Pros/Cons
Pros
- Reliable, Flexible and Attractive is the best way to describe our experience with DonorView.
- DonorView offers a comprehensive platform with integrated functionality to capture donor data from gifts to events to email marketing. Great value for the cost and excellent customer service.
- Our experience has been amazing. The support that everyone at DV gives to their clients is amazing and 100000000% better than what we received with the other software we were using.
Cons
- We had become increasingly frustrated with out previous platform in terms of errors, poor customer service and increasing costs. We've experienced the exact opposite with DonorView.
- This is a disaster if you are trying to steward donors (and ones are left out). I have to login twice each time when I start.
- I believe they do have a feature now where you can prearrange and pay to have someone available to assist in an emergency, but it is not standard.
Pros
- The customer service is great. And the fact that there is no overhead price for organizations is amazing.
- I love this platform and rave about it to everyone I talk to. Well designed, continually improving, and excellent customer service & easy to use.
- I have had a very positive experience with Givebutter. The free training, implementation, and tech support has been superb.
Cons
- It is less intuitive to edit personal information and I got confused about managing different campaigns, and how to direct people specifically one campaign.
- It was a little difficult for me to navigate the butter ambassador website.
- It's definitely the more feasible choice to have it turned on, but beware if your donors don't notice it, they might come back to you very unhappy.
