  • Pros

  • DonorView offers a comprehensive platform with integrated functionality to capture donor data from gifts to events to email marketing. Great value for the cost and excellent customer service.
  • Our experience has been amazing. The support that everyone at DV gives to their clients is amazing and 100000000% better than what we received with the other software we were using.
  • Being able to keep credit cards on file and charge them over the phone has been amazing during Covid. The customer service and help in our transition to this software was great.
  • Cons

  • We had become increasingly frustrated with out previous platform in terms of errors, poor customer service and increasing costs. We've experienced the exact opposite with DonorView.
  • This is a disaster if you are trying to steward donors (and ones are left out). I have to login twice each time when I start.
  • I believe they do have a feature now where you can prearrange and pay to have someone available to assist in an emergency, but it is not standard.

  • I love the compliments I receive from my clients because the ease of use and all the information I can provide to better prepare clients for their appointments.
  • Like I mentioned before they have such amazing support, and training videos, and how to articles. It's incredibly user friendly.
  • They continue to update and improve it all the time, and have very good live customer service, which is so important when there is an issue that needs immediate attention.
  • Cons

  • Sometimes the card reader doesn't connect which is really frustrating because then I have to enter the credit card information by hand and get charged more. That's extremely frustrating.
  • I spend countless hours a month combing the system for these errors and it makes our company look incompetent to our customers.
  • Sometimes it's difficult to find what I'm looking for. That can be frustrating when I'm with a client.
