Early on, I used the free version--actually for quite awhile--as I worked on getting my practice going. It was amazing to have such low overhead while I was only able to spend a small amount of time and energy on my private practice. Now, it's been able to scale up with me. I love the seamless integrations with a lot of the tools I'm already using, such as Fullscript, the ease of creating superbills, having appointment scheduling, chat messaging, video calls, payment processing, food and symptom logging, and even a fax line all on one platform. I like that I can receive faxes through it as well, and that there is no Zoom membership required to use their HIPPA-compliant telehealth features. #### Cons There was a bit of a learning curve when I first started using Healthie. My patients also complained early on about the website and app not working well, but I have had far fewer complaints since they released some app updates in the past year. You can assign and create forms, take notes, schedule appointments and more in this system. It keeps track of all of my clients and notes as well in one comprehensive place. #### Cons There are limitations on the app and some actions need to be taken on desktop only. Also, I haven’t experienced any significant updates to the platform over the past 8 years that I have been using it. And the video chat feature feels very dated. It is very simple to navigate, create forms, and send information to clients securely. A subscription to Healthie also includes secure messaging, and secure calling with Fax (depending on the subscription level that you have. The value that Healthie provides is fantastic. It allows to to communicate with other practitioners/providers in the community and they have excellent client support as well. Payment processing is streamless and very effficient. Healthie makes it very easy to manage a practice. They also allow you customize the forms with your branding as well. It really is a fantastic platform and I love all of the integration options. #### Cons The only thing that I don't necessarily like is that, I have to copy customized forms and send them to clients individually. I like that I have one location for my education platform, notes, handouts, billing, scheduling, etc. It helps me provide a HIPAA secure platform for my clients that levels up my professionalism. I like that I can grow my practice - it's scalable. #### Cons The app is glitchy - it's often hard to have clients use it for the educational portal or form completion. It doesn't want to let them save it and move on to the next step. I just added our third practitioner, which was a surprise that it would add $50/month ($600 year) and we're now up to $200/month ($2400 year). For a small business with independent contractors, that's a lot of money and I don't feel like what Healthie provides is worth it. The calendar is not intuitive, admin settings are not all-inclusive, and we still have so many questions. Some of our questions have been answered by 1:1 calls with our account managers, and some have been through the help desk, but neither option are very adept at explaining solutions in a thorough way to someone just learning the system. One issue that I was told was a special option that could be done through the help desk took 7 emails from me to get it set up and now it looks terrible - not at all how it was described to me. The ability to embed Healthie into my website in various ways took the need of a web designer out of the picture and I was able to build the website myself. The ability to work on documents together within the Healthie platform is a big time saver and what a help it is to open the client data base and have the clients entire picture there to access in one place. With Healthie, I can manage my clients pretty much with my phone throughout the day. It continues to become a better app every month and i am excited for the integration of retail sales next month. They've created a platform that meets nearly every need of a private practice dietitian. They are constantly evolving the product with new and better functionality every month. Most important, their customer support is outstanding. They make it very easy get answers, they handle issues quickly and they look for our input on product improvement. Also like that there is one service and it is not tiered. #### Cons I would like some type of nutriton analysis available with the software. No incentive was offered Lots of promises with very little follow through and not nearly a complete working product. Horrendous Android experience. Terrible customer support. My patients can book online which is convenient, but I've never experienced a software product that feel so far short of its developer's claims. Poor general support (submit ticket, long waits for responses, little to no actual support is given besides that they are "working on it"). My healthcare provider schedule shows a daily view from 2am to midnight even though I only see patients during normal hours. This makes viewing your daily schedule an absolute mess, especially when booked solid.
