  • Pros

  • I like the ability to learn as needed with Kareo university and ease of use for our team. We love the automated reminders and the ability the send messages with the software.
  • Very user friendly- 10 stars. I would recommend kareo to anyone looking for an awesome software.
  • I love many features in Kareo. I find the real time eligibility and ability to send auto claims electronically with attachments is the most useful to my practice on a daily basis.
  • Cons

  • The tele medicine is the worst department, their support team is slow and arrogant, and there are a lot of technical issues which lead to lost patient appointments and it affects clinical care.
  • Kareo will say they are fixing issues or updating functionality, but the fixes are generally meaningless and the updates are mostly ineffectual. Customer support is also terrible.
  • Disappointed, will be switching as soon as my contract is up (or sooner if I am losing patients).

  • Overall great system for the price. We chose to stay with them when it went from free to subscription because it was so user friendly and the cost affordable.
  • Cloud based and universally accessible, easy to use. Superb customer service, administrators are responsive to providers' requests.
  • Once I did become familiar with the "layers" I was able to move through the EHR quickly and easily. The Templates were very helpful, especially the ability to share with other users on the EHR.
  • Cons

  • No technical support, no advise, no education, very poor coding system, not ideal for billing, no built in system for prior authorization.
  • I tried to cancel my subscription within 25 days of signing up with them and they said NO. They are dishonest and will hold you to this even if you are completely unhappy with their product.
  • The mobile version is also really terrible, but very rarely used so not a big deal. I also HATE that they are not integrated with anyone other than Updox for a patient communication platform.
