Our Analysis of Jane's Pricing Plans

Choosing the right pricing plan for your practice is crucial. To help simplify your decision-making, we’ve examined Jane’s pricing structure and distilled the key elements of its Balance, Practice, and Thrive plans. By understanding the unique advantages and limitations of each, you can confidently choose the option that best aligns with your practice’s needs—whether you’re a solo practitioner just starting out or an established clinic looki...

ng to scale. **Balance Plan** The Balance Plan is ideal for solo practitioners or those just starting their practice. At $54 per month, it offers a cost-effective solution with essential features such as a single practitioner profile, up to 20 appointments per month, and unlimited admin and locations. This plan includes both online and in-person appointment capabilities, as well as secure patient portal access. **Pros:** - **Budget-friendly:** The low monthly cost makes it accessible for practitioners with limited budgets. - **Core tools included:** Includes key functionalities like charting templates, intake forms, and treatment plans. - **Scalable:** Allows for unlimited admin and locations, accommodating growth. **Cons:** - **Limited appointments:** The 20 appointment per month cap may be restrictive for busier practices. - **Not suited for teams:** Supports only one practitioner profile, making it impractical for multi-provider clinics. - **Missing features:** Some features, such as integrated lab services, are not yet available. **Practice Plan** The Practice Plan, at $79 per month, caters to growing practices with multiple staff members. It includes all features from the Balance Plan, along with unlimited appointments and staff profiles. Additional fees apply for staff licenses: $17.50 per month for part-time users (less than 24 booked hours per week) and $35 per month for full-time users (24 or more booked hours per week). **Pros:** - **Unlimited appointments:** Supports practices with higher patient volumes without restrictions. - **Staff flexibility:** Accommodates multiple staff profiles with customizable licensing options. - **Customization options:** Offers branding customization, selectable availability, and online booking pre-payment policies. **Cons:** - **Incremental cost increases:** Half and full licenses for staff members can add up, increasing monthly expenses. - **Paywalled features:** Key tools like insurance billing and group telehealth are not included in the base price. - **Complex pricing structure:** Combining the base fee with variable license and feature costs can make budgeting more challenging. **Thrive Plan** The Thrive Plan, priced at $99 per month, is designed for established practices seeking advanced features. It includes all features from the Practice Plan, along with advanced scheduling options, automated patient waitlist management, and marketing tools. Additional staff licenses are available at $20 per month for part-time staff and $40 per month for full-time staff. **Pros:** - **Comprehensive feature set:** Offers a wide range of tools for efficient practice management. - **Flexible scheduling tools:** Includes room & equipment management, availability tagging, and patient self-check-in. - **Built-in marketing support:** Provides ratings and reviews functionality and Google Analytics integration. **Cons:** - **Higher base cost:** The monthly fee may be substantial for smaller practices. - **Increased license fees:** Half and full license costs are higher compared to the Practice Plan. - **Extra cost for group telehealth:** Requires an additional $15 per month, per practitioner. **Additional information** All plans follow a subscription-based pricing model and are billed on a monthly basis. While there is no free trial, a demo account is available for exploration. Jane does not offer a forever-free plan; however, discounted rates are available for new graduates, students, and non-profit organizations. **Conclusion** After analyzing Jane's pricing structure, it's evident that they provide a range of plans to accommodate various practice sizes and budgets. **For solo practitioners or small clinics:** The Balance Plan, at $54 per month, is an excellent entry point. It offers essential features like online booking, charting templates, and secure patient portal, making it suitable for practices with a limited number of appointments. However, as the practice grows, the 20-appointment limit may become a constraint. **For thriving practices with multiple providers:** The Practice Plan or Thrive Plan are more fitting. These plans offer unlimited appointments and staff profiles, along with advanced features such as customizable branding and automated waitlist management. The per-license pricing allows for flexibility based on each provider's workload. While the monthly cost is higher, the added functionality can significantly streamline operations and enhance patient experience. Ultimately, the choice of plan depends on factors like practice size, growth projections, and feature requirements. Jane's pricing model allows for scalability, ensuring that the chosen plan can support the practice's evolving needs. By carefully evaluating these aspects and aligning them with the appropriate plan, practices can optimize their investment in Jane and set themselves up for long-term success.

Jane.App: The best EHR system I've ever dealt with

5

Pros:
Pricing is great, booking for clients is simple and customer support is top notch. Insurance billing is simple and the fact that it is cloud based is a huge plus.
Cons:
Some features aren't implemented well, and there is a lot of customization needed to make the service workable. It works out of the box, just may not be exactly what you need.

Reasons for choosing Jane

Straightforward pricing, install/setup was as simple as possible, great contract, customer service and flexibility of the product.

Reasons for switching to Jane

horrible customer service, high fees, frequent crashes, server based, not intuitive.

Vendor Response

It’s great to hear that Jane has been straightforward to set up and that insurance billing and client booking have been smooth in your experience. Your feedback about customization is really helpful, and we’d love to learn more about which features you’d like to see improved. Jane for the EHR win!

Pros:
Jane has so many amazing features! First of all, it is super easy to use with a very intuitive user interface which makes training staff a breeze. I absolutely love the online booking site and how easy it is for patients to schedule and management their appointment times and type. It also makes notes and documentation processes easy on the clinicians. All this for a very reasonable monthly fee based on the number of providers at the clinic!
Cons:
The insurance billing was a little cumbersome, but we have since transitioned to a cash-based clinic model, which has completely alleviated this pain point.

Reasons for choosing Jane

The features were much better. The user interface was incredibly intuitive. Plus, a couple of my colleagues highly recommended it.

Reasons for switching to Jane

I was sick of the server-based EHR system and charting was quite slow and cumbersome.

Vendor Response

Zach, thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review! It means so much to us to be part of your practice. I’m so glad to hear that Jane’s intuitive design and online booking have been helpful for both your team and your patients, and that our integrations are saving you time and effort. I also really appreciate you passing along your experience with insurance billing. I know you’ve since moved to cash-based, but if you’re ever open to sharing more direct feedback, our inbox is always open :) We’re so glad you made the switch and that Jane has been such a great fit for your clinic.
