Pros/Cons
Pros
- Video sessions are great. The quality is pretty good and the option to share pdf docs through the browser is excellent.
- It has been a great solution during this COVID-19 pandemic to allow providers to continue serving the community and taking care of people who are in need.
- Mend tech team wonderful at making changes as we request them and finding solutions for alternate workflows. Great implementation process.
Cons
- It does not work well if the app is interrupted by an incoming call, you will have to log in and out. The voice function normally drops after being interrupted.
- There is too much valuable clinic time wasted in trying to troubleshoot Mend's technical problems.
- My providers are very frustrated and I am quite frankly tired of hearing about it. Please, I beg you look into upgrading your servers, software, or whatever you think would fix this issue.
Pros
- Very great experience and I love the user interface. A very affordable recommendable software.
- Updox is a great program and has worked beautifully with Practice Fusion. The ease of having faxes come in and be able to directly link to a patients chart is invaluable.
- I use this with amazing charts and it integrates perfectly. I am able to send HIPAA compliant messages to my patience.
Cons
- At first, setting this up is very confusing. You need to have assistance from the company in order to set this up with your printer or computer device.
- We have chronic errors, and delays in the importing of documents from Updox into our actual EMR.
- Since starting the message and call reminders of appointments my no shows have dropped to almost nothing now.
