Had a really good experience with the product. Used it for a 400 people conference.

PROSEase of use. Hands down, it allowed non techies to actually create a mobile app. It's easier than drag and drop type of templates and the fact that it's all boxed in and within a certain templated frame makes it easy. There's no design / html or any knowledge to be had if you want to build an app. Some of our people are in the UK and they were still able to hear back from support fairly early their time. Support felt like it was humans doing it not just a ticket system.
CONSOur windows phone employees had to access the app on a computer. We only had 2 people with Windows Phones.

Great balance of features, functionality, easy of implementation and ease of use.
We have used Yapp for several Conferences and user feedback is always very positive. Building the App and Admin is straight forward.
PROSAbility to limit distribution to a list of users is a deal breaker for us. From an Admin perspective it is very easy to build, deploy and update Apps. The ability to import schedules, speakers, etc. from a CSV file is time saving and helpful.
CONSSo far, we have used Yapp exclusively for Conferences. While the App is great, the pricing model is unhelpful. On average, we build an App and use it for maybe 2 months (pre, during and post conference). However, we can't build a new app for the next conference within the same year without purchasing an additional App even though we are no longer using the App for the past conference. For us, it would be hugely useful if there were an option to license by Active Apps, i.e. be able to reuse the license when an App is archived, and/or have a monthly license. Would love to see some integrations with CRM, forms, etc.
Reason for choosing Yapp
I don't exactly remember but factors certainly included: 1) security, the ability to restrict access to a list of users, 2) unlimited users, i.e. not licensed per user, 3) real time updates to the App pushed to users, i.e. without reinstalling the App, 4) offline access to the App and likely more great features.

It's easy to use so we can communicate it with the team.
CONSWe can't post more than just one picture at a time. There's no capability to do a livestream on there.

Conference App
I was very happy with the app. I would highly recommend.
PROSThe ease of use was great, I loved that I could copy and paste as well as drag and drop for photo
CONSI didn't find any I think some of the things that I think were missing were more I need to understand the app better to roll out certain things to our delegates.

Great app for our conference
Easy to administer an easy
PROSWe used it for a scavenger hunt and people had to post pictures. Great schedule feature.
CONSNothing was on my Compass list. One thing our old Apted is integrate attendee data from our website registration and we did not see this as a feature.
