Great Customer Service and Program

PROS

The software is easy to use. I have several doctors in my practice with a variety of needs. One doctor prefers to use dictation, another preferred to stick with his paper forms, and yet another uses a combination of dictation, drawing, and notes, along with templates. We looked around for a few years, but my doctors were not happy with having to compromise, as most programs do not allow my doctors to be so varied. An administrator with a nearby practice told me about their program, EncounterWorks. We began using the program a couple of months later. It is reasonably priced and allows each of my doctors to use the charting format that best suits their needs or a combination of everything. The new Rapid Notes section allows my providers and staff to make their own templates for letters, clinical information, chart notes, anything. Since it works like Microsoft Word, even my older staff members were able to easily use it. My providers can upload pictures to the patients' charts directly to the clinical note, and even draw pictures, or write on the same forms they used to use using a tablet. There was some adjustment period, but the staff at EncounterWorks was wonderful to work with. They were patient with me, even when I called repeatedly in one day. I always got a live person to speak to. They never promise us they can do something that they cannot, and they are honest about the software's capabilities.

CONS

There is not really anything we do not like about the system. The scheduling feature works very well, but we are working with EncounterWorks about customizing it to allow for custom schedule building. They are great about helping us customize the system, without charging a ton of money to do it.

Customizable and Easy to Use

PROS

I love the way they are able to create templates to suit my needs. It's 100% customized to fit my documentation methods. It's also easy for me and my staff to create templates from my old Word documents, turn them into point-and-click documents, add pictures, add my logo, and make them so that when I print them out, they are professional and exceedingly easy to read. I don't have to scan through a bunch of sections to make sure I have completed my note; it is all there in one page that flows with me. My personal consultant is wonderful. She answers my questions and is available for training my new staff when I need her. She's very responsive and always there when I need her.

CONS

I really cannot think of much I don't like. Anything I haven't liked, I've discussed with them, and they have taken care of it.

Great make up for the majority of things that need to be done.

PROS

I love the make up of the site and the ease of use.

CONS

It is not, however a good venue if you need to use inventory. I have over 3000 pieces of inventory and, was never able to get it to work. Also the staff is not so great at returning phone calls or emails. I may go several days with out hearing back on an issue. It has caused a lot of frustration for a small clinic that can't afford to get behind in paper work.
