Medios EHR Software


 

Medios EHR is a web-based system that facilitates access to patient records through a browser on a number of different web-enabled devices. Included in the system are communication portals for patients and partners, which allow medical professionals to contact patients and third-party providers. The Patient Portal has specific functions for appointment requests, updates for allergies and medications, and other necessities. 

Medios EHR is a fit for many different practice sizes and can serve the needs of a range of medical specialties. The system is routinely updated to meet industry and government compliance. Their open platform interfaces with third-party system applications for increased customization. 

Medios EHR’s integrated “Meaningful Use” dashboard can keep track of a medical practice’s compliance with ONC Standards. In addition, a workflow module monitors patient progress throughout treatment. The software’s document management system receives incoming faxes and lab results directly, organizing documentation. Medios EHR’s monthly subscription fee includes unlimited live technical support.

DO NOT USE THIS EMR SOFTWARE. The basis of all businesses is customer service and resolutions to the services that are being offered.
This company is by far the worst there is in customer service. Your expectancy criteria must be very very low not to be disappointed. Sure, they are courteous but they always place you on the back burner and nothing (nothing at all) gets resolved.

Pros

You are able review the patients' charts on a single click.
Completes EMR requirements.
I truly do not have any Pros to point out.

Cons

Missing a number of day-to-day figures.
Horrible customer service.
Issues never get resolved.
Not user friendly.

Difficulty in changing the organic structure of reports including clinical notes.

Billing piece and postings was a problem for our billing staff. They complained all the time.

Recommendations

Try to get another software that is more mature in age and has gone through some organic growth.
There are too many basic inherent flaw in the software.
There is a serious shortage of manpower for people running this company. There is technically no IT support as such.

I like how they train and support their product. Medios is backed by real people who care. We have gotten my practice to a point of efficiency that I never thought possible. My notes have been customized for me, which means I go home on time. Since being trained with Medios, I have never had to stay late doing notes.

I do wish they were local to me. It's not that they haven't serviced my office with a concierge-like service; I just like to deal with local companies.

Recommendations

Take a leap of faith and only deal with a company that cares. Contracts are only as good as the people behind them, and I promise you these are the best. Medios held my hand the entire way and went to great lengths to make sure I was taken care of.

Medios EHR is easy to use and understand. I can finish notes with just a few clicks. On top of that, it is the most adaptable system I have ever used. They also have great support and will go beyond all normal means to make your practice happy.

I just wish I had found them earlier. They've gone out of their way to make my office happy; there's nothing bad I can say.

Recommendations

Give Medios a try. Great software aside, their staff goes out of their way to make sure your needs are met. Realistically, there is probably other software out there that can meet your basic needs, but I will assure you from my experience, there is no company that has service like these guys.

For starters, their entire operation is in the US. Nothing is outsourced. Aside from the obvious reasons why that's important, it's really amazing what they can do with the software. They integrate with different labs and machines that my other EHR failed at. By the way, they did all that for free for me. They have never left me alone throughout my time with them (two years) and have given me complete VIP access, even though I'm a smaller single physician practice. This system has made my life easier; everyone in the office has more time. Their tools/features make everything so simple. I know very little about Meaningful Use, but with Medios and their support, I was able to attest. Not only was I able to attest, but their staff helped me out every single step of the way. These people have really earned my respect, and that's not something I throw around lightly.

The price is really fair, and it's a really good system. They've done so much for me, there's really nothing I can complain about.

Recommendations

Pricing isn't everything. Don't try and save $50 or $100 and take ten steps backwards with a bad system. Medios is priced right in the middle, and they include all of their features in a flat price. For the amount of time and money this system has saved me, I would gladly pay double the monthly fee. The system more than paid for itself in two months! There's a quality factor here that I didn't see elsewhere. Couple that with their human touch where every client is a VIP, and you have one incredible company.

I'm the office manager of a medium-sized pain management organization. Medios is easy to use and is backed by great trainers and support. They go through a real implementation, and training is live and one-on-one. This is the only system we reviewed that does this. Everyone else skimps or relies on videos for instruction. During the implementation, they customized our templates. And this was real customization. Not just adding or removing a few items from a standard note. I was elected as the superuser and oversaw the entire implementation, so I have a good understanding of their process. It was like an exact science. Everything was planned out perfectly and handled with utmost care. All I can say is all three of our physicians are completely happy with Medios.

The only problem is that we didn't find them earlier. Here's the reality with this system: it's a really great EHR and has a great team behind it. It's hard to say you like something least when these guys did everything to make us happy. If there was an issue, it was typically very minor, and we always had resolution almost immediately.

Recommendations

There are so many companies out there. Do not waste your time with any company that does not offer 24/7 support, does not have US-based support, limits implementation, isn't Stage 2 certified, or does not put things in writing. Just use that basic list as a starter.

Its a great software that really works. This is my fifth EHR. Please trust me when I say that I know what I'm talking about. It's really easy to use, and their staff is top-notch. This is the only company I did a demo with whose sales, support, development, and everything is 100% US-based.

Not much. Like everything else in life, I'm sure there's room for improvement. But in all honesty, Medios is a really phenomenal product.

Recommendations

Don't be sold by price or a slick sales guy. In my last two EHRs, they flat out lied to get me to sign the contract. Pay attention to the details; make sure what your seeing in front of you is the real system and not some mock/play environment.

Everything about this vendor is great. We have used a few EHRs, and some have been unbearable. Medios is the only one I've used that has the entire package. It's truly phenomenal software (I'd even compare it to being as good as apple), along with phenomenal people to back it up and support it.

Everything. Everything. Just everything. The process started out with implementation, which was such a smooth, painless process. They guide and train you through everything. There's no fumbling around trying to figure things out. My implementor was a 10 out of 10. She was professional, intelligent, and even set us for Meaningful Use (which we already got back). There's a lot of thought and effort that went into building Medios. I've been really blown away by how easy it is and the way it has improved our practice.

Obviously, my recommendation is for Medios. I have referred 3 of my friends, and Medios has not let any of us down. All of those practices are really happy with it. They go above and beyond for you. They took care of stuff for me that I know no other company would have done.

Medios is a full practice EHR that runs our entire practice. The major plus is that it is so easy to use. Everyone on the staff (even the old guys) uses this system with ease. They took their time with me to customize the templates and everything works on my iPad/iPhoneG. This process really works! It works because their software is good, their employees are smart, and they genuinely care about the success of my practice. I cannot say enough good things about Medios and their employees.

I wish they were local; at least, I did at first. But there have not been any issues as far as support goes. If I need something at 1 AM, I just call in and can speak to someone in their office.

Recommendations

Learn from what we did. We did over a dozen demos and hours upon hours of research. The conclusion I came to was such: Medios outshined all the other systems I looked at.

I really love their ability to get things done. Even though we are on the opposite sides of the country, my implementation went super smooth. Regardless of what time I called or needed someone, someone was always there for me. Their support is not outsourced, either; even if you just call their main line, whoever answers really knows their stuff. On top of that, it's just a really excellent EHR. This company has the best of both worlds: a first class EHR with first class support.

What can I say that's bad? I'm happy happy with these my decision to be with IOS Health Systems.

Recommendations

Do your homework, and don't just pick the cheapest system. If you're serious about your practice, look into an EHR that has a real company structure backing it. An EHR is only as good as the company supporting it. Mandates, Rules, and Meaningful Use are constantly changing, and you need a company that's going to stay ahead of the curve, not just doing the minimum upkeep of being certified. Don't get too wrapped up with what "certified" means. Just because systems are certified, that does not make them equal in form or function. Systems that are total opposites can qualify for certification (I reviewed the process, and it's very open to interpretation as what constitutes certified). The more time I spend with IOS, the more I realize that they are a highly organized, professional, smooth-operating organization.

The EHR is really good. Their templates are really easy to use as well. They have stuff that I've never seen in other systems. I work approximately 40% quicker with Medios than I did my last system. The tools are really great, and they even assisted me with preparing for meaningful use. Talk about above and beyond!

Recommendations

Don't go out and see 100 demos like I did. It all just gets muddy with a bunch of systems that shouldn't have been considered. There are a lot of us out here using Medios. There's really no need to look elsewhere.

I'm not a fan of EHRs in general. I have practiced for years on paper and that's how I liked it. I realized that it was inevitable, so I decided to start looking at systems. After searching for a while, I landed with Medios. What do I like best about them? They made my life easy. The overall experience, training, software, support, everything was just easy. That's what I like best.

An EHR is not just a computer program. You need support, service, and the ability for that EHR to grow. I'm sure there are cheap and free EHRs out there. You get what you pay for. Do not try and save a nickel to lose a dollar. That's exactly what you're doing with these cheap systems. Just think, "What's my time worth?" Medios took care of everything we needed at an exceptional price.

The customization was really key with my practice. My notes are quick and thorough. I have tried to make notes that work for me in other systems, and it just didn't work. Medios has that extra adaptability that makes it stand out from the others I've used. I work faster with Medios than I ever did with paper.

Quality Product and People. Their EHR has a lot of great features I haven't seen with other systems. Now, after using the system for 12 months, I can say all of these features work and work well. The system is really easy, but it's not too simplistic. We run our two-physician practice with no issues. It's greatly improved my quality of life.

Make sure the demo you're watching is in the actual EHR. Whatever you're told in sales, make sure you have it in writing. Remember the contract is a legally binding agreement; if a company won't put something in writing, it is for a reason and you should walk away. I had a few unique concerns about EHRs in general. Medios addressed all my concerns in writing on the contract, making me feel very comfortable. That's just the type of people they are. They always go one step further than needed. I'm really happy with them

I really like how the system is easy to use. Once you start using Medios, it just really makes sense. Very little training is needed to understand this system. Within about an hour of using it I felt like a pro. I was also very pleased that the staff at IOS customized the templates for me. I just had to tell them what I wanted, and they did the work.

I've been with Medios a little over a year, and I really don't feel like there are any areas that need major improvement.

Recommendations

I would really recommend checking Medios out. They have a personalized approach and teaching style that's just so incredibly effective at getting practices up and running. Never once did I feel rushed or left dissatisfied during the implementation process.

As a new practice, we were going through so many EHR demonstrations trying to find one that suited our practice the best. After my first demonstration with Medios, I realized how great the presentation and functionality of the system is. I was very impressed at first, and my interest only rose when I was able to use all the tools myself.

Recommendations

Trust me when I tell you finding the right EHR is not easy. I probably evaluated 6 EHR's and it was tiring. After a while all of them start to seem the same, but when I did a demo, I realized Medios has the perfect balance between appearance and functionality.

Unfortunately in this environment where MU is so important to attest, this software has major limitations in regards to certification. You cannot certify with this software.

Tried and sent numerous messages to the organization to cooperate but can get nothing accomplished. Labs are also not integrated.

We were so happy to finally find an EHR that fits in like the missing puzzle piece. I had done three demos with other companies that all seemed the same until I ran into Medios. At first I was hesitant to jump into EHR, but it was definitely the decision I needed to make. The staff at Medios is extremely professional and honest from the first call until the end. The system is really easy t to access and get comfortable with but still provides a lot of tools and good features for tech savvy people. With Medios what used to take me hours only takes me minutes.

My office is unique in that we have a mix of Urgent Care/family medicine. I was looking for a software that would provide me with templates that would cover all my types of services and allow me to take control over my practice. I had used a web based system before which failed miserably due to slowness and service issues. I had heard good things about Medios so I wanted to give them a try. After my initial demo I was hooked. It had everything I needed. The most important thing for me is that they created templates for each type of service I offer. I was not limited to boring and involved canned templates. My custom templates keep my documentation quick, clean, and accurate. I have significant more time to spend with my patients and much less of a pain when documenting which is really win-win.
My implementer was knowledgeable and I don't know how but she always had the answers to my questions. She never limited my training time or anything. Whenever I needed something I just called and within a reasonable time I would have my request taken care of. Im still new with the system, but so far Im really impressed with the entire package.

Our office is quite unique. We have four physicians, two are techies and two are not at all. We knew implementing an EHR would be tough. The first EHR we chose was seemed great and they offered us training and custom templates at no charge. We thought how could we lose. Well we lost, it was a disaster. The training was basically an hour with some handouts and videos. The "custom" templates where impossible to work with and had nowhere near the content of what we saw on our demo. So on we went and started the entire process all over again. My advice, don't overlook the implementation process, its key to successful EHR implementation. After seeing about half a dozen demos, Medios EHR caught our eye. We were delighted to see that they do in fact do all of their training by a live person and even better they do not limit the training hours. It was unlimited for our office. Our implementer M.O.(Im just using her initials) was a blessing. She was educated, professional, and Medios very well. Our implementation took approx. 4-5 weeks, which was impressive with our staff. M.O. customized the templates for each of the providers and these templates were not mickey mouse, they had content and were really easy to use. Moving on to our experience with the software. Its really easy to use. We have staff that find iphones difficult that are using medios with ease. So now our office is running smooth. Im not involved with the billing, but I will say our billing department has stated they are very happy with the Practice Management/billing part of Medios. So for the pas 8 months with Medios our office has been running smooth, the staff is happy, Im happier as a physician, and even our patients are feeling the benefit. I highly recommend this system to my colleagues and to anyone interested in cloud EHR.

This is really the best EHR I've used. Its so helpful to see templates that were created for me. Im actually done with my notes earlier than I was in the past. On average I spend about an hour less documenting every day. Thats how great Medios and my custom templates are.

The system is very easy and straightforward to use. The implementation process was smooth and painless and they customized my templates just the way I wanted them. We have been with Medios for a while now and everything has gone very well. Their customer support is really top notch. Everything went according to our plan. They transfered all the data...CORRECTLY. I have switched EHRs before and this was one of the biggest issues. Such a relief that they stuck to their word and made sure all my existing data was taken care of correctly. As far as the system, it is in the cloud and is really easy to use. Overall I would recommend this system to my colleagues and offices looking for a cloud based solution.

Easy to operate and train office. Our doctors are on-call nights and weekends, if they need help someone is always there. Although the adoption of the EHR was a challenge having support from experts made implementation painless. I have already recommended them to my colleagues.
