When you need customer service.

Started with practicefusion when they were free, then they wanted money for a system they hadn't changed so we left and went to 2 other EMRs, both of which were terrible because they either promised a lot and delivered very little, or had a great system but no idea what they were doing when it came to billing. So we did the demos of Strata, liked what we saw and decided to go with them. So far, I have ZERO complaints with BILLING. The actual technical side needs work as I mentioned above which makes me feel like the cost may ultimately be a reason to migrate to a different system.

PROS

100% US based billing, tech, and general support. They respond 24/7. Super fast and never has any outages compared to other EMRs I have used (which is a long list). Workflow is geared toward how things actually go in a clinical setting. Templates can be highly customized and most of the work is done for you already.

CONS

On-boarding needs work - takes a long time to setup the templates or figure out how to use them. Reports could be more robust. Would prefer the ability to query my data as I see fit. Love the idea of queueing intake docs for new patients in advance but the lack of being able to send them to the patient directly is a huge oversight, it falls short there. No check-in app. No integrated marketing. Expensive -- 7% of your billings -- kind of feels like it should deliver more for such a big chunk of the pie.
