No incentive was offered #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 1/5 - Value for money: 1/5 - Customer support: 1/5 - Functionality: 1/5 #### Pros Dear Soundtrap Team,I am writing to express my sheer frustration and disbelief concerning an unwarranted subscription under my account and the subsequent, seemingly insurmountable, challenges faced during the cancellation process.Upon discovering an active subscription to Soundtrap—a service I do not recall subscribing to—my initial surprise quickly morphed into frustration as I embarked on what can only be described as a bewildering journey through your cancellation process. The unresponsive cancellation buttons and perpetual timeout errors I encountered at every attempt have not only forcibly tethered me to your service but have also unyieldingly drained my financial resources against my will.As a consumer, navigating through the digital era, I have come to expect transparency, ethical practices, and a modicum of user-friendly interactions from platforms, especially ones that leverage subscription models. My experience with Soundtrap, to put it mildly, has stood in stark contrast to these reasonable expectations. It feels as though I have been ensnared in a maze of subscriptions and unwanted charges, navigating through a deliberately obfuscated cancellation process, leaving me financially and emotionally depleted. The absence of a straightforward, functional pathway to cancel subscriptions is not only a blatant disregard for user autonomy but also dents the very essence of ethical business c #### Cons They are a scam. They lock you into subscriptions and refuse to let you cancel without jumping through numerous hoops. "just click the cancel button" I did. It doesn't work. What a scam. --- ### Soundtrap (Spotify) Review - Overall rating: 4/5 - Reviewer: Raj kumar K. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Information Technology and Services - Company size: 501-1000 employees - Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years - Reviewed: November 2022 - Review source details: This review was submitted organically. Overall Sountrap has solved the problem of audio production on a Chromebook. It is very handy to be able to teach basic audio production using a web-based platform all my students can access. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros As a technology teacher, I often run into a problem of students learning software they do not have access to outside of the classroom. Soundcloud solves this problem and more. Soundcloud brings audio production to the web without the need for expensive software or hardware. The virtual instruments and editing tools allow users to create and edit music right in their web browser. Being web-based is a total gamechanger for this type of software. #### Cons For all its good, the site can be unstable at times. The interface is somewhat busy and if your project gets too complicated it can easily crash the site. It works for basic projects but if you get too ambitious it could backfire. --- ### Good platform for content creation with music - Overall rating: 4/5 - Reviewer: Bandaru S. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Higher Education - Company size: 51-200 employees - Product usage: Used weekly for less than 12 months - Reviewed: January 2023 - Review source details: This review was submitted organically. No incentive was offered I really enjoy all of the cool loops and One-Shots there are and all of the different artists there are to choose from. I found this service very useful and cool and I will keep using it for years to come. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros I really like how easy it is to use. It puts all of the basic things you need right in from of you. It also lets you directly upload your music to YouTube and SoundCloud or your podcasts directly to Spotify! Also, I like how their loop search engine can detect certain songs from certain artists and help you find loops that sound like them. #### Cons Over 17,000+ loops are locked under a paywall. Same thing as exporting a song in a .ogg and .wav file. I think that maybe a little bit could be less restricted and things would be a lot smoother for an artist who doesn't have a budget at all. --- ### One of the best music software - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Ragu G. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Hospital & Health Care - Company size: 2-10 employees - Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years - Reviewed: January 2024 - Review source details: This review was submitted organically. No incentive was offered I think this, is the app everyone needs to start making music, it's not hard to make a good-sounding song in Soundtrap. Yes, this is the perfect app for making music, but if you want to mix or master it to make it sound professional, it's not sufficient. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros UI is beautiful, straightforward. Because of that, beginner producers (or littery everyone) can start making music with little to no experience in music production. Also, the UI makes beginner musicians not scared to make music, which is one of the problems when they see most of DAW. It has most of the features for basic usage of a DAW, like piano roll, awesome beatmaker, and filter, which is sufficient for music-making. #### Cons It's web-based, which means you can't use this app when you're offline. Also, if you're an odd meter progressive rock fan like me, it has only 3/4 and 4/4 time signature, which is not enough for that kind of music. --- ### Spotify - Awesome Music & Podcast App Ever - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Mohamed H. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Computer Networking - Company size: 2-10 employees - Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years - Reviewed: December 2022 - Review source details: This review was submitted organically.
