Edirectory seemed to be best choice among any other choices designed for an enterprise scale directory software implementation. The product is highly customizable, based on open-stack, packaged with excellent guides (online, offline, videos etc) and support team (available round the clock ) to listen your voice and dealing with that in a highly professional manner. The development team who supported our customization request was very professional and flexiable. We had a number of issues (e.g. different browsers i.e. Edge bahaving differently than other browswers and sometimes showing warning messages) during our inital setup however they were always there to help sorting out these issues. Very much impressed. The technical architecture of the product seems quite robust offering better performance attained through use of latest technology standards such as elasticsearch and caching techniques. Highly recommended product and it offers a package of various custom modules as well targeted to solve specific chllanges. We are very keen to establish a long term business relationship with the team. Highly recommended.

eDirectory had all the key things I was looking for. Core feature set we need. Ease of use. The page and listing template editors are especially nice. The customer service has been exceptional. They attended to every need promptly and friendly. There were a few things that we needed urgently and they are able to do that with customizations at a reasonable cost.

Still has some development needed on the back end user features. Needs some more editable pages and widgets in their customization tools. Still was way ahead of the competitors we reviewed.

Giant waste of time. I would say look elsewhere. Unfortunately there aren't many options for this type of product so good luck.

What worked was fine. The UI is clearly outdated and some of the admin tools appear to be from the 1990s, but aside from the obvious aging, most of it still works.

There are many bugs and breaks in the platform. Charts in the client portal are broken and clearly aren't used by anyone. On the surface everything seems okay, but once you start digging in you find completely missing sections, images not showing up, inconsistent fonts, etc. And good luck trying to style things yourself. The CSS Editor literally looks like it's from maybe 1998. They don't include template classes for the pages so you can't fix the mistakes that are built into the platform yourself even if you are a developer. This is likely intentional. Once you get invested like I did you really don't to abandon all the work you did so they hope you buy the broken product and scram at this point. Customer service is fast, but the developers aren't very savvy. On one bug I was asked a bunch of irrelevant questions and then they asked me what version of MacOS I'm using, which obviously had nothing to do with the bug. They were likely trying to find a reason to ignore the bug report. I opened up my Windows machine and bamn the bug was right there. So the operating system had nothing to do with it or not. It's hard to tell whether they're just not good, or they're unethical. One of the two.

I have a very successful site built using eDirectory from day one, beginning back in June 2007. I am happy with the system and would recommend it rather than building a system from scratch which is very costly and takes a lot of time. Nor would I penny pinch with a cheaper system that would not be as reliable and not have the features you will want.

This is really a comprehensive system with many optional modules. A major benefit in my opinion is the extraordinary internal linking throughout the directory, which from an SEO standpoint is wonderful. And the internal links are automatic. Also the ability to easily add as many categories, and levels of sub-categories helps in displaying the items in your directory, plus gives many more pages to be indexed by the search engines. Cost wise this is the system to get - there is value in this product.

I have had several customization jobs completed over the years and most have been very satisfactory and some even excellent but you do get different teams working on these over the years and some are not as good as others. However all work has been done satisfactorily.

eDirectory has helped us through the entire process of setting up our online directory. From the initial sales consultation, to demonstrations, to customer support - the entire process has been a breeze. The availability of customizations for the software by the eDirectory team takes the burden off our own technology department and has made the move to their platform easy and cost effective. I'm excited to see how we can expand our use of this system.

I wish that I had a little bit more control over the visibility and movement of different components on the listing page. While so much of the website is customizable, it seems like certain areas necessitate an ordered customization even though they seem like simple show/hide fixes.

Well, I just got the software to use; haven't touched it yet. If I don't place a comment within 24 hours of receiving this email, I won't get a 100 dollar credit towards training, so there you go. My questions were answered, and it was obvious that the sales person who helped me, mastered the software's capabilities a while ago. My only recommendation would be that they take a little more time to understand the customer's business model, and contour their demo around how the software can support it. Otherwise, why not just make a video of the software's features, and leave it there. Though the software is "out of the box", the customers business model may not be. But I was very impressed with everything I saw in the demo, the sales person was great, and I'm excited to move forward and create my directory.

All the features and especially the cloud hosted service. This removes sys admin burden from me and allows me to focus on the business side of things.

Pros In the past I have dealt with other directory scripts, eDirectory is the most professional directory script which covers all the areas of client's expectations. I liked the mobile app building option and which was the single most compelling feature of eDirectory helped me to decide. Cons Wow! the prohibitively high price was the stumbling block for years! at a fraction of this cost we can get other php directory scripts if you can compromise on some of the features. Final Word If your directory project is a hobby project there are other good scripts available. But if ever you decide to make your project a serious one (and start making real money$$$!!) go for the eDirectory by arcasolutions

Only used demo site so far. Seems to have an abundance of good functionality. Very well thought out platform. Good interface for both admin and users and those who want to add or claim a profile. Search function seems effective. Particularly keen in my case for an effective search by location feature. Seems to work well so far. Graphic design good and very pleasing to look at. Excited by the fully responsive site feature, mobile app and by robust SEO integrated throughout the site. So far no cons. Will know more as I start to implement my list on the platform. Very happy to feedback at any time. Great customer service too.

If I could give them zero starts I would and next steps for me is to file with better business bureau and I am filing a complaint against the company for fraud. I will do whatever I can to fight this ridiculous company and I will use all my social media influencers to also let the world know the scam they run. If they had any business acumen and any type of integrity they would have zero problem issuing a refund for a product that doesn’t work. However, when you scam people the only thing you can do is hold their money because you know they won’t come back.

What I like about this software is they have a very flashy and fake website that leads you to believe you can obtain an affordable directory solution.

The company is a complete scam and they don’t offer refunds unless you cancel within 48 hours. This is impossible to determine if their product works or not and they scam you by thinking to can use it for multiple purposes. When you try to get a refund they push you to several different “phony” employees and pretend they care, but give you a million reasons they can’t offer a refund. They don’t stand behind anything instead they offer you solutions to pay even more money to allow them to help you use their worthless software.

I would not waste time or money with this shady company! Very disgusted with the outcome and waste of time and resources.

There is nothing that I like about this product

The customer support is lacking-almost non existent. They did not provide any fixes and when we had to reach out to the salesman, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], to get any follow up. The program is broke in several ways and if you can't fix it you have wasted your money. The simplest things like the search feature doesn't even work! When we finally had enough and requested a refund they denied it and also admitted in an email that the reason they have lacking support is due to COVID, but sorry tough luck!

Zero. It nearly sunk our business trying to get it to work.

The people who tried helping us in Brazil where they outsource to. The initial demo of the software was great. But then it all went down hill.

So many bugs and problems.

I have compared many directory sites and software ... including Brilliant Directories. I find eDirectory more thorough, more up to date (software wise), and more robust. I am especially pleased with being able to accept advertising within each geo-market. This was critical to revenue generation. Also my users can upload up to 20 photos in their showcase. That was also a selling feature. The feature list was quite helpful and organized. It appeared that your dev team had worked hard to include meaningful features, as if you knew what I needed.

The software is great and easy to navigate. I have only used it now for about 2 days and what I have done so far looks good. This is all with out asking any questions to the eDirectory training. There are a few things that I have not been able to change modify on the site which I would like to do but I'm unsure if that is restrictions of the software or if I haven't been able to find those particular settings yet. So far I'm loving it :)

First thanks to Darvin and team for being very patient in answering all our questions... We have just purchased the license for the eDirectory taking benefit of the current tax season offer. So far the experience is good.. The only directory i could find in market with elastic search, sure this guys know what they are doing....

I like that everything is very self explanatory on the design of the website and app. It is also has a very "clean and neat look" it is very easy to use. I received help from Darvin who was very helpful. The only negative was the time delay however Darvin did his best to reply even at ridiculous hours.

I was looking a software or template to start an online directory and after a thorough search on web, finally settled on edirectory. Most important part for me was that it only provides an easy to use website I also get mobile apps from the very beginning which is must in today's world.
