I am so glad we brought our practice into the 21st century with ZHealth EHR and billing software

If we have an issue I or my staff can create a ticket for service and it is usually addressed same day.

PROS

Our main initial driver was getting a software that allowed online scheduling. We chose zHealth for that and I like that I can complete my notes from anywhere and that I can see my schedule from my phone. Our biller can work remotely, so that helped me keep my biller who has worked for us for almost 20 years.

CONS

Switching softwares is never easy, but it was worth it to get rid of our previous server-based software. I realized there was no way forward for our previous software. I wanted a company who would keep up with technology modernization and zHealth has been consistently adding new options over the past 2 years.

Insurance billing was not doable for us with the Jane software.

Reasons for switching to zHealth

Clinic Pro is a server-based software and we were having frequent issues with accessibility and function. We wanted online scheduling and it was not possible with this older software.

Amazing Up to Date Software

Customer service is always on top with very little delay in response time. Change and updates easily obtained.

PROS

This software is extremely user friendly and easy to teach staff. The customization and constant updates are above and beyond any other software I looked into.

CONS

I have been using the system for a couple of years and can think of no cons. Any hiccups in the transition were corrected and addressed within a respectable time frame.

To many systems (WritePad, eThomas and Cloud Server) to old software with less access and customization options. zHealth was much more user friendly, up to date and saved us money.

Buyer Beware, do not sign the contract. It is all down hill from there. 6 months to Customize SOAP.

Terrible experience. Trying to switch to this product was a disaster and they don't care. I would never recommend this company. In my 23 years in practice I have been primarily with two companies prior to trying ZHealth. Timely support was lacking with Zhealth. They seem to be short staffed as they can't get anything done in a reasonable time frame, and because you can't customize yourself, you are sunk. Customizations were promised but non-existent. Once they get your money they neglect your needs as a client, because you have pre-paid and stuck in a contract.Read the other bad reviews. From my experience I believe they are accurate. I would not do business with this company. They did not care about me as a client.One time during a demo , on a shared screen I saw the salesman log into another client Doctors office without his knowledge. I asked about this, and how if I signed up with Zhealth that they would not access my site without my knowledge or consent each time they entered my site. Seeing this made me uneasy about office and patient privacy and confidentiality.After being with this company for 8-9 weeks I did not feel I could rely on them or trust them long term as I could not believe how poorly they supported their clients.

PROS

Nothing. They promise to fully customize the software SOAP notes and the patient digital intake was the enticing sales pitch. Then after you sign the contract and pay for a year up front you find out they don't really care if you are ever able to launch the software for your office, or get your customizations done in a timely manner. You end up paying for software that you can not use.

CONS

Do not sign the contract with this company.You can not customize this software yourself. You are fully dependent on the development team whom you can not contact directly. You have to go through support which involves opening a ticket. Then they tell you everything is on hold and they don't seem to have enough staff to get your work done. Customization's can take up to or possibly beyond six months to complete. The stock templates are terrible.If you leave Zhealth after a period of time you have no long term access to your previous patient notes and records in the system unless you agree to pay them $40 per month forever to access those records.

Reason for choosing zHealth

I decided to stay with Eclipse because it is a far better software and company than Zhealth. I have been using Eclipse for 8 years with no major issues, and support is always available.

Reasons for switching to zHealth

I was sold on the idea that Zhealth would be faster, automate more processes, was cloud based, and save time, but I was misled. It was going to be slower and less efficient than what I am currently using.Eclipse is a far better software. The company stands behind their product. Live support is always available, and the company has always been fair, ethical and timely in their treatment of me as a client. I am glad I did not cancel my Eclipse service prior to trying to transition to ZHealth.

Solid EHR

zHealth has made it easier for me to be a Doctor, rather than spending so much extra time on notes, I can now spend that time helping my patients.

PROS

Integrating zHealth into our practice was very straightforward. The customer support is top notch in getting everything set up just the way you like it.

CONS

I would like there to be options to customize without having to go through customer support.

Streamlined and easy to use software, great for solo practice and accessible anywhere

Since I'm a solo practitioner I needed an EHR software that would be able to handle much of the tasks that would normally require a front desk office staff member, such as patient scheduling and office check-in procedures. It's been very helpful that patients can schedule themselves online, through a link on my website, and can check themselves in as well once they arrive at my office. It's also been great to be able to log into the software from anywhere, using a tablet or even my phone, to check my patient schedule etc. whenever I need to be out of the office during office hours. I would say overall one of the best things about the software for me has been the ability to use it from anywhere and from any device and that doing so is relatively smooth. Since the software is straightforward and streamlined and doesn't have too much bloated and unnecessary features, it runs quite fast and you wouldn't even know that it was on online web-based system due to how quickly the pages load, as long as you have a decent internet connection.

PROS

The software is quite intuitive and easy to use if you have a decent grasp of general computing and how to navigate menus. In fact there was no training included at all when I first began using the system, because it isn't really needed as long as you are a little computer-savvy. The software has built-in patient online self scheduling which automatically populates and syncs with the patient schedule on my end, as well as the option to have the patient self check-in on a tablet when they arrive at my office, both very useful features since I'm a solo practitioner. I also like the ability to check my patient schedule from anywhere using my phone, since the system is web-based and syncs across all the devices I use to access it, whether I'm at the office, at home, or out and about. There are a good amount of options, clickable boxes, and pulldown menus to help streamline the note-taking process. The SOAP note sections by default have clickable fields that cover most of the musculoskeletal type issues that a patient may be experiencing as well as text boxes to type your own detailed notes as needed. I have not yet made use of the dictation feature so I cannot speak to how accurate that is. You also have the option to copy forward sections of a previous note into a new note, as applicable and warranted, and create custom templates for routinely used sections. Also the customer support has been quite helpful and quick to act whenever I did have issues with the software.

CONS

Some features are not easily customizable on the fly but may possibly be updated per your needs by contacting the support team and requesting changes be made. There were also initially some bugs and glitches in the software when I first began using it, but many of these have been addressed through updates and contacting the support staff, who have generally been quite responsive and helpful.

Reason for choosing zHealth

Based on my understanding at the time I was reviewing all these software products, ChiroTouch seemed like it was somewhat more convoluted than I needed, more expensive, and not cloud based so I would only be able to access the software from my office. Jane App would have been a good option for my needs but it didn't have a patient self check-in feature as far as I could tell.

zHealthEHR

Z Health was willing to listen and work with what was needed for my particular office. They can customize the program to each offices needs. There were some glitches when they first started, however Z Health was very professional to work with on the corrections.

PROS

I can dictate on this software, and it is very easy and simple to use. You don't have to go through dozens of screens to get to the final results. I also enter all of the charges while I am doing the soap and print out the HCFA at the same time. Everything is billed out the same day.

CONS

I would like to be able to list more chief complaints given by the patient. Six is not enough for an auto practice. I would like to see more detailed aging report.

Other programs were very difficult to use, I couldn't dictate directly into the patients notes, The billing and posting of payments was very difficult, and rebilling was also terrible. For the cost and ease of this program it out performs any other program I have used or looked at in the past.

Easy for Chiros

With a great EMR system and easy of scheduling I appreciate zHealth as well as the cost for a solo doctor. I like that the system has the ability to expand without crazy increase in costs.

PROS

Very easy to navigate inside the program. Easy to input new patients and send billing invoices or payments.

CONS

Not a fan of the integrated payment software.

Cost and easy to use in demo at a seminar vs the others.

Reasons for switching to zHealth

ChiroTouch was simply too expensive for a solo doctor and the features I used and needed.

Great Chiropractic Management Software at a Great Price

Overall I'm very pleased with the software and glad we switched. We've been with zHealth for less than a year and I've been impressed with the updates they have made and announced. Always trying to make things better for us.

PROS

It's a very easy to learn software system and the layout is great. Notes are easily taken and patient management is great. Overall, it was pretty easy to transfer from our old, server-based, software to zHealth. There are a lot of features we haven't even started using yet, but are there if we need them.

CONS

A couple of things I don't like about this software;1. You can't customize your own SOAP notes in-office. It has to be done by one of the team members. BUT, they just announced that their highly anticipated Self-Service SOAP Notes Builder where you can build your own notes by yourself. 2. You can't send blast emails out to patients to notify of a closure, holiday or whatever. You can however send blast text messages, but with a fee.

Is zHealth right for you?

Overall we are very pleased with zHealth and would recommend it.

PROS

The zHealth on-line software makes running an office very simple and straight forward. From scheduling, to check in, chart notes, collection and billing, all runs efficiently. If I am out off the office and need to check something on a patient's chart I can pull it up on my phone.

CONS

Because the chart notes need to be personalized for your industry and your practice, setting up the software is challenging. You cannot make changes to the wording or add phrases as your needs change. It would be great if you could make the changes you need without having to have someone at the company do it.

Good Product for Chiros

zHealth for Multiple Services!

Service and communication is fast and usually only takes up to 2-3 days, if not same day!

PROS

I love that a lot of my notes are automated with check marks and drop downs. The software easily puts together a narrative even if you have to type some of your elevation into your notes.

CONS

What I like least about this software is that it doesn't have a time stamp and that they do not offer medical documentation/HIPPA compliance officers to make sure all note taking is being done properly.

Welcomed Switch

I’ve solved my patient reminder calls. Simplified and quickened my note taking The self checkin has decreased the immediate need for a Front Desk The online scheduling is a wonderful addition that makes life grand.

PROS

The customer service and the timing of it all got me to switch. Price is great and the features are easy to use. It is customizable and I really appreciate that.

CONS

They are a growing company so there are suggestions that need to be made, however, they are more than willing to listen to improve their product.

Could be good

If I was ONLY cash based this wouldn't be too bad, but I still don't think it's ALL IN ONE, you will have to keep track of things outside of the software, so it's NOT all in one.

PROS

Customer service was decent to get set up, then to help with claims that were getting rejected to iron out the details, check in and check out was great, which is the main reason I signed up with Zhealth.

CONS

Once I got into it I realized there is no way to track if I have billed a patient their balance, if a claim was sent and when (printed claims- primary or secondary), it was always telling me to send claims when I KNOW I had already sent those, so they either had to get sent 3-4 times to clear the system, or I had to keep paper notes of ones I sent. By the time I quit using Zhealth I had 5 paper lists of things I had to keep track of. It was so much more work than I previously had which had initially prompted a change. I also hated the statement. It's no joke a page and a half to collect one $10 copay. Super embarrassing and patients don't understand it. Also they won't let you out of your contract after you realize it doesn't work. I paid $300 to start (never got custom notes done because I didn't get that far... which is what they say the $300 is for) and now I am still paying monthly fees and I'm not using it anymore. I even gave them notice to stop billing but they won't stop because of the contract. I wish I had taken the bad reviews more seriously. Use something else.

Amazing Software

Since day one Zhealth has been a great option for our practice necessities, and the customer services is A+ always helpful, very knowledgeable and they always answer my question and they are incredible professional.

Easy Set up, All in one, amazing features and many add-on options

Deleting or edit patients, if I have to change their insurance. Working with different locations an different Chiropractors.
