When you first start out you think you only need the bare minimum of features, however, you quickly realise you need to much more of what is available. #### Cons some different levels of purchased use. Most businesses would need to be able to roster and bill for NDIS and have staff management. Anything to do with those things should be available for two top teers of purchase. Maybe SIL etc should be in the top level purchase. #### Reasons for choosing ShiftCare appeared to be more geared to NDIS industry and therefore more features important to our business #### Reasons for switching to ShiftCare required a better scheduling system that was not as complicated. #### Vendor response Thanks so much for the thoughtful review! No incentive was offered Extremely disappointing. I run a home care agency and was looking for reliable scheduling and client management software. ShiftCare sold a vision they couldn’t deliver. The product is unstable, support is unreliable, and the company’s integrity is questionable. I would strongly caution other agencies to look elsewhere. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 1/5 - Customer support: 1/5 - Functionality: 1/5 #### Pros The only positive was that the sales team seemed eager to help—at least before I paid the deposit. I heard from sales constantly leading up to contract signature. Shocker I know. #### Cons ShiftCare completely overpromised and underdelivered. The onboarding was confusing and poorly supported. They misrepresented having a working public API, and once I raised concerns, their communication dropped off. They even called my personal cell multiple times for payment before onboarding, but once issues appeared, they vanished. #### Reasons for choosing ShiftCare Sales people told me what i wanted to hear in terms of functionality and how easy it would be to switch. All lies. #### Reasons for switching to ShiftCare I wanted more current technology and a better UX. I have gone right back to Wellsky though. Its so much better than Shiftcare. Still a bit clunky there are a lot of features inside which could be tweaked which would improve the experience. Also the layout is a little old school. Not as modern as most tech platforms #### Cons NO APP FOR MANAGEMENT. There needs to be a dedicated App for IPhone that allows for simple rescheduling and booking of staff and managing of the business. The App is just focused at a staff level. And there is also no proper communication channel and viewer for clients to see. A strong focus should go towards such as you can tell it’s just a “patch job” that’s been included to make it seem like it has the function. So you really need to design an App for staff, an app for clients and an App for management. Customer service on the chat function and availability of people on there is fantastic. #### Cons Integration doesn't work as well as it could - it often drops things off. I still have to download and upload files to ensure integrity. Scheduling is easy with a good amount of customisability, allowing me to add a good amount of detail to shifts for workers. ShiftCare linking to Xero has been great for streamlining invoicing, which has saved plenty of admin time. I have not had any issues using the app yet after over 12 months. I am confident that if there were any issues with the app or any of the software that it would be solved quickly. The customer service has been very responsive, efficient and the staff have been friendly, helpful and their service has been above and beyond. #### Cons There are times that I have been unsure of how to complete something in the software or the app. However, there are plenty of resources that can be accessed on the ShiftCare website and on YouTube to support learning how to use the software. It's reasonably intuitive. #### Cons I have selected to receive only certain email notifications but receive all of them instead. I emailed the shiftcare team about this issue months ago and never received a reply. I would like an option for admin/service delivery to capture notes on clients, more like a CRM function. If we write shift notes against our admin shift, we can't attach a client name to put it on their profile. We are now using a separate program for this. The document upload button is at the bottom of the page and you always have to scroll down to find it - really annoying once you have a long list of documents. I can create new types of staff qualifications in the settings section, but I can't find how to add these qualifications to staff profiles. I would prefer all of the screens to just scroll down instead of having to click to the next page to view everything. For admin shifts, can you easily add in a lunch break without having to create a split shift?
