And it saves employees time on having to go in person. - I think this a great service for basic information, refills if traveling, all the Doctors have been very friendly and helpful. - Particularly for non-urgent health issues, being a student with access to healthcare professionals practically is a great advantage. ### Most mentioned cons - I also called Customer Support immediately to figure out how to send the correct photos. That’s awesome and amazing! I also like that they have a quick response time. The app allows you to add photos if needed and you can even do a video chat with the doctor. #### Cons It takes a little effort to setup your account. My biggest irritation is when receiving calls from the doctor, it will come from an unlisted number. If your iPhone security is set to ignore calls from unlisted numbers it can seriously delay your call until you fix your settings. No incentive was offered Absolutely horrible I tried teladoc to get some advice and health help about an ongoing cough and congestion I was dealing with. The provider was dismissive, rude, and in quite a hurry. When I expressed concern that he wasn't quite understanding what I was coming on the call for, he said "do you want the prescriptions or not?" I said, I guess so, and she hung up the call. I am disturbed by the level of disrespect he showed me In turn, also the disrespect shown by the teladoc health team in general. I opened a complaint and requested a refund which they refused. To pay $89 for a 3 minute video call where you're ignored and dismissed is absolutely horrible. No incentive was offered I used Teladoc Health for a dermatology appointment and ran into significant issues with their platform and customer service. According to Teladoc’s policy, patients can send a follow-up message to their doctor within seven days, including additional questions or photos. When I tried to do this, the platform only allowed me to upload one photo, even though the initial submission had accepted multiple. In the follow-up message, I made it clear to the doctor that I was having trouble uploading the correct photos. I also called Customer Support immediately to figure out how to send the correct photos. While I was still on the phone with Support, the doctor closed my case, leaving me unable to provide the information needed for a proper diagnosis. Over the next several weeks I followed up multiple times with Teladoc. Support agents admitted the doctor was too hasty in closing the case, and told me my request would be escalated and that I would likely hear from a supervisor within a few days. No one ever contacted me. When I followed up again, my requests to either reopen the case with the doctor to get a correct diagnosis, to reschedule with another doctor at no charge, or to receive a refund were all denied. Teladoc also claimed they had emailed me updates, but no emails were ever received (I checked spam and junk). In the end, I paid $89 and never had the chance to get a meaningful medical opinion, and the Customer Service was truly disappointing. I have multiple devices to measure my blood pressure, and I have the data on my phone going back 8 years. The doctor said she couldn't prescribe a medication for the first time over Teladoc. I used it a couple times when I had a sinus infection and bladder infection. It was nice to be able to see the doctor without having to go to the doctor, and the copay was also less for Teledoc. The doctors asked me questions about my symptoms and were able to diagnose my problems over the phone. #### Cons I don't really enjoy talking on the phone. I called Teladoc representative and asked how I can get a year prescription and she told me to book a new doctor numerous times. I was doubtful, so I put a very clear request note in booking to give me a call only when a doctor can give me one year's prescription. The doctor who gave me a call had no idea about it, and he simply said he can't give me a year's prescription and hung up, and Teladoc is denying my refund request which is really ridiculous. There was no medical services from the doctor other than saying that he can't give me 1 yr's prescription and It was the most terrible experience I ever had.
