Pros/Cons
Pros
- It is very user friendly and is ready to go, straight out of the box. Customer Support has been wonderful to deal with and truly care about your concerns.
- For all that you get It's great software at a great price. It has all the bells and whistles you would need to have a successful online business.
- I've just signed up and very excited about the onboarding process and getting all set up and start learning all the tips and tricks of this brilliant software.
Cons
- Just frustrating knowing that something IS possible but costly, rather than knowing that something is not possible.
- I am not that knowledgeable in programming languages and I'm finding it difficult to go in and make some of the changes I need to make. The term 'widget' is also misleading.
- We had been unsure about the cost/value proposition but now find our concerns were unnecessary.
Pros
- DonorView offers a comprehensive platform with integrated functionality to capture donor data from gifts to events to email marketing. Great value for the cost and excellent customer service.
- Our experience has been amazing. The support that everyone at DV gives to their clients is amazing and 100000000% better than what we received with the other software we were using.
- Being able to keep credit cards on file and charge them over the phone has been amazing during Covid. The customer service and help in our transition to this software was great.
Cons
- We had become increasingly frustrated with out previous platform in terms of errors, poor customer service and increasing costs. We've experienced the exact opposite with DonorView.
- This is a disaster if you are trying to steward donors (and ones are left out). I have to login twice each time when I start.
- I believe they do have a feature now where you can prearrange and pay to have someone available to assist in an emergency, but it is not standard.
