A therapist's EMR

Moving from a more medical based EMR system, TheraPlan has been easy to navigate. My eyes do not fatigue as easily with the layout, design, and colors used.

PROS

TheraPlan was made with the working therapist in mind. It's easy to look and and navigate through, with all vital information presented on the Dashboard page. It provides easy access to Patient List, To Do list, opened Encounters, and Schedule. The chat feature and payroll page are handy as well. I personally like the accessibility to see the referring physician, documents, patient notes, insurance information/authorization, etc. for each client as well.

CONS

Documenting in TheraPlan can be a bit redundant. I have found myself inputting information under goals as well as the Assessment Summary text box, or having to list materials used during sessions in the "Materials Used" text box despite the information being included in my assessment summary as we have been advised to try to fill every box. Additionally, while the chat feature in theory is great, it does not always send messages and there is not way of knowing if the recipient has received your message.
