The Medfusion Patient Portal has been an extremely useful tool to use in our practice.

Well, it helped us achieve Meaningful use and now MIPS. It keeps us HIPPA compliant when we need to send clinical information to our patients, it streamlines refill requests (relieving telephone volume).

Pros

The Patient portal is an extremely useful tool for the patients, doctors & staff. It has also contributed to us meeting Meaningful Use & now MIPS. Patients can request refills to nurse, ask general questions to staff and more. We can send clinical notes & lab reports automatically or on demand and it is HIPPA compliant . We also use it for sending email blasts to our patients with updates on our practice and even urgent office closure. It works hand & hand with our EMR system. Great tool.

Terrible patient portal compared to others

Need to know that a request was received and physician office will respond within a 24 hour period. I.e. send an email back that it was sent and accepted.

Pros

Able to log in and hopefully see information, and documents. Sadly they are never there when you want to view.

Cons

Limited subject line, and needs better flow of reviewing records. Should have more characters for subject. Have to put in message

I do not recommend this Patient Portal keep looking

My experience has been deeply disappointing with this company. They are not forthcoming with information or communication regarding this portal and its overall functionality. They have been difficult to work with and have refused to compromise with issues that have come up. I am deeply dissatisfied and an counting the days until my contract is fulfilled.

Pros

Initially ease of use and customer service in the beginning was excellent

Cons

Communication to their customers is severely lacking. My experience since Nexgen purchased them is their customer service has suffered and their ability to empathize and assist the small practices has taken a sharp downturn. They seem to be not be at all interested in doing what is best for the customer to ensure that everyone is happy and successful at the end of the day. Their many promises have been unfulfilled with negative effects on our practice as a whole. Counting my days until the contract is fulfilled.

Reasons for Choosing Medfusion

The were the best at the time which was approximately 8 years ago but have gone steadily downhill since then.

Terrible Customer Service

I would not recommend working with this company. They were a good company when they first started but it has been downhill ever since and seems to be getting worse

Pros

We have a patient portal and we have had one for some time. The price was better compared to other companies.

Cons

Customer Service is never available and it is difficult to contact anyone. The forms are not very attractive either.
