Very happy with OptiMantra

Overall the experience was great. It was easy to get clients onboarded on the platform, and they have onboarding support, weekly office hours for questions, a big knowledge base, and support/ticketing system for support.

PROS

I have served as an external consultant for several practices implementing OptiMantra. The platform is really customizable - we've been able to set up individual intakes and charting templates, email and text templates, and calendar configurations for clients. OptiMantra also has a robust library of templates that we have been able to leverage to get clinics started. OptiMantra has e-prescribing, insurance billing, and integrations with tons of different labs, which has made it easy for practices to manage workflow and track everything centrally.

CONS

The OptiMantra team has been responsive and is routinely delivering new features and updates, so I have not had or heard of any major issues with the product.

A great EMR for NDs!

LOVE IT! Would highly recommend this EMR.

PROS

I love the customization of the software and the ability to share and use other templates. The insurance billing is so made simple to send off and keep track of. If there is an issue that comes up, the knowledge base page is helpful and if not the customer service is amazing; they are quick to respond and being so helpful to find a solution to the issue. I like how the software creates a link to add to your website for easy scheduling and then sends reminders either by email or text to eliminate "no shows". I would highly recommend this EMR! Looking forward to the other changes the Optimantra Team are creating and adding!! Thank you.

CONS

I tried the payment processing companies that have been integrated with Optimantra but did not like their customer service or fees, so using a card processing software that is not integrated. I wish more integrations with other card processing softwares with better rates were available to make checkout easier. Clients/patients sometimes come into the clinic to just buy inventory; therefore, I hope there was a faster way to checkout, create an invoice, and take payment. Making a superbill everytime has out been more time-consuming, and sometimes people buy who are not clients/patients but just want inventory products.

It seemed to work better for naturopathic doctors and pricing.

PROS

Syncing abilities to calendar and keeping track of herb formulas for patients

CONS

Ability to process payments within the software stopped working and couldn’t get it fixed again. Would like easier capabilities to get links for appointments and to easily duplicate emails and other settings.

The EPIC private practice software!

I honestly cannot say enough. The price is sooo much less than the inferior competition, and the competitive vendors. The quality is amazing, ease of use speaks for itself. I give it a 15/10!

PROS

This software is so intuitive it is literally plug-and-play. My 19 year old sons with NO medical knowledge were able to pick it up with little guidance and contribute to the family business and help with office work and data entry with almost no guidance! Compared to AMD which they tried to use and never could get the hang of it! It was so easy to port all of our chart info into from the "other EHR". We were billing claims within a week. It was truly Amazing! Customer service is ultra responsive and so helpful. I never wait on hold for hours, or wait days for an answer to an easy question and almost all the answers are in their self serve "knowledge base".

CONS

I am seriously struggling to find something I don't like about this software. I have recently used Cerner, EPIC, AdvancedMD, and now Optimantra. If I have to find one thing, it would be nit picking to say that the format of the dates on the claims are not consistent, some are yyyy/mm/dd and some are mm/dd/yyyy but I am not sure if that is the software or the claim format. Either way, maybe the software could be consistent and translate it on the backend if need be for the claim....

AdvancedMD forces you to build it all yourself to the checkbox. It takes months then it took them 6 weeks, 2 extra hours of time with an implementation specialist, and 12 more, literally 12 more phone calls to tech support in 4 weeks to be able to submit one claim to one insurance company. And after that, they couldn't tell me how to get the ERA/EDI filled out, with whom, how many etc.. And how would I get paid? the EFT was beyond their understanding. The server has major slow times that I would have to sit and wait for it to stop being unresponsive 4 times to refresh a screen and it was NOT on my end. That troubleshooting was done first and was not the issue. The quality is awful, so complicated, ULTRA expensive!!! for no value. It cost more than 800$/month and I didn't get paid the money owed to me because of their system failure!

Best EMR available

Working with their team is an exceptional experience. They put customer service above everything else. They are constantly improving and take everyone's suggestions.

PROS

It is very complete. It can do everything you need to run your entire clinic. You can use it for basic tasks like simple charting, booking and billing. And it will do a lot more if you want, the advanced tasks are also available like inventory control, programs, customizations, intake forms, formulations. You name it, this can do it from the most basic clinic functions to the most advanced if you need it to.

CONS

There is nothing I don't like about this software.

Clinic ND stopped support and discontinued service. The others didn't meet my needs and customer service was not to my expectations.

Optimantra has saved me time, money, and stress!

I couldn't be happier with the transition we made to OM! It's drastically reduced the amount of time I have to do small tasks so I can focus more on patient care. The team at OM has been amazing, always willing to help, and I recommend it often to other practitioners.

PROS

Ease of use, integrations are amazing, makes billing easier, cohesive, intelligently thought out, very customizable, and the customer support is incredible!

CONS

Billing a primary insurance with medicare as the secondary is a pain. Other than that I am very happy with it.

Ease of use, cost, integrations, and the demo really showed me how well this software was thought out.

Reasons for switching to OptiMantra

ChiroTouch fell behind the times during COVID, and their customer service went downhill. They also offered very little help for practitioners helping during COVID, and they are incredibly overpriced for underwhelming software. Needed something cloud based instead of server based for working from home, and with built in video chat. Overall, OM really fit the bill in all aspects.

Great Internet-Based Product

Working with Optimantra has been great! They have been very open to feature suggestions and have made many changes over the last three years we have been using it, and I am sure it will only get better and more intuitive.

PROS

Can access anywhere; very responsive to inquiries, feedback and tickets. Ease of use when scheduling and enrolling new users and practitioners. Integration is very easy and simple.

CONS

The reports are not as intuitive and sometimes difficult to navigate. The billing/claims has come a long way, however still some features are missing.

I've used it from a large clinic with lots of staff and employees to my near retirement solo practice with no employees and it is flexible in every situation

PROS

It is very flexible and intuitive about connecting things and offering different ways to do things and it is very simple in an elegant and efficient way and always innovating

wish it had a little bit better reports (data analysis)

Best EMR for Naturopathic Physicians

This EMR is so easy to use and customer service is Excellent. I can call or text and get an answer usually within an hour. Since I have started using OptiMantra many of the suggestion I would give to improve the charting experience have been implemented. It is like I have created my own EMR that works for me and my practitioners. They are constantly upgrading the system and they provide prompt trainings for them. They are excellent in their communication to me in regards to their updates.

PROS

What I like most about the software is that it is easy to use. The company has made great tutorials that are easy to understand and help implement. I like that I can customize my SOAP layout to my preferences. The ease of making protocol templates helps with reducing my charting time. The annotated images are great to being able to easily mark where I am doing injections and or pain areas for my patients. They implemented a symptom tracker within the SOAP that is invaluable in tracking my patients progress according to their symptoms. Overall It is an easy EMR to use and I have been a happy client for 4 years now.

CONS

Features that I wish were there is the lab integration. I wish I could have my lab results come directly into the charts so I don't have to type them all the time. This is an issue with the lab company I use and not Optimantra but each are speaking to each other and I am hopeful that one day this will be a feature available to me. Another feature is I wish I had a tab within the current chart when I am typing that I could hit to get the last chart's information for just that section for example the ROS. I wish they carried over and then I could remove or add new ones with just a click instead of going thru ALL of them again. I also wish they had a MOBILE version because so many of my patients use their phone to fill out the consent forms and intake forms. For me I would like to easily check my daily schedule on my phone with an APP.

Reasons for switching to OptiMantra

It was too hard and cost way too much for me at the time as I was a new graduate. I had a difficult time learning and using their system. I couldn't get my fax system to integrate. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was there for me and quickly got my EMR system up and going. They were wonderful in helping getting my patients to populate over, my consents and templates. They were helpful with the new prescribing requirements and he patiently helped me get to where I could prescribe a controlled medicine easily while my colleagues with other EMR took several months to get there.

OptiMantra is Critical to My Business

With Optimantra, I am able to perform all the roles I need to run my business: administrator, provider, engagement director. I do it all--alone--thanks to OptiMantra

PROS

Optimantra offers all the features I need to run my online weight loss company by myself. From the scheduler, I am able to access patient charts, engage in a video conference, collect credit card payments, order and check labs. I feel that I am getting a significant value for my money. I can create charting templates, upload files from my computer, send and receive texts and emails to and from my clients. I can order labs and receive alerts when results are available. I can upload my clinic schedule on my website for online booking. I have been able to keep track of inventory, collect taxes on sales, email and print detailed receipts. There are so many other features I have not even learned to use yet. I like that there are training videos available for review, and that there are live training sessions weekly.

CONS

I think the most challenging aspect of using OptiMantra for me has been figuring out the Reports section.

The software was not user-friendly and it was more expensive. It did not offer important features such as video conferencing from the scheduler.

Great software for mental health

Software is really comprehensive - there is so much more depth than the other EMR tools I've tried. The team has been very helpful throughout the onboarding process and they offer daily office hours whenever I run into a question.

PROS

Configurability of the intake and charting sections allow me to customize based on the type of patient I'm seeing; robust treatment plans and patient portal enable me to share information with patients and remain HIPAA compliant; the tasks and CRM functionality help me engage patients and stay on top of follow-ups

CONS

The platform includes a lot of features so it took me a few days to figure out exactly how I wanted to set it up to suit my practice needs

Optimantra - Great Scheduling/EHR

Optimantra has automated the workflow in our office to the point that we can spend more time focusing on patient care and patient customer service. The support team at Optimantra is responsive and easily reached through their Feedback and Ticket features.

PROS

We liked the support we received even before we decided to purchase the software. We were impressed with it's ease of use, and the ability to quickly transition from our prior EHR to Optimantra. We were attracted to the fact that it was both a scheduling software and an EHR. We liked the visual layout of the screens, the ease at which both physicians and staff could learn the system, and the intuitive flow from one aspect of the software to the next. We liked all the features it provided(E-prescribing, integration with labs, reports, inventory, customizing the scheduler, etc...) The cost was also a benefit.

CONS

There are no cons that I can list at this time.

Great EHR/EMR Software for Integrative Health Practitioners

Amazing customer support and great quality software. I can run my entire practice on Optimantra, including telemedicine. I spend no time charting: everything is automated and charts are easy to navigate. What's more they are extremely open to feedback and willing to make the software better for their users---which means I'll never switch.

PROS

I love the charting, booking, calendar, email, billing features. Auto email reminders, intake forms and consent forms are automated, text reminders, Fullscript integration, makes charting a breeze. I spend NO TIME on charting.

CONS

I am very happy with this software! It could be more beautiful but I love how they're open to feedback and quick to make changes and improvements. The support is great.

Optimantra is excellent for our Acupuncture practice!

Overall Optimantra has been excellent to work with, we almost feel like we have helped write the software as problems arise! Opti responds quickly and works to resolve any issues.

PROS

Opti has specific chart notes set up for acupuncturists and other integrative doctors so it makes it less time consuming in recording each entry.

CONS

I would like to see less clicking of the mouse as we move through superbills, chart notes

I wanted something that was easier to update on auto, fast, and hopefully we can start using Opti for insurance billing.

PROS

OptiMantra offers extreme flexibility and many of the same features offered on more expensive EHR's.

CONS

Glitchy sometimes. When I need to check the State's database for scheduled meds a new window opens and I don't believe I can get back to the script without it closing out.

Great Software for a fair price

All in all it is a great software, especially for this price.

PROS

A big pro of this software is that it includes a lot of features like billing, inventory and even scheduling. It is as well inexpensive in comparison to other software in this category and the customer service of OptiMantra is amazing.

CONS

It would be nice if more features could be added.

It has all of the essential features for EMR software without all the bells and whistles, which makes it very user friendly.

CONS

We cannot sync with the lab companies we use to direct download reports or requisitions from their portal.

Optimantra has worked for us for 6 years

Optimantra has enabled us to add providers and improve our staff efficiency, financial and clinical flow.

PROS

Easy to use, excellent support, two customized modules for Intravenous nutrieint therapy and Regenerative Injection therapy

CONS

As our first EMR the learning curve took about 3 month four us to get adapted to Optimantra and also for us to adapt the EMR to our needs.

So far our experience has been great, The Customer service has been amazing and Heather has been a tremendous assistance.

Product has been easy to implement, Product has a range of uses for our multi faceted Clinic which was a big part of our decision making..

CONS

I feel there could be more options for templates for charting, it is missing templates and difficult to chart for such items as EKG's, VisionTest and other functional testing the is preformed in clinic.

Optimantra has it all!

My experience has been wonderful. I thought it was going to be much more stressful to integrate. I certainly was a little overwhelmed at first but I had great support from the company.

PROS

The charting and billing process. I am saving so much time. It is wonderful to have the ability to customize my charting for Osteopathy too.

CONS

Patients often complain about the health history/review of systems forms that it is too long. I like having the option to have patients input their credit card before an appointment but unfortunately in order to have that option it requires patients to input their credit card EVERY time they make an appt (does not save it and remember?) I wish that would change.

OptiMantra is very easy to use and keeps developing with the user's feedback. The template can be revised based on each practitioner's preference, so it is very useful for holistic practitioners.

CONS

Sometimes a software bug can happen but they seem to take care of it in a timely manner.

Great product

I started out with a program that was a lot more money and more work. Once I switched I was so glad. This has been a great experience

PROS

Price is awesome! The product is very easy to use and set up. If you need help the support team can help you get your charting the way you want it. It format the IV osmolarity for me so I don't need to second guess myself.

CONS

So far NONE, it's a great program to use. There is no perfect system but it by far does what I need
