!!!!!

Pros

It is very thorough in terms of chiropractic needs for documentation. The notes and reports look very well presented.

Cons

I would like to be able to hand type information in the note/report in it's final form, where were electronically sign.

Customer service has been great so far. Training sessions are easy to schedule and very informative. Great value for the investment.

Cons

At first it was slightly hard to find all the ways to customize/create easy shortcuts.
One feature that would be great in the Chiro Analysis section of the Objective notes is to have the ability to set that if I select "Subluxation" it automatically fills in other fields. Will allow faster notes.

The note taking and transfer to the billing is pretty seamless and easy. It makes making detailed notes easier than any software I have used in the last 6 years. There are a few outdated fields that need to be addressed, but nothing that takes a couple seconds in order to finish a note.

Cons

The initial training is almost useless, they just go over the training manual and videos that is offered for free, but the worst part is they show you on a demo account and not actually on your own login account to make sure it is setup correctly, which I thought was extremely unhelpful. I would be guessing they do this so that you need to call and pay for additional support later, if you don't have the full package. If you have used any EHR/EMR software before it is pretty easy to setup without the initial training.

Cost for quality and quantity cannot be beat. The system ties billing in so that you save time and money by posting charges directly. Electronic EOBs offer an additional layer of security to payments received in the office.

Cons

There are a couple small items in the SOAPs that I would like to see added but these are mostly just items I have grown accustom to in previous softwares.

The two way text reminders is super helpful and tells your office whether a patient will still make their scheduled appointment or not... definitely reduces no shows! As for the payer set-up in billing, this unfortunately is a requirement from payers that is out of our control and not just applicable to us. Payers require providers to submit new enrollments anytime you switch clearinghouses and it's specifically a ChiroFusion thing. However, our team recognizes opportunities to provide above and beyond stellar service and our team provides assistance with enrollments as a curtesy. We provide you with all the info you need and help keep it simple. We will have our team reach out and help ensure this aspect is completed on your account.

It allows me to easily store my information online and also work with my billing company.

Pros

I like that it is cloud based, and that you don't have to store anything on your computer. It's easy to navigate and pretty intuitive to use.

Cons

The ability to have patients sign in to a tablet and leave their subjective complaints and rate their own pain would be nice - also having the ability for patients to schedule their own appointments online that would schedule them in the system and/or the ability for the schedule to synchronize with Google calendar would be awesome.

Soap notes are great easy to write very quick can write soap in less then 30 seconds. The report writer takes about 15 minutes to write a report

Cons

Hard to learn when coming from a different system. I am still working on learning the billing process a lot more complicated in my old system I'm still getting help setting up the Billing System. I hope that using the system for another couple months I will be more proficient with the Billing System

As with any transition, learning a new way of doing something does take a little patience. Pros

Ease of use, and ability to use your our abbreviations and voice recognition with google app. The overall presentation is clean and appealing, everyone I have talked to on the phone has been very courteous and helpful.

Cons

Lacking in some features that other software have. The ability to edit previous notes and edit some of the drop down menus is lacking.

We do include pretty much everything you would want & need in our reporting module, and we do offer the ability to customize the pages for what you include in your reports. It's simple, and the system is intuitive enough to identify what not to include in areas you do not utilize for reporting. Electronic payments are the biggest plus for me.

Pros

The ease of the exams and soap notes are quick and easy. I also like how easy it is to send electronic and paper claims.

Cons

Managing the patients account. Truly hate that you have to enter individual procedures when I get paid by a 3rd party for multiple dates. Waste of my time.

Like many platforms you do have the ability to migrate & import patient demographic data from your previous software. We're not aware of any EHR software that supports migration of all patient/medical data. We will say this... if it's possible, we always strive to make it happen!
