About Praxis EMR

Praxis is an artificial intelligence (AI) based EMR/EHR that has no cumbersome templates. Templates slow charting down, impede medical quality, and hurt usability. Instead, Praxis utilizes AI that learns from its user. Physicians chart fast and easy while saving hours each day. The Praxis EHR system is template-free, instead utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) that learns the way each physician operates and adapts to a user’s individual needs. Best EMR for the price and speed.

It's the perfect size company so they're eager to please and our input is valued. Not so big they don't care.

Pros:

Customizability is my top priority because I do things differently most of the time. Note taking is much speedier than a traditional template system and also reminds me of what I'm looking for. My brain is literally in this program.

Cons:

Very difficult to find one because they are so reactive to our needs. The next phase of AI integration is going to work like I hoped it would so I am pumped.

Note it was not the one I selected above. It was WAITING ROOM SOLUTIONS. Took forever to complete a note and I wanted my life back.

I have been a loyal customer for about 16 years. Pleased with overall performance of this EHR. It just keeps on getting better and better.

Pros:

The logic of the concept processor which allows me to build my assessments based on the way that I think. It helps me take better care of my patients. Customer service is excellent. I have spoken to the [sensitive content hidden] many times and he listened to my input. Price is competitive for an EHR.

Cons:

I wish it had AI embedded in it and they are currently working on it and I can't wait for it to come out to streamline my charting.

I liked the idea of the Concept Processor allowing doctors to build on assessments so it prepopulates prescriptions, orders, etc for each diagnosis making it easier to take care of patients.

Praxis, EMR for physicians

Gets better with time, it self learns and improves as new information becomes available. Changing protocols, and professional requirements gets incorporated. You are incharge. You change as required not waiting for the IT to change your choices.

Note generator is brilliant. The more you use it, the easier it gets. My notes are more specific to the patient than they would be with templates. Fast, easy, and intuitive.

Cons:

Nothing leaps to mind. Great software, great support. Like any software, you have to learn how to use it. But that's easy. Very intuitive.

Praxis is the way to go!

The team is really easy to work with and I truly believe in their product. It is true AI. Its simplicity saves time because you are not clicking multiple icons to get one job done.

They have a great costumer support and management team. I like how the software is so smart. My notes are the most completed and note taking is easy.

Cons:

Because the software learns from you, you are really customizing the database from scratch. It takes patience to set it all up.

Have used Praxis for years

have used for 16 years in family practice. Have used other systems while precepting residents like Athena, Epic, Misys. Have been genuinely happy with my choice.

Great value, Timely Support, implementing AI features/scribing to help with note taking. It’s not Athena or Epic so they actually know who I am.

Cons:

Praxis is very customizable almost to a fault. They are not Athena or Epic so updates don’t come weekly.

Speed and accuracy. The learning curve is not difficult. The software seems to think the way I think and works with me not against me.

Cons:

That I did not know about it sooner because it makes practice fun! It is enjoyable to leave at the end of the day, knowing that all of the paperwork is completed accurately.

Praxis works the way I do

Praxis has made my work noticeably smoother and less stressful. Charting no longer feels like a constant battle and I actually finish my notes on time. Going back to my old EHR isn’t even something I’d consider.

What I like most about Praxis is that it learns how I practice. Instead of forcing me into endless clicking, and it adapts to my clinical thinking and style. Over time, charting has gotten faster and more accurate, and I spend less time fighting the system. I’m able to focus on my patients instead of the screen, which has made my days feel more manageable and far less frustrating.

Cons:

It’s a powerful system, and once it starts learning how you work, it gets fast. No complaints so far.

Best EMR on the market

Used for over 15 years, continues to evolve with the changing landscape in medicine, keeps getting better with unique added features that further improve workflow, security, flexibility, interfacing with other medical/laboratory software programs.

Pros:

Super flexible, allows me to create my own unique EMR to match my practice. That leads to much greater efficiency managing patients, taking quality notes, laboratory interface, navigation through the various tasks of med refills, incorporation of lab values into the record in a streamlined fashion. I could not ask for better customer support and value for my money to make my work flow easier. There are lots of ways to interact securely with the patient portal to deliver information and answer questions as well.

Cons:

I like Praxis EMR; it has served me better than any other program I have tried. I would not go back to any other.

Praxis EMR customizable and works great in a PCP practice

Overall, I find Praxis EMR to be excellent. Because it is customizable, I am able to create a written handout for each patient which I provide at each visit. At the next visit, I can open the prior handout which is easily be updated, so I can provide written instructions for patients with their personalized plan and "to do" list. Patients really love this feature!

Pros:

I especially like that Praxis EMR is customizable. As a primary care physician, I'm able to tailor the EMR specifically to optimize its use in my practice. Also, customer support is top-notch. The Praxis trainer who originally taught me how to use Praxis continues makes herself available for any questions I have.

Cons:

Several years ago, Praxis EMR sometimes ran slowly; however, this was corrected by moving from my office server to the cloud, and since the "C-sharp" upgrade a couple years ago, Praxis responds even faster. Praxis EMR is continuously updated, and just keeps getting better and better.
