Our experience has been excellent. We implemented the solution from a non-existent/incomplete spreadsheet based approach previously and we know with a high degree of certainty who our members are, the membership they possess and whether any subscriptions are in arrears etc. The degree of control the solution has given us has enabled us to grow the club and make informed investment decisions in assets for the club. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros Highly modular, flexible solution for sports or other club management that worked for us right out of the box pretty much. Outstanding technical support #### Cons Effort is required for building custom pages or club sections but that's no different for any customisable solutions that a club may want. A small degree of technical skill is helpful in using the tools, clarity of what you are trying to achieve and a determination to achieve that is far more important. #### Reasons for choosing myClubhouse Similar pricing for non advertising based versions but a far greater degree of modules available in myClubhouse and customisability at the time we looked at these solutions. #### Vendor response Dear Calum, Thank you very much for taking the time to review us. Whilst I look at it and use it, a lot of members don’t , because mostly people find it difficult to join and pay for events. I don’t find it particularly user friendly. Also the whole years events should be on the events page and they are not, so people don’t look. Sailing events are available but most people still use their handbooks! There is no way for members to communicate with each other on the website, e.g to ask for crew #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 2/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros It’s lay out is good. I selected myClubhouse after doing a vast amount of research into various online membership solutions. It was definitely the most sensibly priced, and the fact that it can serve as your full organisation website also is a huge plus. We are now effectively managing our whole club via the website and its functions. The vendor support team are just amazing. Response times are sometimes almost instant, even at odd times of day, and they are very willing to help with any problem you have - even if it was self inflicted! #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros - Simple to understand and implement (you do not need to be an IT person). - Intuitive for end users. - Great support from vendor - Value for money #### Cons None really identified yet. I sometimes feel that I am limited in customisation options - but that's what keeps this simple and friendly to use. #### Reasons for choosing myClubhouse We saw some examples of other sports clubs using it, and got in touch with them directly (not via vendor) to get honest views. It was overwhelmingly positive. That endorsement sealed the deal for us. And to be frank, the costs are very reasonable so it wasn't hard to justify (we are non-profit), whereas some other options seemed quite pricey. #### Reasons for switching to myClubhouse We lacked the technical skills to achieve via wordpress plugins what we can achieve via myClubhouse, and wouldn't have had support in the way we needed it. #### Vendor response Dear Ross, Many thanks for your review, it's great to hear how happy you are. Like best: as a market researcher in my other life..I like the logic and filtering functionality to drill down for information or interrogate the system. #### Cons Because it wasn't written specifically for our sport there are challenges in the "fit". It is restricted on terms of multiple costs for a single facility and shared payment. We are a multi-sport club (1500 members) with complicated family and group membership requirements. We have a fairly complex sports membership 'mix and match' capability that operates over different seasonal periods each year. Using myClubhouse we have implemented all of these requirements accepting payment be Card, DD and cheque/cash. Moving from a home-grown system, we have been delighted by the logical, thoughtful support we have received from myClubhouse with very practical 'How to' Teams sessions, and written instruction documents to cover mass DD transfer from our existing supplier. We're now entering our second year of use, planning to extend the users to our sport section leaders to give them contact and event management capabilities they simply didn't have before. It has every feature that you could think of ... and many that you have not thought of. We use it for pretty basic functions and have not got into all the details (yet). Best bit - friendly and amazing support - always on hand to help you - quick and friendly. #### Cons I did find it a little hard to get my head around it - always the case with new software - and as this is only a 'part time' thing for me (volunteer members club) the learning curve was as expected. We are delighted you like all the features we offer. myClubhouse is very much customer-driven so all those features you hadn't thought of were probably requested by one or more customers! We do appreciate that due to the level of detail in the system, it can take a while for new customers (on the administrator side) to get to know it. This is something we are actively addressing e.g. by offering Simple and Advanced options on some features and we will also be working on some 'Getting Started' training videos. In the meantime we always encourage any new client (even on a free trial) to book in with us for a live online demo to get them up and running as quickly as possible.
