Genesis Chiropractic software


Developed for chiropractors, Genesis Chiropractic Software by Billing Precision is a web-based solution that offers EHR, scheduling, billing, and documentation within one integrated system.

Genesis is ONC-certified and comes with tools for EHR/SOAP documentation. The program uses proprietary technology that automatically creates tasks for users to correct issues without running detailed reports.

Compliance Monitoring systems are built into one workflow and managed from the single program. Claims that need attention are immediately identified to the staff, and users have access to the total number of tasks needed to maximize collections, patient retention, and compliance.

The software is cloud-based and compatible with Mac or PC operating systems and mobile devices, including iPads. Genesis’ Billing department provides billing services for buyers looking to outsource this task to outside group.

    Everything was perfect except setting up with our Clearinghouse took a little longer than I thought. It is all set up now, however, and works flawlessly.

    The ability to customize the software and make it easier for you. If you have any question the help button is very usefully.

    Sometimes the software freezes and we need to exit out the whole webpage and lose information you had already typed (if you did not save it ) .

    I really like the easy access to tons of tools the program itself offers. You can go from checking the billing and EHR, the schedule and many other features that make the life easy for chiropractic assistants, the massage therapist and the chiropractor.

    Cons

    Something I dislike about the software is that it does not offer tutorials for every detail and since the program is very unique, there isn't a lot of Google tutorials or help surveys.

    Practice analysis! Love it, LIVE! There's not another system to easily track the heart beat of your office.

    Cons

    No system is perfect for everyone. Getting used to the notes took time but once dialed, it rocks. You will always find something you don't like about a EHR system. Go with what serves your needs best!

    I love that fact that I can access so much information through different simple reports. It gives me a "bird's eye view" of our practice. I also like the notification system that allows the program to be our memory bank rather than team members needing to remember specifics for each patient.

    Cons

    Living in southwest Florida, weather hinders our electric and internet service at times. If we experience loss of power or slow internet service, we may have to do data entry.

    I work with Genesis in a business to business capacity with two reps as my main points of contact. Based on my knowledge of the software, I like that it seems fairly straightforward and utilizes full integration of chiropractic payment systems, billing practices, specialized reporting , scheduling and POS tracking to help the clients run their practices efficiently to maximize profit and growth.

    Cons

    In my experience, the clients I work with who utilize the software sometimes need more focused training and understanding of the software to fully learn all of the capabilities that the system has to offer.

    In the 10 years I've been in practice, I've never once had to worry about insurance billing and collections.

    Pros

    Ease of use and customization to your practice. Nothing is missed from billing and collections to patient missed visits. Reports are awesome and everything you need is just a click away.

    Cons

    The only thing I don't like is opening a ticket for any and all communication with the company. It makes sense that by doing it this way, every piece of communication is documented, but sometimes one just likes to pick up the phone. :)

    Scheduling is simple and user friendly. Readily seeing when patients miss an appointment is easy. Submitting tasks to the Genesis team is also simple when you need help having someone explain or walk you through a process.

    Cons

    Doctor SOAP notes actually take a significant amount of time to enter unless you spend a lot of money to buy a set up previously designed by someone else. The Billing Team is expensive and they tell you how much they'll work on your behalf, however since they get paid off of what you actually bill out, they have not been motivated to actually resolve issues for us. It's taken our office spending hours on the phone with insurance companies to get detailed answers and remedy situations. Also, when the Billing Team causes an error they blame it on the "user" which is the doctor's office. Finding and printing reports are not user friendly.

    Ease of use when scheduling a patient and creating care plans. It is easy to reschedule and add notes on when to follow up. I also appreciate that it creates tasks for you if something pops up that you have not finished on time.

    Cons

    It is confusing on how to edit and change a SOAP note. I'm an IC in the office I work in and I charge differently for Day 1 exams and xrays so it was confusing editing the notes and editing the charges.

    Genesis is light years away from the traditional chiropractic patient management software.

    Pros

    Genesis is a very complete patient management software. It is very well designed, and very user friendly. We did have to spend several hours learning the system, once we finished our training, I loved how smart and efficient Genesis is.

    Cons

    The data reporting needs some improvement. The design is not very appealing and we are not able to get every single stat that we need.

    It has not been useful for me and my position at the office like our last software.

    We like that it is web based and you can access it from anywhere. Wish there was a mobile version to schedule outside of the office for events.

    Cannot customize and user interface for patient sign in is terrible. There have been a lot of issues that cannot and have not been resolved for us.

    Great, for the outlook for week by week and customizing that availability within the practice. Notes are the most difficult process.

    Finding patients is easy. I like the features of customizing that schedule for all the rooms in the practice.

    Notes for patients are not that easy, and it is confusing for adding additional notes per additional visits. Customizing notes is lengthy.

    It's practice management tools are second to none that I have used in the past. I have used Practice Fusion, ChiroTouch, and others. This is the most robust software that I've used.

    Pros

    The vast number of features and customizations and custom reports we can have it generate. This is also my con because it's almost too much and it isn't intuitive. I compare Genesis to a PC with windows or Android. It works well if you have a high level of knowledge and know how to manipulate it. VS a Mac or Apple that you just open up and it begins working, you don't have to be an IT specialist to get the most out of it.

    Cons

    The vast # of customizations. It's been over two years and i still discover tools that I didn't know existed. Perhaps it exists but i never saw it, but a complete manual helping to set up, teach new employees and customize to fit a growing or changing practice without having to open tickets all the time.

    Insurance and PI claims get billed quickly. Accountability between the employees. I know when one of my employees is not getting their work done.

    Pros

    Insurance billing is incredible. Tasks and task checklists keep my team on track and focused on what they need to do. There are so many reports that help you track the "health" of your practice.

    Cons

    The patient files could be better organized. It takes a few weeks to understand all the tabs and what each function will do.

    It is my EHR software. I can do my billing and notes all at once.

    Pros

    It is easy to write a note and submit to insurance. It has many features that allow me to integrate other software I have.

    Cons

    There is simply too much to know and the training is poor. The initial start up training is woefully inadequate leaving you to learn everything on your own. I simply don't have the time to put in to getting better at the system so as a result I don't use most of the functions available. The system is also expensive.

    Everything in one place . Lots of functionality, once you know how to use and operate! Quick navigation and ability To setup certain functions specific to office needs!

    Cons

    Wish it were a little more customizable.. for example, i would love the ability to change color and message on stop screens...even make it more animated on certain visits. Like confetti on birthday & 100th visits etc. It's becoming more and more user friendly though!
